Bad smell throughout the hotel. Door handles missing…lobby button on the elevator not working so had to take the stairs half way down to the lobby. Room looked like it was from the 1980’s…on the second night, a staff member accused us of having a trailer in the middle of the road as they were looking at the camera and confused us with a car parked three spots over that had a roof rack/storage bin. We were totally disappointed with the overall shape of the hotel and tried to check out a day early to stay elsewhere but, could not get a refund for the second night as I booked through Expedia. We would not stay here again even if it was free.

The website says it has a restaurant. The sign on the roof says it has a restaurant. The lady at the desk says “there’s a restaurant 10 minutes drive that way”. The website says ‘king bed rooms with river view’. One looked over a car park with the river in the distance, the other looked over a building next door. There was a continental breakfast but I’m not sure what continent it was from.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean room. This building needs some repairs. The elevator was down, the doorknob on the main floor door to the stairs was missing. No knobs on the dresser drawers in the rooms (we had to switch due to the elevator being down)

Un matelas sur deux était très dur. La salle de bain est désuète et le bain manquait de propreté. Le restaurant était fermé et il y a très peu d’option pour manger dans cette ville. Le stationnement arrière faisait peur, mal entretenu. L’ascenseur faisait des sons étranges. Nous ne recommandons pas cet établissement.

Sad to see that maintenance is not there. Room 307. All the drawer handles were off and sitting in the doors. No door knob when accessing main floor from stairs Elevator doesn’t stop at the lobby you have to go to the basement then walk up the stairs

The hotel is very poorly maintained. As soon as you enter the floor it seems like a haunted place with lack of light. Very dark color paint in the room. Also the bathroom and the room stinks. The bathroom aeration was full of dusk. I do not recommend.

Dame de réception très gentille, mais sinon l’hôtel est vieux et désuet. N’offre aucun type de déjeuner (mesures Covid pourtant terminées). Glace au sous-sol. L’ascenseur fonctionne mal: nous étions au 4e et chaque fois que nous voulions sortir (lobby), il nous apportait d’abord en bas complètement. Ventilateur de salle de bains bouché par la saleté, ne fonctionnait pas alors grandes coulisses un peu partout dans la chambre sur les mur, beaucoup dans la salle de bains. Lit propre, mais matelas mou. Ce fut très compliqué de faire fonctionner le câble pour la télé. Correct pour 1 nuit, si on n’a pas d’attentes.

The room was COLD, as no heat was turned on, there was dirt under the bed and in the bathtub. The beds were double beds and not queen beds as was stated. The room was missing a tissue box. On the up side the staff were friendly.

Stopped here on the way to Baie Comeau and on the way back. Beds were comfy, price was good. Staff was nice. Very quiet, not a lot of people staying which is unfortunate as this is a gem of a hotel.

The staff was excellent but there was a hockey team staying on the same level as us and they were very noisy. Doors opening and closing chatting in the hallway. 1:30am it started. Needless to say we didn't get very much sleep. Some of the bread for breakfast was moldy. I pointed it out and it was taken care of. Don't think we'd stay there again.

The only bane with this hotel was the shower head and tub faucet were always active when having a shower. With getting that minor convience out of the way, it was incredible. The view was great, historical structures, exploring and the people were all fantastic. I have no issues recommending this hotel in the future.

Could not check in at check in time of 4 pm. Room was not ready. Most places are 3 pm check in time! Front end staff really were not concerned that patrons were being inconvenienced with the wait. Their attitude was oh well it is what it is.

There was a problem with the expedia application. I made a reservation for 2 rooms (4 adults). Tough the application confirmed the réservation, once in site, only 1 of the 2 rooms was confirmed. The staff went above and behond to accomodate us and they deserve a 5 star review. However, I am not so satisfied with the Expedia application. After investigation from the Days Inn staff, it seems that the Expedia application was faulty. So, max 2 stars for them.

Clean and comfortable, staff were excellent and very helpful. Location is central and parking was convenient. The only glitch we had was the room’s door key stopped working in the middle of the night, something about the electrical lock, had to get the front desk to help us a few times. Otherwise great stay!

The smell of mold was overwhelming and likely very unhealthy. It was everywhere but less so in the room. The breakfast was cold, eggs and bacon. The cold cereal was fine but no fresh fruits. Miserable stay - the worst I have ever experienced. We would have left if there was another hotel.
