A fabulous hotel at a great price. Staff very helpful on reception. Biscuits on bar menu super tasty. Breakfast is stunning and taken on the terrace you can see the sea and the mosques. The selection of food is great, fresh honey, from a honey comb, watermelon, tomatoes, amazing omelette, so much choice I can’t name it all. Try the dried mulberries though really nice. I so enjoyed my stay and would certainly book again if I went back. Only draw back was service slightly slow on an evening in the roof top terrace for drinks but the view is amazing so happy to wait a few minutes longer while soaking up the atmosphere. Close to blue mosque and the train to take you to the port, all most convivial.

Tres bon hotel ,notre chambre avait vue sur la mer et la muraille de Constantinople. Le personnels est tres gentil et efficaces. Il y a un garage interieur gardé ou l on rut meme fzire laver son vehicule. Le point de vue de la terrasse restaurant est superbe.

Nice friendly helpful greeting for two travel weary, jet lagged people made for a more comfortable late night check in. Nice room overlooking the water although silly shower design resulted in all towels getting soaked (tired travellers part of problem) lovely rooftop dinner with friendly waiters and same place for continental breakfast again with views and sun.

The roof top terrace gave amazing views of the sea and the Blue Mosque. Our room also overlooked the sea. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious.

Hotel+/ Zimmer selbst war schön, sauber und die Angestellten sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war gut allerdings hätten wir uns frisches Brot/- Brötchen gewünscht. Das Brot war unserer Meinung vom Vortag aber man konnte es toasten. Aber sonst alles da von Omelette, Obstsalat und vieles andere. Lage des Hotels super. Mitarbeiter sehr nett besonders an der Rezeption super lieb...uns wurde sogar noch extra ein frühes Frühstück bereitet. Alles top...wir würden das Hotel absolut weiter empfehlen.

Me and my friend had a really good stay here. The hotel is really clean and the room was traditional in a really charming way. Has all the facilities and resources expected of a modern hotel. Staff are helpful and the lobby area is nice and spacious. The location is really quiet which is good after having a long day exploring Istanbul. Also a short walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Grocery stores are also nearby but to reach the best areas and places to visit and eat in Istanbul you may have to travel a fair amount. Not as convenient as say Taksim or Galata area. Nonetheless a really good option for a stay in Istanbul, whoever it is you're with.

The hotel was in a perfect area to explore most of the attractions in Istanbul within walking distance. Our room was cozy and clean, but the view out of our window was terrible. Would be nice if they could at least add flowers or something nice to look at when your view is the backside of hotel on lower floor. We asked to be moved to upper floor but said they were fully booked. Make sure you pay for upgraded room so you don't end up with wanting to keep your drapes constantly closed. Front desk were all very nice. Breakfast was very good. Lots of options and beautiful spot to eat inside or out. Would stay again but pay for balcony/better view room.

A boutique hotel. Room was on the small side but well furnished. Restaurant on the roof with an excellent view of the Bosphorus. Good way to start the day. Also nice to have a drink on terrace in the evening. Best thing is the location. About a 10-minute walk to Sultan Ahmet but the hotel itself isn't in a crowded neighborhood.

The Armada Istanbul Old City Hotel was an excellent choice for our first visit to Istanbul. It is within walking distance of many of the major sites to see--the Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, and many hammams. In addition, there are tons of restaurants and cafes nearby. However, this is a very touristy area, with high-pressure hawks inviting you to come into their shop or restaurant, and we found this to be very tiring. It was a good location for our first visit, but if we were coming back, we would choose a hotel in a different area to get a more authentic experience. The hotel itself was wonderful, with a stunning view of the Hagia Sofia from the patio, and excellent service.

People in the hotel, including front desk receptionists, house keepers and its restaurant waiters, are all friendly, nice and accessible. We checked out at 3 am and surprised to find the receptionist and concierge were there. The concierge even accompanied us to the Uber taxi that we reserved earlier. We felt we were protected.

Staff was very friendly and co-operative. Ismail and other staff guided me about nearby attractions, helped me with transportation. I was a solo traveler. They helped make my stay comfortable. Even helped me charge my phone as I didn't have the correct charger for Turkey :). Property was walking distance from all major attractions.

Overall I would rate the hotel as a 3 star not a 4 star hotel. It was very convenient to Istanbul attractions. We walked to the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sofia Mosque in a 15 minute uphill walk. It was entirely safe except for the Turkish rug salesmen around the mosques. The calls for prayer were loud, but this is all over the city. We also walked to the Basilica cistern, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar and Galata Bridge and Tower on easy walks. I feel that the hotels location is its biggest asset. There are a large number of restaurants and nightlife immediately adjacent to the hotel. We had 2 free nights from Turkish Airlines and added 2 additional nights for a total of 4. The breakfast was good and we ate dinner in the hotel restaurant 2 nights. I would definitely stay there again. Istanbul is a lively vibrant city.
