Iris Hotel Boston

Really nice hotel and was a good price. Only thing I didn’t know was that it is valet parking only. Wasn’t expecting to pay extra for parking when I didn’t know. For what I paid I was hoping for a free breakfest, due to the price of the menu. Dinner options were not good for the kids either. Other than that the hotel itself is really nice

The property was beautiful and the room was spotless and very comfortable. I was only surprised at the fact that the only parking available is valet parking and the charge is $50/ day. Considering it's the only option, why not just add the charge to the room rate and then advertise it as free valet parking! And if a guest doesn't need that service, offer them a "discount" on the room. Just a thought! Regardless, i wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

An updated and comfortable hotel right in Brookline Mass. Great location (short walk to restaurants, shops, coffee bars on Harvard St.). Valet parking is expensive but expected for Boston. We got lucky with street parking. There is a municipal lot a few blocks away. Small but functional bar in lobby. Staff were polite. Would Recommend.

We just returned from our stay. It was wonderful - very clean, convenient amenities (washer and dryer on every floor, kitchen with full size fridge, luxury toiletries), and exceptionally friendly staff (particularly the bar). The only downside I can think of is the weak water pressure. We will definitely be staying again for our future visits in Boston.

This was a last minute booking after our previous arrangements canceled day before. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by smiling, helpful staff and made to feel welcome. Parking was valet only, but the valet was so attentive and immediate it was well worth it. The rooms were clean and well appointed, and house keeping refreshed it daily. In easy walking distance to several food options, as well as the main subway/train line. Kevin and Miguel were so helpful and reassuring, as were all staff changes over our weekend here. Washing machines available in the same floor, and the restaurant staff was also very accommodating. Thank you, Iris Brookline. We highly recommend.

Nice property and rooms. Parking is expensive

Total cleanliness and comfort. Parking easy considering $50 valet (I knew this upfront...ok for boston I suppose but Brighton is smaller neighborhood so wouldn't think as expensive as more central hotels). Very friendly staff. Easy to walk to Beacon St and Harvard St just steps from the hotel with lots of cafes and restaurants. Impeccable bathroom and roomy walk in shower with rain head. Mini kitchen with fridge, nespresso, microwave, stovetop and sink. Stayed one night and was just what we were looking for. Perfect.

Really enjoyed our stay! The room/ bathroom were renovated and looked beautiful. Beds were super comfortable. Loved the Nespresso coffee machine in the room. Great location.

I liked the fridge and stove. Unfortunately the kitchen was not stock with any pots or utensils and they only offered coffee in the room no tea. The hotel's restsurant's menu was limited and they seem to have a dhortage of staff. The check person was not very pleasant unlike the team that checked us in. Their bar's menu stated coffee offerings that were not availale when requested. The overall experience was not bad but they have room for improvement on the service side.

Beautiful new hotel. Loved the Brookline area. Easy to get on the train to head to other areas around Boston. My only complaint is the AC doesn’t truly get the room cool. We set it as low as possible at 67, the thermostat said it was 67 although it didn’t feel that cool.

We stayed for 2 nights. Newer hotel in the area, staff friendly. We were upgraded to a king room. Room was spacious, plenty of room for our 2 years to run around. The room had full couch, desk, table with chairs and a kitchen area, stove, full size fridge and microwave oven. what is lacking were kitchen items. Not sure how one would use a stove without the appropriate tools ( pans & etc), but I'm sure they are working through some kinks.

This is a brand new hotel and I believe it will soon become known as a luxury destination. Our room was spacious and bright and beautiful. The bedding was luxurious and reminded me of the Ritz. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a full refrigerator, freezer and sink in our bedroom (we upgraded the room type we had so I’m not sure that’s standard). Our room also had a Vertuo Nespresso machine. My only complaint is there are motion sensitive lights at the bottom of the bed, presumably to light your way if you get up in the middle of the night, but I found them to be too sensitive. Like if I rolled over and the comforter adjusted as a result, the light would detect the motion and come on. We covered the lights with our towels and that fixed the problem. Other reviewers seemed to love the lights so I think it’s up to the individual person! We got room service one day for breakfast but we saw there was a Trader Joe’s a block away and picked up food for the following mornings.

The Iris Hotel is a lower cost high end hotel, that has good transportation availability to travel to the Museum of Fine Arts and the Freedom Trail. In our case we use Lyft transportation for $15-20 per ride. The rooms were nicely decorated with blue/ purple patterns on the wall, with Lutron dimmable lighting all around the circumference of the ceiling. The bathroom was immaculate with modern gold fixtures. There was a breakfast package which was worthwhile to get as the offerings were varied and exceptional

We enjoyed our stay at the Iris hotel and would definitely consider staying again in the future. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had excellent amenities including a full size refrigerator with separate freezer, microwave, and luxury Italian toiletries. Great location for getting around Boston!

Paper thin walls. Could hear every and anything all night

This a a wonderfully designed, high tech new hotel in the Brookline Neighborhood, right next to the Marriott Courtyard. Their biggest issue is the quality of staff. Their demeanour and skill level at the Front Desk is not at par with the caliber of this hotel. I asked for a simple incidental bill at check out that lists 1 coffee and valet. The Front Desk agent was not able to furnish me with it. I was in a hurry and gave up. We stayed in a room with 2 beds. The room has sensor lighting under the bedframe which in theory is a great idea when you have to get up in the middle of the night. Unfortunatly the sensors went off every time someone moved in the bed which ended up in a restless night. The beds are very comfortable though. The rooms come with beautiful kitchenettes and a high end Nespresso Coffeemaker. However, the hotel decided to provide Motel level packets with a napkin, a stirrer, sugar and creamer instead of a more high end supplement. They should instead offer real milk or at least the little condensed milk packets. It would be nice to have milk in the refrigerator. F&B staff: I waited more than 5 minutes for someone to come out from the back of the house. They had a bell at the hostess stand which I rang 3 times. There were only 3 people in the restaurant, not busy at all. I was met with bewilderment when I asked for a cup of coffee. Staff shouted in Russian all over the lobby.

The hotel and room were beautiful. Very clean, comfortable and smelled nice. There wasn’t much going on in the hotel itself - a tiny little bar top but no additional amenities. The only downside to our stay was the diva at the front desk when we arrived back around 10pm after seeing a concert. We asked if there was a yummy local pizza spot we could order from and the guy said “um, I don’t know. This is a 5 star hotel, not the kind of place guests usually order pizza.” Ohhh ok your highness. Sorry my working class self likes a little late night snack after a night out. Haha. Jeez. Other than that pretentious BS the hotel was lovely and I’d stay there again.

Staff was very good. Other staff were not empowered to make things right. For example, I received a food credit from Expedia. I was planning to have breakfast and it would have taken too long because they were understaffed. I ended up forgoing the credit. With that said the room was fine and clean. The location is a good one.

Hotel is nice, but service is atrocious. No one available to sit people at either dinner or breakfast. No one answered calls from the room no soap or hand wash in the bathroom. Staff seemed extremely inexperienced.

The check in was slow. There was a single person in duty. She had to field phone calls as well as check people in. Not sure how she maintained her cool!

Highly recommend. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly the minute you walk in. Valet driver had a great sense of humor. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Upgraded room was a sweet surprise with a bigger family of 5 adults.

We are extremely disappointed in the Iris Hotel. The staff is not very friendly and the hotel is dated. We booked a junior suite with breakfast. Our reservation included free breakfast. It clearly states free breakfast! However, when we checked in the front desk person told us we had a $56 credit not free breakfast. We showed him that our reservation said free breakfast and he completely dismissed us because we booked through Hotels.com. He was rude & did not try to resolve it in any way. Apparently at the Iris if you book through a 3rd party you are a second class guest. Don't expect any customer service. We knew that a $56 credit would not cover breakfast for two for two days. Sure enough the cheapest entree for breakfast is $14. Drip Coffee is $5. So $38 for one day not including tax. Our daughter lives in Brookline, so we thought this would be a nice place to stay. We were wrong.

The hotel was very nice, but the staff seemed very confused about how to check people in or out. They also had all the keys from valet service piled in a box. I had to help them look for it.

The hotel was beautiful!!! Clean and easy to check in and staff was very nice checking in. My only issue i had was we did breakfast 1 day there and it was not busy and it took a very long time to get breakfast, then when we asked for the nill is when we recieved the kids choclate milk. During check out it was a little messy. We were charged for 2 room service fees when we did not order room.service. they never removed the voucher of 56 dollars from the bill. They did not want to print my husband the invoice so he can see what was being charged to the room. And when he asked he was given the i do not know response. Everything was cleared and we checked out. That would be the only down fall.

This is a winner. No kidding. When we come back to Boston we'll be staying here for sure. Room was big and incredibly modern. Breakfast was remarkable. The area has TONS of charm, convenience, restaurants, etc... Close to the tram/train if you need it. Valet appears pricey...but...you can't find parking in the area so you'll want to use. Enjoy

We stayed at the Iris as part of a couples weekend getaway. Having previously lived in Coolidge Corner we knew that the Iris was in the ideal location for a weekend in Boston.

Great location, just a few minutes’ walk to the T. Classy decor, comfy furnishings, friendly and responsive staff. The in room kitchenette is nice, especially with a Trader Joe’s on the next block. Would definitely stay again.

When I got to the hotel the bathroom didn’t have shower gel, couldn’t do dinner because the restaurant was close. Breakfast was not available either. I had some money from Expedia and I couldn’t use it because the restaurant was closed that night and there was no other ways to spend it. Hotel was nice and good location, walkable distance to local shops.

Our stay at the Iris Hotel was terrific - but our dinner and lunch the next day at Petal, the restaurant in the hotel, was exceptional. The food was delicious, the restaurant itself is cozy and beautifully appointed, and Luciano, the maitre d', and chef Daniel created a delightful, romantic evening for us. We will be back to the hotel and the restaurant both!

Had not heard of this hotel and was unsure what was in store. Wonderful surprise! Great location, very accessible, lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Staff was incredibly helpful. Chef was excellent, food delicious.

Ricotta pancakes were so good. Breakfast options so good

Roomservice took long, they brought the food exposed no cocer forgot the coffee, utensils smelled strong like perfume. Food tAsted horrible french toast was raw. Eggs were salty.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the iris however, on the first night, we tried to dine in the restaurant. We sat for 10 minutes without receiving a menu or water and got up and left.
