The hotel is in a great location to walk to restaurants, shops, the water front, and historocal sites. The breakfast buffet is good, but not great. The building is older, but well maintained. It has a rooftop bar with a great view of the waterfront.

It was a perfect choice. The hotel staff was helpful and guest friendly. The room service was just perfect. The hotel was very clean and the sauna was also nice. Only the pool water was too cold to dive into it again and again :). On the whole 10/10 for me.

The outside look is amazing but inside it’s outdated. Parking is a nightmare in the area. Breakfast selection is not good quality, they serve tea in water cups. Overpriced considering other 5 star hotels in Istanbul. Everything is very old school, they don’t take your credit card for provision, instead asking for $100 cash. Because everything is so old school and parking debacle the check out is about 30 to 45 minutes wait.

The personal was nice, friendly and was helpful. The hotels front and lobby gives 5 star impression, the bed was really good. However the rooms was very noisy from the people in the lobby and corridor. Also every time someone showered or flushed in the neighbouring room you could hear it loudly. The temperature in the room was not possible to regulate and it was very warm during the nights. All that together resulted in not so good sleep and not so cheerful vacation. If you are planning to book this hotel for the spa, bring a thick wallet cause the jacuzzi itself costs 75$/person for 45 minutes.

Arabayla gidecekseniz otopark sorunu çok sıkıntılı isparklar uzun süreli almıyor. Katlı otopark var oda 10 dk yürüme mesafesinde odalar temiz ama koridor tarfındaki odalara gürültü çok geliyor. Personel ilgiliydi.

Otel konum olarak çok merkezi bir yerde. Arabayla gitmenizi tavsiye etmem çünkü gündüz saat 10-8 arası sokak trafiğe kapalı. Vale ücreti günlük €15. Gayet temiz ve personel çok yardımcı oldu. Özcan beye hassaten teşekkür ederim.

Auch die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend: zentral gelegen und ideal, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt zu erkunden. Leider war meine Erfahrung mit dem Zimmer enttäuschend. Für ein Fünf-Sterne-Hotel hätte ich mir deutlich mehr erwartet. Das Zimmer war nicht sauber, was besonders bei der Toilette und dem Bett auffiel. Es war sehr dreckig und eckelhaft. Trotz mehrfacher Aufforderung an die Putzkraft wurde das Problem nicht behoben, und der Zustand blieb unzureichend. Ein weiteres großes Problem war die Klimatisierung der Zimmer. Unser erstes Zimmer hatte zwar ein Fenster, doch es handelte sich lediglich um ein Innenfenster, kein Außenfenster, das man öffnen konnte, um zu lüften. Dadurch fehlte jegliche Frischluftzufuhr, und die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht. Das Zimmer war dadurch unangenehm warm, was uns zwang, in ein anderes Zimmer zu wechseln. Leider waren auch hier unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Selbst im Winter kann es in einem Zimmer warm werden, und ohne funktionierende Klimaanlage schwitzt man regelrecht.Zusätzlich sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig man konnte ständig die Stimmen aus den Nachbarzimmern hören, was den Erholungseffekt erheblich störte. Man konnte 1-1 alles mitbekommen!!

1/5 – Very Disappointing Stay We had a very bad experience at this hotel. At check-in (2:00 PM), our room was not ready, and we ended up waiting until 2:40 PM with no proper explanation or excuse. Even though I explained to the staff that we were extremely tired after an early morning flight, they simply advised us to wait in the lobby, and even suggested we order tea or coffee with extra charges!!! We had two rooms, and while one of them had the AC working perfectly, our room had no AC at all. When we asked for help, they told us the AC wasn’t working because it’s “winter time”, even though the temperature was 22°C. The funny part is that the other room had AC! We needed the AC because opening the window meant dealing with a lot of noise and mosquitoes, which made it impossible to rest. Once we finally got the room, it was far from clean, the bathroom and bathtub were dirty, the bed sheets didn’t look fresh, and even the carpets were not clean. Breakfast was another disappointment. The restaurant had dirty chairs, unclean tables, and even the tea cups were not properly washed. On top of that, our room key kept malfunctioning, and we had to pass by reception every single time to fix it. To make things worse, many staff members were rude and unprofessional. This is absolutely NOT a 5-star hotel, and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Das Hotel im allgemeinen war gut. Ich würde auch immer wieder hin. Die Lage ist perfekt und man hat jede Menge Einkaufs- und Essmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung. Eminönü/Mısır çarşısı ist in circa 5 min. zu Fuß erreichbar. Das normale Standard Zimmer ist mit dem nötigsten ausgestattet. Fön, Kosmetikartikel, Safe und Minibar. Sauberkeit: Für ein Fünf-Sterne-Hotel war die Sauberkeit leider nicht auf dem erwarteten Niveau. Unter dem Toilettendeckel befanden sich getrocknete Urinflecken, die offenbar schon länger dort waren und sich leicht hätten entfernen lassen. Im Badezimmer waren mehrere Schimmelflecken in den Fugen und Leisten zu sehen sowie deutliche Kalkablagerungen. Service & Details: Für Kaltgetränke wurden frisch gespülte, noch heiße Gläser bereitgestellt – angenehmer wäre es gewesen, diese vorher abkühlen zu lassen. Einige Salzstreuer beim Frühstück waren zudem verstopft, was den Eindruck erweckte, dass solche Details vor dem Service nicht kontrolliert wurden. Gesamteindruck: Abgesehen von der Reinigung handelt es sich um eher kleine Mängel – vielleicht Meckern auf hohem Niveau. Das Hotel ist ansonsten sehr schön, und ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchte ich den Gepäckservice (Kofferträger/Konzierge), der ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und serviceorientiert war.

The room was very run down with small damages to furniture and walls. There was possibly black mold in the bathroom behind a gap between the bathtub and wall. The room was very dark and not easy to see. We ran out of toilet paper and I had to go to the front desk twice to ask for more as no one attended after the first request. There was caulking built up along the bathtub edge to prevent water from spilling onto the ground. The bathroom counter was not very spacious. The bed was not a King size, it was a either a Queen or Double and was not very comfy. The black out curtains did not extend to all windows, so light came in from the atrium. Additionally, noise from the atrium carried through the windows into our room. We did not receive the 10% discount on spa service as the booking stated.

Stayed for two nights. Very friendly and helpful front desk and guest relations. Clean facilities. Very assessable to tram and ferry terminal. Very good shopping selection on the very street of the hotel. The breakfast selection was amazing, breakfast started at 6:30 a.m. which gave us plenty of time to eat and get an early start.

The hotel is decent but most of the ‘wow’ factor is in the main communal areas, such as the lobby, the spa and the lift. The rooms themselves feel outdated, especially in the bathrooms. Positiv hervorzuheben ist jedoch das Housekeeping sehr bemüht und freundlich.

Great if your grandma comes to visit. No electrical outlets for your phone. Watch, tablet. You have to unplug the night stand table lights so you can charge uour phone. Zentral gelegen, ich hatte Probleme Taxis für An- und Abreise zu finden. Die Lage mitten in Eminönü ist aber sehr gut für Ausflüge zu Fuß. Das Guest Room Zimmer hatte kein Fenster nach außen, sondern nur in den "Innenhof". Es kam weder viel Licht durch das Fenster, noch war die Lampe im Raum hell - es war also immer etwas düster. Wasserdruck der Dusche war gut, Bett bequem. Frühstück war türkisch, Kaffee hatte nur Automatenniveau, also verzichtbar. Würde dem Hotel 3 Sterne geben, das historische Gebäude und die Lage haben wohl zu 5 verholfen.

The personal was nice, friendly and was helpful. The hotels front and lobby gives 5 star impression, the bed was really good. However the rooms was very noisy from the people in the lobby and corridor. Also every time someone showered or flushed in the neighbouring room you could hear it loudly. The temperature in the room was not possible to regulate and it was very warm during the nights. All that together resulted in not so good sleep and not so cheerful vacation. If you are planning to book this hotel for the spa, bring a thick wallet cause the jacuzzi itself costs 75$/person for 45 minutes.

We stayed in November and for some reason there was no air con available in the rooms only heating and the rooms were stuffy and uncomfortably hot. There was also poor lighting in the rooms which made shaving and applying make up difficult. 1/5 – Very Disappointing Stay We had a very bad experience at this hotel. At check-in (2:00 PM), our room was not ready, and we ended up waiting until 2:40 PM with no proper explanation or excuse. Even though I explained to the staff that we were extremely tired after an early morning flight, they simply advised us to wait in the lobby, and even suggested we order tea or coffee with extra charges!!! We had two rooms, and while one of them had the AC working perfectly, our room had no AC at all. When we asked for help, they told us the AC wasn’t working because it’s “winter time”, even though the temperature was 22°C. The funny part is that the other room had AC! We needed the AC because opening the window meant dealing with a lot of noise and mosquitoes, which made it impossible to rest. Once we finally got the room, it was far from clean, the bathroom and bathtub were dirty, the bed sheets didn’t look fresh, and even the carpets were not clean. Breakfast was another disappointment. The restaurant had dirty chairs, unclean tables, and even the tea cups were not properly washed. On top of that, our room key kept malfunctioning, and we had to pass by reception every single time to fix it. To make things worse, many staff members were rude and unprofessional. This is absolutely NOT a 5-star hotel, and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

As soon as I booked, the hotel guest relations team reached out. I mentioned it was a short break to celebrate my wife’s birthday and requested a Bosporus view room. To my delight, we were given that dream room, even though it was normally a higher rate. The room was clean and tidy, well-maintained considering its age. The breakfast was truly 5-star quality — varied, fresh, and delicious. Staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, making us feel warmly welcomed. Specially, guest relation officer Ms Salma used to welcome us every morning and had a good chat and wellbeing. We returned home with wonderful memories of this stay. The thoughtful service and stunning view made it unforgettable

Very poor customer service. Istanbul very beautiful but the hotel has ruined our holiday. The shuttle service that was booked was awful. Dropped us on the main road saying that he cannot get to the hotel. We had to drag two kids and 4 luggages for 10 minutes to get to our hotel. We complained about the shuttle service the reception staff showed no sympathy and was quite rude. The breakfast buffet was a waste of money, the food selection is very low. The room cleaning was not done regularly. The return shuttle service was confirmed at the desk for 6am but they messed it up again and woke us up at 2am saying that our shuttle service is waiting. Very awful customer service. The hotel is very nice and the foreign staff are very friendly. I found the local staff very rude and not friendly. The manager who sorted our return shuttle to airport was very good. The location of the hotel is very good and would have given 5 stars if they hadn’t given us additional stress.

The Legacy Ottoman was great -- except for my "deluxe room with Bosphorous view with king-/twin bed." It had a Bosphorous view, but was cramped & small -- no king or twin beds -- just a double as I'm sure neither a King nor 2 twin beds would have fit. Due to its cramped size, the bathroom was super contorted -- the door was right up against the toilet, tiny vanity with no room for ANY toiletries. However, the staff was friendly, especially Emre! I am elderly, walk with a cane, had 2 bags, & the street in front was closed off to car traffic, so when I left, I had to walk 1 block to get a taxi. Emre brought my bags down & walked them to the corner where it took too many minutes before he could hail me a taxi. I hope his bosses commend him for leaving his post to help a disabled elderly woman on her way!!!

Stayed for two nights. Very friendly and helpful front desk and guest relations. Clean facilities. Very assessable to tram and ferry terminal. Very good shopping selection on the very street of the hotel. The breakfast selection was amazing, breakfast started at 6:30 a.m. which gave us plenty of time to eat and get an early start.

Generally speaking, the staff lied throughout the time we were there. Upon arrival we were shown to a room which was so small it was almost claustrophobic. When we ask for an alternative room he said there weren't any, we then checked online and found that they had lots of availability. For which the receptionist didn't know how to respond to so he ended up changing our room. During the whole time he was mumbling to his self in annoyance which in my opinion was really unprofessional. Upon entering the room there was a strong smell of cigarettes and sewage smell in the bathroom from plugholes but we were so tired we just wanted to sleep so remained in this room - the smells were later resolved by the hotel The service in general was really poor and we would have to call on multiple occasions and repeat our requests to get for example an Iron. The toiletries were not replenished on a daily and we would have to call several times and wait up to an hour before we received it. The worst part of the stay was the check out. Which took over an hour becuase they had to go check the minibar. When they called us over they told us that we owe 200 turkish lira for the minibar (which we didn't even use). So I told them to make sure that they hadn't confused us with another room. They then came back saying actually we owed more (550 turkish Lira). We had to argue for about 10 minutes before 'they did us a favour' and cancelled the bill. Throughout our stay we saw people complaining

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. Booked 2 rooms with at least one twin. On arrival, 1 double room was ready, 2nd was not, they promised this will be ready in a few hours as twin bed. This was not done, also the rooms were not next to each other. The hotel staff member was very rude and displayed shocking behaviour by threatening us not to contact our booking agent. If we do, then he will get mad and angry. I was told the next day the rooms would be arranged as requested, but nothing was done. After repeated requests, our children's room was moved to the 5th floor for a twin bed while we were on the 2nd floor and were told this woul be rectified next day. But they didn't. This is an old rundown hotel with rooms with no natural daylight. Even the light in the rooms is very low. Bathroom fittings are either broken or not fixed properly. Room doors shake when you check to confirm locking. This is not 5 5-star at all. Avoid at your peril. Left 1 day early from the hotel due to feeling unsafe, overall very bad experience. Although we came across guest relations staff when we were checking out, who were apologetic and wanted to help but it was too late. Disappointed that guest relations team asked us to reach out to them via email on our return home, but they did not respond or acknowledge the email. Location is great. The reception area looks good and grand. Don't be fooled by this, as the rest of the hotel is terrible. Especially our rooms.
Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. Booked 2 rooms with at least one twin. On arrival, 1 double room was ready, 2nd was not, they promised this will be ready in a few hours as twin bed. This was not done, also the rooms were not next to each other. The hotel staff member was very rude and displayed shocking behaviour by threatening us not to contact our booking agent. If we do, then he will get mad and angry. I was told the next day the rooms would be arranged as requested, but nothing was done. After repeated requests, our children's room was moved to the 5th floor for a twin bed while we were on the 2nd floor and were told this woul be rectified next day. But they didn't. This is an old rundown hotel with rooms with no natural daylight. Even the light in the rooms is very low. Bathroom fittings are either broken or not fixed properly. Room doors shake when you check to confirm locking. This is not 5 5-star at all. Avoid at your peril. Left 1 day early from the hotel due to feeling unsafe, overall very bad experience. Although we came across guest relations staff when we were checking out, who were apologetic and wanted to help but it was too late. Disappointed that guest relations team asked us to reach out to them via email on our return home, but they did not respond or acknowledge the email. Location is great. The reception area looks good and grand. Don't be fooled by this, as the rest of the hotel is terrible. Especially our rooms.

I’m not going to share too much about my own experience since everyone’s will be different. The hotel is in a fantastic location—less than five minutes from a beautiful grand masjid, right next to the spice bazaar, with the Bosporus river and tram connection just around the corner (5/10 mins), plus plenty of food and shops nearby (perfect!). Hop on the tram and within three stops you’re right outside the Blue Mosque. The hotel room itself looked a bit dated and could do with an upgrade. In one of our rooms the Wi-Fi was very weak, though in the other room it worked just fine. On the positive side, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, and the chef, along with all the staff, was extremely hospitable.

Very poor customer service. Istanbul very beautiful but the hotel has ruined our holiday. The shuttle service that was booked was awful. Dropped us on the main road saying that he cannot get to the hotel. We had to drag two kids and 4 luggages for 10 minutes to get to our hotel. We complained about the shuttle service the reception staff showed no sympathy and was quite rude. The breakfast buffet was a waste of money, the food selection is very low. The room cleaning was not done regularly. The return shuttle service was confirmed at the desk for 6am but they messed it up again and woke us up at 2am saying that our shuttle service is waiting. Very awful customer service. The hotel is very nice and the foreign staff are very friendly. I found the local staff very rude and not friendly. The manager who sorted our return shuttle to airport was very good. The location of the hotel is very good and would have given 5 stars if they hadn’t given us additional stress.

Amazingly well place for exploring the old city. Nice staff, good service and a phenomenal view. The outer areas of the hotel are beautyfull. The rooms are tidy but could use a make over. The breakfast is not as international, as I would expect in a five star hotel, but maybe that is just Turkey.

I been there last month and the location is very good. The breakfast was ok but not the 5* quality. Most of staff were friendly and helpful. The main entrance staff and the receptionists I think they should be more professional.i was travelled with kid and my kid opened one pack of chip and nut which was on the table in my room. And I been charged £25 for those. !!! They charge me around £80 on the arrival day as security money which I never told before. I got the money back anyway.

Stayed for two nights. Very friendly and helpful front desk and guest relations. Clean facilities. Very assessable to tram and ferry terminal. Very good shopping selection on the very street of the hotel. The breakfast selection was amazing, breakfast started at 6:30 a.m. which gave us plenty of time to eat and get an early start.

The bathroom also needs updating, as the toilet seat was moving, the bathroom was not very clean, and everything felt quite old. We also had to ask several times over two days for a proper single bed for our daughter, as she couldn’t sleep comfortably in the baby bed provided. These areas could definitely be improved.

The Hotel was remodeled. Nice building but the front desk staff have no customer service skills, they definitely need a lot of training. I was in room 113, the room had plumbing issues, one day the electricity turned off and the had to send someone to spend 30 minutes to fix it. The only staff member I think she went above and beyond to make sure that guests are happy is Salma.
