Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Helena North

Our heat didn’t work. It started at 69 degrees set to cool when we arrived around 7:30 pm. When we switched to heat at 71 degrees, the temperature dropped to 67 degrees since it was only blowing cold air. When we called for help, we were put on hold and then forgotten for 10 minutes (there was a football game we were trying not to miss on TV). In which we then had to go down and after communicating the situation, we were told they’d come check on it. 20 minutes later, still nothing and had to return to the desk. Then we were finally sent with a space heater and told someone was coming to look at the valves. 20 minutes he finally came but did not have the keys to open the locked area but the “OTHER” guy did and he would be in the next day at 9 am and come look. 2.5 hours later and nothing fixed and put us to sleep with an early soccer game the next day. No one contacted us before our soccer games nor came and fixed by the time we returned. At that point we just figured we deal with the space heater. It worked but you cant control the temp on it so we’d go from cold room to sweating hot at night. All during a winter storm warning and first snow of the season. No one was at the desk when we checked out to help us when we left and to be reminded that the heat didnt work and no one should be staying there until it was.

The room and amenities were great and the staff were pleasant, welcoming, and friendly. The manager was very helpful too- she was practically everywhere and helping do things like mop, clean, cover the desk, and room service. We have stayed at some Fairfield properties that were lacking the cleanliness and quality you’d expect of Marriott but this facility was not one: this is a nice place to stay with a family. Conveniently located by the highway and super close to the soccer field complex and Costco. Would recommend!

Breakfast was amazing! Best hotel breakfast ever!

Everything about the Hotel was exceptional, if I had one critique to offer it would be for more variety day to day for breakfast. My staff and I were there for 6 days and it was essentially the same breakfast items every day.
