Realizing everything in Vancouver is overpriced, this was chosen while trying to budget. Management is trying hard to get this place renovated and welcoming. But the breakfast situation is lacking. You need to sit on a small waiting bench in the small lobby to eat from a coffee table. Timmies snacks and coffee. Only apples, no juice, yoghurt, eggs etc. maybe the space ruins it the most. I tried looking for the sauna, exercise, dining locations. Going through several doors i eventually found myself in the parking garage trying to go through a door that would not unlock with my card. More features not ready to be advertised as existing i guess. Yes the carpets are old. Funny nobody had repaired the sharp carpet nail sticking through until i asked. Too many cooking things. The new paint and ceilings wont last long once people realize they can cook full grease splattering aromatic meals in the small room without any ventilation. The narrow stairs to the second floor were impassible for someone with a hip problem. Thankfully the pleasant management was quickly willing to change us to the main floor. No elevator. The bed comfort was great but too high for the bad hip person. Brand new TV and good channel selection. Bathroom small but that was the builder’s fault. Good shower and water supply. AC unit worked well but fan was noisy (not defective) in the small room. Management is trying. New paint and furnishings will never make up for the poor structure by the builders eons ago

The hotel gave us the usual soaps for showering and toiletry but toothbrushes are charged and the toothpastes as well. The location of where the hotel is fine, but the hotel itself wasn’t so much great.
