Great location! Breakfast onsite was handy. Cold and fresh-cooked hot options. Easy walking distance to a pub. I contacted the inn directly with some cleanliness problems, which they said they would address. The property is pretty "basic", although there is a small hot tub and sauna in the basement. Good-sized area for people to hang out and watch tv, or some had take-out food. I would stay here again. I don\'t know what the in-season rates are (ski areas are on the outrageous side, as we know), but the pre-season rate was quite reasonable.

Enjoyed my late season short stay here. Nice to have a tuning room with a platform. Close to K-1, closer to Ramshead and Snowshed. Right next to Rivershed restaurant which was nice. Late check in was easy. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. Continental breakfast is what you’d expect. All told, will come back if the price is right.

Mountain Sports Inn is amazing! It has that ski chalet atmosphere that makes you feel cozy the moment you step in. Location is incredible, 8 minutes to the lift at Killington. Lots of food options nearby & ski stores galore! The hot tub is great and easily fits 5 inside. There is even a sauna - though I do recommend you turn on the coal burner in the sauna 15-20 minutes ahead of time before enjoying the hot steamy room. Breakfast was excellent and is prepared fresh to order. Linens beds and pillows were quiet comfy. This is not a 5 star hotel, but when you are simply visiting Killington to ski, Mountain Sports Inn might just be the best value around - and for this reason, I will be recommending it to friends and I plan to book a room here again the next time l come to Killington. Very pleasant experience here.

The room and beds were very clean and comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Nice lounge area. Continental breakfast was okay but could have used a few more selections (muffins, fruit, less sugary cereal choices). Staff were very friendly. Easy and ample onsite parking. Check-in was easy but the check-in information on our confirmation form was needlessly confusing. The confirmation said "To make arrangements for check-in please contact the property at least 24 hours before arrival using the information on the booking confirmation." But there wasn't any information on the booking confirmation - not even a telephone number so we were very concerned that we could not secure our reservation. As it turned out, the reception desk was staffed until 9 p.m. so there was no reason for the confirmation form to say that 24 hours notice to the inn was needed to check in.

You can tell it's an older property that has seen many years of fun-loving adventurers come and go through their doors, but our room was incredibly clean, the bathroom was spotless, and the front desk person was very friendly and welcoming and provided some helpful information on the area.

Fine for the price. Room was clean enough and a lot of space. We did find a hair or two in the bathtub which was not great but the bathroom was otherwise fine. There is no air conditioning if you visit during the summer but they provide fans. A sticking point was one of our room’s windows was located above the employee entrance and every time an employee took a smoke break we could smell it. They offer a modest breakfast options (cereal, bagels, donuts) and the lodging area is nice. Overall not great but not horrible either. Definitely the lowest price in Killington so if you are looking for a bargain this could be it.

I fail to understand how this property has 4 plus stars rating. No lift, the rooms are smelling(dehumidifier helps), cleanliness is questionable. I expected more. May be in mountain town that’s the best one can get. Worst part: you mention at the reception that for whining you will have to pay $5. Mention it on your hotel description as well.

Arrived and there was no sign of anyone. The first room had not been cleaned so we had to be given another one after we notified staff, which they were quick to do. Beds are not queen sized as advertised, only doubles. No air conditioning and even in mid october with a window open (only one since the other didn't have a screen) it was uncomfortably hot until the early morning hours. Rooms weren't necessarily dirty but definitely dusty and dated and the common areas were pretty dirty with dust and spiderwebs.

We were very disaapointed in this facility. The room had tattered lampshades, ragged curtains, scarred furniture, the carpets were very old and smelled, the air in the room was permeated with damp or mildew. We were unable to watch TV or hold a normal converstaion because of the extremely loud air quality machine. This is clearly not a 4/5 establishment. Breakfast only started at 7:30. The only good thing I can say about the room is thta the bathroom seems to have been recently renovated.

The Inn looks like it probably did in the 1970's. There was no air conditioning and no refrigerator. There was a box fan and a window, but the property is directly across the street from the Killington Fire Department, so we heard every call that went out by the sirens. The TV was set to the wrong resolution (and we could not figure out how to change it), so the tops of everyone's heads were cut off as were the sides and the bottoms. The breakfast was a sparse continental breakfast, with cold cereal, some breads (bread, English muffins, bagels), and some fruits (bananas, clementines, apples). We did visit "off season", but the price was twice what it should have been for what we got.

Hotel is in convenient location to Killington peak. Room was clean. Continental breakfast was nice, and the breakfast area was neat. The room I booked was efficiency queen room, it was small and besides the bad there was not even a chair to seat on. Good for one person to crash for one night. Definitely would choose different room type in the future.

Room was spacious and clean. Check in was quick and easy. The room did not have AC so we had to sleep with the fans provided on the night stand or open a window to let the cool air in. The room door had problems locking from inside and outside, they had a note stuck to the door with instructions on how to lock the door. Location was great with alot of coffee shops and restaurants close.

There is no Air Conditioning in the rooms or even in the lobby / common areas. It was 93 degrees outside. Inside felt worse. They give you a ‘box fan’, but all that does is push around the hot air. Not recommended.

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this property. Last year it was ok but short on linens, but a fine basic hotel. This year was the same except where our room was is noisy. We had the fire department running its loudspeakers during the night and more road traffic than expected based on the time of year and location. There also is no Air Conditioning, which made it very warm since we were having a hotter than usual summer.

The room wasn’t what I’d booked but we were so tired, we let it slide. The attendant took a while to answer the bell and we stood around a while, but we let it slide, it was clean, but the pillows and towels were unimpressive. It was a decent place to lay our heads but maybe just a stop for skiers.

We had difficulty finding the place because our GPS was taking us in circles. I called and spoke to the man at the front desk. He gave us better directions to find the hotel and stayed until after his shift was over until we arrived and checked us in.

Nothing fancy here, just an old school VT ski Inn. Staff was nice and the common area was cozy. The best part is that you are a 2 minute walk (stumble?) to The Rivershed restaurant for dinner and beers or the Back Country Cafe for a proper breakfast.
