We reserve this place because it said that they have a laundry facility, but they didn't. They need to correct their hotel information. There was no shampoo/conditioner in the bath room, so we had to go get it to the front desk. Like someone mentioned, it smelled pee in the elevator. Again, if we know there is no laundry room for guests, we would have made a reservation across the street which was Hilton.

This was a Quality Inn that became a Motel 6. Gym and coin laundry both removed. The room: Good: -Mattress wrapped in bed bug proof sheets. No signs of any. -Hot water, TV, Heat/AC, refrigerator all worked Bad: dirty. Like really dirty. Walls covers in handprints. Floor sticky. Smelled of dog and fabreeze. I bought a mop and odoban spray floor cleaner/disinfectant. It took three passes to clean the floor and not have a dirty mop. After that, the dog smell was gone. Still a strong fabreeze scent that I think was on the furniture. For the walls, I used a magic eraser and towel (see picture). The room cleaned up well. Also, the room looks like it was trashed by a past guest. AC (while functional) it was clearly smashed up. Same for picture frames and headboard. The window curtain was not fitted properly, and it was a 1st floor room next to an entrance. I'm sure some peeked in the window. Over 3 days I never heard a vacuum in the hallway, but I saw a lot of fabreeze sprayed on the hallway carpets. Why didn't I ask for another room or go elsewhere? It was dirt cheap rate that I prepaid for. I figured the other rooms would be the same. Better to clean it to my standards.

Motel 6 was adequate for our stay. There are photos online that show a fitness area, but there is not a fitness area. There is a sign on the outside of the building for NO SMOKING within 25 feet, but there were several travelers smoking outside, leaning on the sign, in fact. The hallways are outdated and rough looking, which can deter you from staying at this motel. However, the room looked better, which made a difference in our decision to stay at this motel.

No coffee pot in room or coffee in the lobby available. Parking lot is very tight. Key cards had to be reset multiple times and always had to wait on someone to come back from smoking to assist. Beds were comfortable but pillows go flat quickly. Elevator moves quite a bit when entering. No linen services during a multiple night stay. Floor trim dirty. Bathroom lock broken. No shampoo in shower. Lots of masking tape left from a renovation. 2nd story window opens fully, safety hazard for kids, no way to lock window.

Motel has a 7. Something rating for cleanliness….. I’d love to know where that came from. As soon as you walk in stale cigarettes hit you. The carpet in the hallways absolutely disgusting. The walls everywhere disgusting. Bathtub clearly not scrubbed. We were only staying the night so we just went to target down the street got bleach air freshener and pillows. The floor had like a soft spot. The refrigerator rocked. And we were woken up @5:45 by a barking dog that was still barking @8:30 when we left. 10/10 don’t recommend.

The rooms were fairly clean, but the corridors and hallways were filthy. There were bits of debris everywhere. One room was even open and it looked like it had been torn apart as in a war zone. Cigarette butts all over the entryways near the entrances and exits.

The property was the most affordable and close to our activities but the common areas (halls, stairwells, entrance) were all dirty (trash and leaves on the carpet) and they smelled of smoke. The furnishings in the room showed a lot of wear and tear, the water pressure was weak, lighting was dim (bulbs missing in light fixtures), there was what looked to be a blood stain on the mattress cover (not the sheets), there were stains on the ceiling.

I was not too impressed with the hotel based on the reviews. I thought it would be better. The noise from the nearby highway was unbearable and the noise from the dogs barking and people screaming in the hallways. The hotel was easy to find and near lots of shopping. Unfortunately, the condition of the room left a lot to be desired. There was no handle on the water in the shower (you had to grab it with a towel to turn it on and off). The light over the bathroom sink didn't work. There were cigarette burns in one comforter.

To say it was "no frills" is an understatement. The refrigerator didn't work. The ice machine was removed from our floor and the only working ice machine was on the first floor. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. The HVAC system didn't work. This hotel missed the mark on most requirements for a decent hotel stay. I wanted to email Tom Bodette and tell him THIS Motel 6 definitely didn't "leave the light on."

There were a lot of dogs staying here and several permanent guests. A strong smell of marijuana permeated the side entrance. The heat didn't work in our room. The girl working was very responsive and moved us to a different room where the heat did work. The to floors were sticky, the lamps dirty and shades falling off, the pillows were lumpy and needed replacing, the tubs and showers were cracked and in need of repairs. It needs some serious TLC

Besides how well they run the place, which is truly noteworthy, they go beyond above and beyond. Certainly a basic hotel. The room was clean. It was clever to use LVP flooring to avoid typical problems with carpeting. There were people just hanging out in the parking lot smoking every time we came in or out (including a staff member). The staff did not seem to be professionally trained. It felt more like someone asked a neighbor to cover the front desk. The decor in the hallways was gloomy. Not that any of this was bad. About what I would expect for an unusually inexpensive ($80) room. Clean, comfortable and I never felt unsafe. No iron, but the front desk provided a loaner (reduces theft, I guess), and we used the desk and a towel as a makeshift ironing board. Just a basic room, which is what we were paying for. Considering the next-best hotel option was about $300 a night, it was fine. The hotel is on the main drag of Route 30, on the end closest to town, but being in the middle of the block with heavy traffic, getting in and out required a bit of patience. My biggest challenge, if any, was that my reservation said “pay at hotel.” My intention was to change to my business debit card at check in, but when I arrived, the payment had already been processed and the staff weren't equipped to change it.

Only needed one night and my go to hotel in downtown Lancaster had a major price increase from a year ago. This motel is tired and worn, despite some evidence of a cosmetic upgrade. The location is poor and right on a busy section of Route 30 just before the bypass section. No AC in the common areas so the windows were open. Room AC did work fine. No coffee maker or coffee in the lobby. Room was clean at least. When I checked in a State Trooper arrived on the lot and the staff seemed used to him showing up. Next morning as I was checking out there were 2 police cars and an ambulance there. None of that inspires confidence in the place. It was cheap for summer in Lancaster, but the lesson is you get what you pay for.....

In the pictures of the rooms it showed a coffee maker in the room and it didn’t have one. On the sight it showed a continental breakfast it didn’t have one. The carpets in the halls and stair wells was dirty but the room was clean and nice. Only down side no shampoo or conditioner in the room.
