The pool. Wasn’t available and looks as though it has been closed all season. The carpets need a shampooing and other small maintenance work.

this property is less then 1 star, room floor wet, dirty floor, not enough towels, staff rude, not enough lights, limited parking, near a pub which is terrible, over all there is nothing thing good about this property I don't know why it's on Expedia, they charge for extra towel

I showed up after a long day of travel and first noticed that the pool was out of service and looked green and overflowing. In the room the bathroom looked to have mold and had a horrible smell which I assume because of the mold. The sink had food particles stuck in the drain and the tv looked to be out of the 90s with only 20 channels. Some of the staff was friendly but others had loud arguments that sounded somewhat concerning. The only thing good about the property was that there was a pub next door.

Unsafe, dank crack den, mouldy and musty room, quite filthy, damp carpet, more stained area than not, black curtain layers were mildew saturated and the air conditioner hanging in the window was working noisily to swirl the sickly mildew smell, the walls look like something from a horror movie, completely gross. People lying on the ground outside their door, cooking tiny (illegally caught) crabs in a plug in wok. Had to step over one to get to my room. Any good reviews are fake. Staying here is like staying in an alley on East Hastings. I considered lying on the bed, but just as I wouldn’t jump into a pile of dirty socks and heavily used underwear, I couldn’t bring myself to even sit on the bed. The pool had a big tarp over it and is now being used as a mosquito factory, so fun for the whole family! The front desk said they’d refund me as I couldn’t stay in the mould due to allergies, but that was a lie. Hotels.com tried calling them to issue a refund, and the lovely hotels.com person informed me that when they called the highway hotel, and upon identifying that it was Hotels,com calling, the receptionist from the Highway Hotel hung up on her. This after assuring me that I would be getting a refund because I had mould allergies and could not stay there. Then, they would not answer their call. They’ll be hearing from the Better Business Bureau. This hotel may be condemnable.

Fine for a cheap overnight. Neighbors were having more fun than I was. A truck in the parking lot was broken into overnight. I'd stay again though due to price

Noisy toilet, inconvenance of getting to the room ( lots of stairs) no in room coffee, or coffee available in office/lobby, pool out of service (appeared to be shut down for a long time)

The hotel was disgusting, full of mold and should be shut down. When we arrived at the room we noticed how dirty it was and smelled of mold. As we turned on the heater we realized it was completely full of mold and quickly filled the room with a unbearable moldy smell. The beds were dirty and covered in stains, I’m not sure if the room was even cleaned after the last guests. The tv did not work well, and when we got it to turn on it was very blurry. We were unable to use the heat or A/C because of the mold. Could not open the window to let in fresh air as it was taped shut. The hot water was not working. Wallpaper was peeling, over all this has been by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was rude and refused to rectify any of our issues. I highly recomend anyone considering this hotel to STAY AWAY. Very very disappointed in the whole situation, we had to sleep fully clothed and I am disgusted with this hotel and our stay there.

The unit was clean and the bed comfortable, sheets were clean and smells fresh. Shower had lots of hot water and water pressure. Friendly staff, so no complaints. Rob C

The fridge had mold inside. The smoke alarm was hanging out from the wall. The bathroom door had a hole/kick. The wall paper was peeling from the wall. The AC had broken buttons, possibly mold underneath it. Gross dust / spider webs. The shower drainer hair blocker wasn’t clean, a bunch of short hair came out of it. I have long hair. That hair was from previous person. Curtains had stains on them. Wall plugs that looked unsafe. Spray paint on one of the furniture pieces. Headboard was sticky and had hair (wasn’t mine) & dust that wouldn't come off. But on the positive, The Staff were great & friendly, the bed was clean, towels were clean.

The place was filthy, the refrigerator had ice running down the walls inside, sink taps don’t function properly, cobwebs on the walls

Old and dirty rooms

I think this was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Most of it was closed up and looked nothing like the pictures shown on your website. If we could we would have gone somewhere else. I think you should take it down before anyone else books it. It was disgusting

Very bad experience, very dirty room, cupboard was broken, spider cobwebs were not cleaned, facial tissues were not furnished for the first couple of days.

Had booked 2 night stay, checked out after 1 night Lots of issues. Bed had bed bugs, Bedding was stained Flooring carpet was also stained Spides and spider webs in the corners of the room. Shower handle fell off the valve. Interior wall had some obvious shoddy repair. room door had major dents. asked for a refund which was refused

This is very old and dirty motel. Half of the property is closed off, air conditioner was so noisy we had to turn it off. Bathroom fan was very noisy as well. Room smelled bad This property should not be vene listed on Expedia. TV was not working. I think shower was the only thing that was exceptable

Bath tub tap was hard to get the right temp in Room 214 and the bathroom fan very noisy. Basic cable service with no tv guide. Need a streeming service option

There are more aspects of the hotel that I don't like than what I do like as follows: Noisy AC, and that was a "window-type" unit should be a mini-split type with the fan-coil unit located elsewhere (I suggest on the wall opposite from the bed). Noisy bathroom exhaust fan, and what appears to be a missing grille and light diffuser. Outdated and difficult to control bathtub and sink faucets. No desk with chair; the room was too small to accommodate these. Not barrier-free.

The parking was easy, even thought the parking spaces in front of my room were ALL occupied by the “movie/show” that was being filmed. The AC was noisy and worthless. The room was relatively clean, BUT SO DATED!! Needed paint. The door had gaps init to the outside. The sink/counter was at a level for a toddler. And the worst part— NO WIFI!! Front desk said it was because the “movie crew” were using it!! REALLY!! I cannot recommend this place at all.

Quiet and clean. Just poor water pressure and took 20 minutes to even get hot water to flow

Check-in was a breeze. They still use those old magnetic cards for room keys, and I had forgotten how sensitive they are, so I had to get my keys reissued. The room was decent, but the air conditioner wasn’t installed correctly, making it drafty. The beds and bedding were clean, but the fridge was filled with old, moldy food from previous guests. The microwave was in fair condition, but the tap for the sink was loose. The sink itself was damaged, and initially, it looked like blood, but upon closer inspection, it seemed to be the material the sink was made of. The toilet was functional, but it was a bit short. The TV was a bit older, and the reception was poor. The TV remote was almost dead. Due to the draft, there were mold spots around the doorframe. We also noticed that the wood used for the air conditioner was damp. Overall, it felt like a 2-star experience. We won’t be returning.

Overall, it was acceptable for the price and I had a good stay, but the air conditioner was so noisy that it didn't let us sleep at night.

No hot water

Overall, the room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The host called me to see when I was going to arrive so she would be there. On the downside though, I had to move a very large cabinet out from the wall to plug in the TV after trying to diagnose the problem. Very large gap under the door that allows sound to travel. I stuffed towels to seal which helped a little. No coffee maker. Compared to most other motels, very modest accomodation however it is a lttle less expensive than most others as well. Left feeling that the accomodations were ok but not fantastic.

Wifi did not work in the room. you had to be outside for it to work.

The staff opened the door without knocking it. It was so unprofessional.

The staff were all very pleasant that we met and the receptionist went the extra mile in that she printed up a map to show the hotel and the route we should take to the race we were running the next day as our phones did not work in Canada. Very pleasant people. They were also willing for us to check out one hour late as we wanted to shower after the race. Thank you. The hotel is not expensive but the room was pretty good and quiet. Easy walking distance to a lot of different erestuarants and fast food places.

My room wasn’t ready when I checked in, so they gave me a different room. The new room was very clean. I was very satisfied with the room and the service

They took my deposit never gave it back

Upon arriving at the hotel around 10:30 PM, I was informed by the front desk that my reserved room was no longer available and that I had been “upgraded” to two separate rooms. This arrangement was not acceptable, as I was not willing to split up our family. The manager stated that the room I originally booked and paid for was unavailable and offered the option to leave and receive a full refund. Based on this assurance, we left the premises. However, when I later followed up to claim the refund, the manager declined. As our visit was only for one day, I was unable to return to the hotel to resolve the issue in person. Additionally, the condition of the hotel was extremely concerning. Several rooms had broken windows boarded up, and many doorknobs appeared to have been tampered with or replaced with makeshift locks. The overall environment felt unsafe and poorly maintained. Fortunately, I recorded the conversation with the manager in which she clearly stated that a full refund would be issued due to the hotel’s error. I intend to hold the hotel accountable based on this evidence.

It’s cheap, it’s basic and it’s in a pretty good location. It was perfect for an overnight stay. My only complaint? You really have to run the hot water to get it to be hot. Apart from that? I would highly recommend.

Great location

Older property, which explains the economic price, near Highway One (Trans-Canada) yet not traffic noisy. Room was adequate for couples: very near to large multi faceted shopping centres and fitness and artistic facilities.

Nice hotel, easy access to major roads.

Property needs renovations. Homeless people living close to property.

I just was looking for safe, quiet and affordable place to stay For me was more than convenient excellent location between Fraser area (Abbotsford, Langley, Surrey, Coquitlam, Burnaby and Vancouver Allow to drive on those areas easy For my business travel very convenient and excellent price

Underrated hotel in my view for its excellent location, quite park pocket in which it is situated with all the good things just a mere stone's throw away at the same time. Just 5 min from the Trans-Canadian hwy too. Never had complications with checking in or out either

The walls were covered with dirt that could have been blood. There are no coffee pots and no coffee available. The toilet seat was loose. Location I’d decent with pub and liquor store on site. Very disappointing and I would not recommend this hotel and will not stay again

I mean you’re getting a cheap room. The front desk help is terrific, friendly and helpful. There is a convenience store with a minute walk and a ton of food options in walking distance. There is also a small liquor store and a pub right out the front door in the same parking. The service at the pub (not associated with the hotel) is terrible but the food and drinks are alright. Our ac didn’t work and barely any hot water. All in all we got what we paid for.

No electric iron, no cofee maker.Its not a hotal but just a motal. You cant even buy any kind of food. Never going to stay again.

Without breakfast water

We came from a long route to langely. Not satisfied with the service. Firstly, there is only one lamp light that is working fully in the entire room. All other lights are dim. Secondly, iron and dryer are not provided. We thought that these two items are commonly available in hotel. Not only that, bathroom tap and exhaust fans are too noisy. None of the lights are working in the dressing area.

The place was dated to the 70s Peeling wallpaper as well. No offer of breakfast.
