What guests think

At Days Inn by Wyndham Medicine Hat, travellers consistently praise the welcoming, helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms, and family‑friendly pool with waterslide, alongside a convenient location near Highway 1 and many dining and shopping options.

Several reviews note downsides such as a slow or occasionally out‑of‑order elevator, pool or hot‑tub chlorine that feels strong, and noise from hallways, upper floors, or the pool area. Some carpets and furnishings feel dated or show stains, with occasional housekeeping misses, and the breakfast can be crowded or inconsistent (notably eggs or turkey bacon). Overall, expect a friendly, good‑value stop that especially suits families and road‑trippers.

The Days Inn was a great stay for our family. Our kid loved the welcome fresh baked cookie, the pool and waterslide. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Pillows are great. Gym was used - treadmill is high quality, enough variety of weights for a good workout, and tv worked. Breakfast had variety and has nice early hours, opening at 6 am. Area is quiet and safe.

We had stayed the Thursday night prior on the 3rd floor and i would rate that stay at a 4.5. On this stay we had a room on the 1st floor facing the parking lot so leaving the blackout curtains open was not really an option when we were in the room. As a result it was dark all the time. The room was very small and very dated, not at all like the 3rd floor room. The fixtures, paint and carpet were all tired. The lighting didn't do anything for the lack of natural light. Very disappointed.

We had a great quiet stay however the carpets need a serious shampooing job. Lots of stains in the rooms. We had two rooms and both had stains. Bedding duvet also had blood stains which we didn’t notice until the next morning..after sleeping. Showers could use an update. Staff was very friendly. Pool space was clean.

The staff were good but the carpets in our room were heavily stained and the room smelled musty. Breakfast was a bare minimum over cooked eggs fake bacon and greasy potato patties. We stayed in Strathmore a few days earlier at the Travelodge and room rate was lower and breakfast was like at a restaurant. Also it looked like it needed a face lift. Staff were good but doing multiple jobs on the same shift, probably a shortage of competent people to hire.

This hotel was in great shape. The suite room we had allowed us parents to stay up later than the kids. Pool and breakfast were great. My kids discovered the puzzle scavenger hunt on our last day which they were able to complete while we packed up. And the prize they got was fantastic. I haven’t seen this at a hotel before and it was great fun for my 9 year olds.

So we came here for a funeral and I only booked a room for 3 and there ended up being 4 of us. We checked the room out and only had a queen bed with a single sofa bed. I asked Arri at the check-in counter if it was possible to upgrade the room to fit the 4 of us. She went out of her way to find a room that had a double sofa bed to accommodate us. She was great. The only problem I had was the elevator was broken. We had someone that had a hard time with stairs and they put us on the 4th floor, so it was a bit of a challenge getting his luggage up the stairs, but other than that everything was good.

So at kids hockey turnie, the hotel is very fair priced, and the condition was good, but what really impressed me was staff, due to the timing of the games we had a large break, so politely i asked to check-in early, with the understanding i doubt i could get in 3hrs early, but worth a shot, better than wonder the mall or sit at rink. Lucky my room ready and they let us checkin. I was very grateful. Also the breakfast was one of the better hot breakfast's i have had at a hotel lately, which was nice surprise.

We had to tell the front desk 3 times that kids were running up and down the hallway, screaming, laughing, knocking on everyone’s doors, including ours. Right up until midnight! I think staff need to do better. Had this been a business trip and I needed a good nights rest, I would have been livid. Staff didn’t care to say anything!

We were there for a baseball tournment. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a hot breakfast of either suasage, ham or bacon. Eggs were different every morning. Juice was actually juice not water down that hotels usually provide. They have an option of almond milk. And if gluten free they will accomdeate your needs. Boys loved the pool and water slide. Walkable to lots of different options to food places. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable and there was more then enough to room to move around.
