Could be better kept but i understand the complications of fewer travelers and it being near the ocean.

The room was clean and the staff was nice. Nothing in particular to write home about. The balcony door was difficult to open & close. There's something mechanical - what I assume to be the AC unit - enclosed in the bathroom. It was very loud and made sleeping and enjoying the overall atmosphere very difficult. The spa is woefully understaffed. There was only one person working when I was there. I booked massages and facials for me & my partner. My partner's entire reservation had to be canceled because there was only 1 masseuse and my facial was canceled because there was no esthetician. The restaurant was also just OK. Went for breakfast one day and it was alright. Unsure about dinner. They have valet & self-parking options. Self-parking is in an unpaved lot across the street. A little annoying, but manageable. Overall, if you're looking for a no frills hotel and a basic place to just lay your head and store your belongings, this may be the place for you.

The staff was incredibly caring and accommodating. The property could benefit from a bit of refreshing to enhance its charm. The food was simple, but the drinks were undeniably delightful. The room was spotless, and the view was breathtakingly surreal.

Hotel has a beautiful view. The rooms are nice. The bed was not hard, but not over soft either and the pillows were good too. The curtains let in a lot of light and are not room darking, but that just makes it easier to get up and enjoy the day and explore the island although it is tempting to spend the whole day at the hotel. The hotel trys to very upscale, but the hallways make it look like a 2 star hotel. Staff are very nice and friendly. The restaurant is very expensive and didn't eat there because of the prices. There is a resort fee that is not included in the price and you have to pay for parking. Lots of "stray" cats, but since I liked cats I enjoyed them. The cats seemed to be friendly and not overly scared of people, but were not a nuisance. Room had a slight ant problem. House keeping sprayed the ants, but that didn't seem to make a difference. I just kept food in the refrigerator or in a zip lock bag it iwas opened. I did see a sea turtle in the ocean that was in front of the hotel. The hotel also allows guest to borrow snorkels during their stay. I didn't get to use them, but I am thinking snorkeling by the hotel might be nice. It is with in ten minute drive to Walmart and fast food restaurants and walking distance to a nice garden.
