What guests think

Across many reviews, Comfort Inn is seen as a simple, good‑value stop with friendly, helpful staff, comfortable beds, and a hot, basic breakfast, providing a quiet, convenient base for short stays and pet‑friendly stopovers.

Rooms are practical but show their age, with recurring reports of noisy or faulty HVAC, slow drains, poor lighting, hard‑to‑use sliding doors, and variable housekeeping. Location is convenient for highways, nearby amenities, and local sights, and some guests like the ground‑floor walkouts and picnic/BBQ areas. Breakfast feedback ranges from plentiful and tasty to limited or not replenished, and the small dining area can feel crowded. Expect a straightforward stay with good value and occasional rough edges.

This hotel is pretty dated in the rooms. Starting to really show its age. My wife and i stayed here a night on a snowmobiling trip. Parking lot is not ideal for trucks and trailers. Very tight. Access to the trail is a bit of road running. They will charge you extras for every little thing. Including a dog (even though they state pet friendly) When we stayed during the week the place was virtually empty . We asked to check out a few hours later so we could snowmobile in the morning before we left. Also an extra charge. The better option if your heading to Midland on a snowmobile trip would be the Midland Inns and Suites. It's right on the trail, newer and a larger truck / trailer friendly parking lot. Also, our non-smoking room smelled like stale smoke at this Comfort Inn. I probably wouldnt return to thus location. In a pinch I guess it'd work but there are defintely better options close by.

The hotel has a yard in the back with picnic tables and a BBQ. Nice for summer. Staff were laid back. The place was generally clean but the ventilation could be improved. Also, the sliding doors need. Screens.

2 floors. No elevator. For someone with mobility issues, stairs were difficult to use. Hallways were extremely hot. Felt like the heat was on all the time. Rooms were air conditioned and kept very clean. If main floor rooms were available, I would consider using this hotel again.

As a friendly pet hotel, this property in particular allows pets at the first floor and the rooms have a convenient slide door to help when the pet needs to going out for walking and others. The property is quiet, has picnic area, and has easy parking.

Within driving distance of downtown Midland and its harbor. Picnic area in a wooded area behind the rooms provided a pleasant and peaceful environment. Direct access to first floor rooms from rear lot was easy but reduced security. Not a busy hotel / motel.

We arrived after a long day. The manager made us most welcome. Once settled in I asked about nearby restaurants He gave us good information and recommendations which by this stage we were happy to follow The room was spotless. Another manager helped us the following morning with some more local information . We were pressed with their customer service Parking was easy and i parked the car just below our first floor window for greater security. There was an ample breakfast provided on a self service basis including hot food. We were all round impressed and would be happy to return. Full marks for putting the cust

Location is great. Close to take out and grocery stores and also big box stores. 5 min into main street town. Outdoor property is nice and was equipped with picnic tables and bbq and gazebos. Grass area was well maintained as we had our dog with us for the stay. Room and accommodations overall was comfortable and had everything we needed for a cozy 1 night stay. The only thing we noticed was the toilet was a bit wobbly.

The people working at Comfort Inn were helpful and did their best to make my stay comfortable. However, I was uncomfortable with the pile up of dust around the edges of the carpet that should have been vacuumed. The rooms have very dark furniture that make the rooms look dark. They definitely need renovating. The smell of cigarette smoke in this smoke-free inn is unpleasant.

The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a small table under the sink. It was very dirty underneath. There was a horid little hair dryer sitting there I had to clean it with wipes. The wipes were brown with dirt. There was no elevator and our room was on the second floor. We are in our 70's and weren't happy about carrying our luggage upstairs. It is not wheelchair accessible.

The staff was extremely nice, the location was convenient, there was plenty of parking space, and the room was affordable. However, the shower did not drain properly, the pillows were very small and flat, the walls and ceiling were not in great condition, and the AC seemed not to work (it was incredibly hot and we had to go buy a fan).

The rooms were overall fine. It was frustrating to have to book two rooms for our family of 5, with 3 kids under the age of 12. We found trash from other guests under the beds/bedside tables when we were double checking that none of our belongings were being left behind. The sliding doors to outside were either really hard to open or the locks were finicky. The breakfast was decent. There wasn't consistently staff at the desk which was inconvenient for us a few times. It was fine, but not worth how much we had to pay for the family.

when i first checked in there was no one at the counter, a man poked his head out and went and got a lady. I checked in and was put on the second floor which i did not understand as there was not many in the hotel as i could see from the empty parking lot. Shampoo and cream rinse was watered down and not shower soap. TV did not work i had to call front desk for them to fix it. Went to breakfast and there was no food left that was hot. i asked the man there and he said he would refill it but it was to late as i was off to work. Not the friendlies place.

The bed was very comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was substantial (scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, waffles, cereals, etc.) and tasty.
