Pros: A very clean and pleasant place to stay. Breakfast was ok, having standard continental fare plus oatmeal and hard-boiled eggs. Good TV channel selections. Cons: The pillows were absolutely awful and the wifi was spotty at best. The self-advertised "business center" doesn't exist. The "gym" door was locked all the time for some reason.

Lots of parking available. Easy check in. Room was a nice size. Quiet. Free breakfast. Room had a fridge and microwave. Plus there was a Walmart a quick drive away. Right near the highway. Would consider staying there again

Overall very clean, AC works great has self service laundry on site, ice machine and good coffee. I would stay again. I didn’t like the water pressure in the shower! Water was barely running. Also got charged double fees but was told they going to fall off automatically and I got my receipt for the proper amount. We will see..

As soon as we walked into our room it smelled of mildew. Very overwhelming. If we had the time, we would have asked for a new room but we were heading to a wedding and unfortunately did not have the time to talk to the front desk. The room definitely was in need of major updates. We also had a huge cobweb that went from the light on the nightstand to the ceiling.

Extremely Disappointed – Misleading Description, Allergens, and Mold ★☆☆☆☆ I booked this hotel through Expedia based on the room description and photos, but what we received was nothing like what was advertised. The room was not only different from what was promised, but also in poor condition—thick dust everywhere that immediately triggered allergies for both myself and my young daughter. Even worse, we found visible mold in the room—an unacceptable health risk, especially for a child. It’s clear that cleanliness and guest safety are not priorities here. We were extremely uncomfortable and had trouble sleeping due to our allergy symptoms and concern about the air quality. I am requesting a partial or full refund for this stay, as this experience did not remotely match what we paid for or expected. I’m extremely disappointed and hope Expedia and the hotel take this seriously and make it right.

This was a very nice hotel. The room was very spacious and quite comfortable. The road noise was minimal. The breakfast area was clean and seemed to be kept up well, though use of the toaster kept tripping a breaker. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. If we have a need to book a hotel in Lancaster again, I'm sure we'll think of Lancaster Suites.

Arrived with two young children after a long day of traveling and a wonderful day spent at Dutch Wonderland. As the wife prepared the children for bed, I inspected the beds and general cleanliness of the room, only to discover dog feces in multiple places including next to the bed and in the closet. After reporting this to the front desk, they offered to clean it, which they did with wipes and a quick spray of the two areas. The general manager, whom I called on Monday made herself unavailable to speak with me, but told her associate to let me know that since they cleaned the poop, that I would not be compensated in any way. If a hotel is going to allow pets, the floors should not be carpeted so proper cleaning and sanitizing can be done for the next guest. This hotel has dark brown carpeting, perfect for hiding filth. Disgraceful customer service, especially in the hospitality business. The front desk person who cleaned the poop was completely unapologetic. Stay somewhere else.

We LOVED Lancaster Suites!! The rooms were spacious and clean. There were seating options, a nice mini fridge with freezer, extra sink, prep area, big closet, and comfy beds. The staff were EXCELLENT!! Breakfast included hot and cold options and was always well stocked. We will definitely stay here again!

Rooms were clean and spacious, but layout pretty strange with the bathroom right next to the bed with no ventilation in the bathroom. The kitchenette was also in the bathroom area..! We stayed 3 nights. This was a nonsmoking hotel, but every afternoon and evening we came back to the hotel our entire hallway on our floor wreaked of marijuana. We reported it to the front desk clerk. A couple hours later we returned to the hotel and 2 girls came walking from outside around the back of the hotel, followed by the hotel desk clerk we had reported the marijuana smell on our floor too, which raised some other questions in our mind. We rode the elevator up to our floor and the girls both smelled terribly of marijuana. Maybe we this is the norm for this hotel and we are the abnorm now, but we chose this hotel as a nonsmoking hotel but clearly it was not and since we do not smoke marijuana the smell was very unbearable and unpleasant to us.

The room was clean and very nice size. Bathroom also clean and adequate. The king bed was very hard and uncomfortable for us. The breakfast was lacking, coffee creamers empty and frozen pastries. Fortunately there are many choices with a couple minutes of the hotel for food.

Area very loud by major road at night! Hotel is very very dated!!! Furniture looks like it’s fixing to fall apart, it’s so old! Mattress in room felt like I was sleeping on the floor, it was so hard. It would have been nice if they had fresh fruit such as bananas, oranges, or apples for breakfast.

Check in/out was quick and easy. Room was spacious and comfortable. Be advised hitel faces highway so a bit on the noisy side with front rooms. Inside hotel was quiet, and had a simple selection of breakfast foods to get you going. Was a great place to stay for the price i paid!

The stay was fine. We were in the area for only one night, and the room was adequate. The included breakfast was mediocre. It was as expected for the price. My issue is that I paid for the booking through hotels.com, and the Hawthorn Inn charged me for the stay a second time when we checked out. I have spoken with the hotel and with a rep from hotels.com, and provided multiple documentations of the double charge, and no one has issued a refund. The hotel refuses to acknowledge that they charged my card despite providing copies of my credit card statement.

The place was "OK" - you can tell they had given certain things a face lift (namely in the bathroom). I would hardly classify the rooms as "suites" (space-wise). The biggest complaint I have is that we left our kids' pillows in our room upon check-out. When I came back a few hours later (since we were still in the area after the kids' tournament), I spoke to the lady at the front desk, and she didn't seem to care to help. She said the room has already been given to someone. She didn't seem to mind that they could be using our pillows (which had a totally different pillow cover, vs the white ones provided by the hotel). All she said is that there's no manager on duty over the weekend. Not only did she have no idea what to do, my problem is that she didn't care. The staff from the day that I checked in, and when I checked out in the morning were fine, though.

This was by far one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Lancaster. Front desk clerks were very accomodating. My group came early and we had no problem getting into our rooms early. Service excellent. Rooms excellent. Food was wonderful. Looking forward to my next stay there.

Housekeeping did not clean our room or provide fresh towels at all during our stay. We had to go down to the main desk and request. When we left on our last day, three of them were just talking in the hallway. The toilet in our bathroom was small and low. Like a child's toilet. Being older with bad knees, it was very difficult to use. Plus it was right up against the wall. Very tight. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean. I liked the area. Parking was good. The kitchenette area was very nice (fridge, microwave, sink).

After starting with a 40 minute wait (not an exaggeration) while the receptionist slept soundly in the back. This hotel is a decent , no frills hotel. It is tightly fit between two adjacent highways, which was not obvious dfrom the description or from uring prior reviews. The rooms were well insulated when windows were closed, but there was 24 hours noise when windows were opened, or in the reception area. The location is central and close to all the Pennsylvania Dutch attractions. Staff were nice..

Same eggs every day. Where was the fresh fruit? Need more variety. No kitchen utensils, no plates, no kitchen towel or paper towels in the room. All would have been nice since there is room to heat food. Seems I remember they used to be there. I did however love the refrigerator with nice size freezer for our cold packs. Too bad the highway noise is right next to hotel on both sides.

The property was fine. Front desk service was good, always friendly. Breakfast needed a change up. We were there for 4 mornings and breakfast was the same every day. Some bacon or sausage would be nice. Also some fresh fruit and not the canned peaches every day. Donuts and bagels exactly the same and sometimes still frozen. Room cleaning was very poor. One day we got no service at all. Twice I had to go ask for fresh towels and I had to go to the front desk for toilet paper as none was ever replaced and the girl had none on her cart. The price was excellent but service could still use an upgrade.
