Love staying at The Mountain Inn. It is close to Killington, is clean, quiet, has nice-sized rooms, easy access and parking. We did not try the pool or gym, but they are there. The restaurant gets a bit crowded but the food is good. The only issue is staying on the 2nd floor we did not see a luggage cart or an elevator for going up or down stairs to different floors with our luggage, so we had to make multiple trips which was inconvenient. Otherwise we like staying there!

The property is really great for families. Super convenient to Killington resort (3-min drive), with an awesome view of the slopes. Awesome outdoor heated pool felt like a sauna, tasty restaurant and distillery. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Only issue was when I was walking out of the back door to my car with my 6 and 8 year old kiddos and housekeeping was smoking a cigarette right where the door opened. The guy did get up immediately and moved out of the way, but the cigarette smoke was thick and my kids and I definitely inhaled it. Other than that one issue, which was probably not a regular thing, I highly recommend the resort and will be booking again.

Came here to ski at Killington resort and had a great time. They have an “on call” shuttle that brings you right to the snowshed lodge, which is very quick and convenient. The bus driver said that they operate everyday during ski season, but the availability varies outside of the winter. There’s also a great heated pool that felt relaxing after a long day of skiing. Also a large locker room for ski equipment that fits all of your ski stuff, including the skis and poles. Also loved having a gym onsite- nothing fancy, but had everything I’d need. I wish there were more “hot” options for breakfast. There were a lot of great pastries, cereals, bagels, etc, but only had hard boiled eggs and oatmeal at the buffet. Regardless, I would definitely stay here again!

This Inn is perfect. The pool is fantastic. The game rooms are fun specially for the kids. Balcony views of the mountain are amazing stargazing at night, fun events at the restaurant. Staff is more than accommodating. I’ve been back twice already this summer and I’m planning another trip at the end of August. Highly recommend.

I stayed here this past weekend with my boyfriend and it was a terrible experience. First the rooms need a deep cleaning; gum wrappers found underneath the bed, dirty toilet, sink and shower, definitely not worth the $758. On Sunday morning we found the car damaged on the left driver side. We went in to speak to the woman at the front desk about the situation and she wasn’t helpful at all. She stated that where we were parked there were no cameras but in fact there’s a camera facing the main entrance of the parking lot where our car was parked, so of course after she says oh well you probably will only see a sliver of the car that hit you. What bothered us the most was the lack of compassion towards the situation, any decent human would’ve at least said “sorry to hear that” but you could tell she didn’t care at all. Never once offered to call the Killington police department for a police report or even offer the number. Will never be staying here again.

The Mountain View was beautiful and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The cleaning crew was ok. Some were better than others. The hotel is worn and it shows in the bathrooms and carpets. The food in the restaurant is decent, plentiful and reasonably priced. The continental breakfast has great and not so great offerings: coffee is hot, strong and plentiful. The orange juice tastes like fresh squeezed. There’s also pastry, fruit, yogurt, cereal and oatmeal as well as boiled eggs. The fruit is tired looking an unappealing. The pastry was awful! It was hard, and tasted stale. So some good, some not so good. This hotel is fairly close to quite a bit. Decent restaurants, the gondola ride up to the top of Killington (don’t miss that!) and Woodstock is about a half hour away. The view was lovely and the staff were top notch! Was a nice stay with only a few minor inconveniences.

I don't want to be too harsh with this review, but I did get the sense of an absentee landlord charging maximum rent. This place is old and needs an update. When you walk in the door, it kinda smells like an old carpet. The room was wanting. The door to the bathroom was a sliding door (very odd) that wouldn't stay closed. You had to throw a washcloth between the door and the wall as you were closing it so that it wouldn't slowly open. The heat/AC was the biggest upgrade needed. As I eventually found out, though it looks like you have an individual unit which services your room, actually, it's controlled centrally and it's either heat or AC (not both) and apparently the thermostatic sensor to turn it on and off is located in the front office area. For us, it was heat only, so at night we opened the window. Then the next day, when we did want heat, it wouldn't turn on until the front desk fiddled with the location of the sensor. Has the owner not heard of a ductless heating/AC system for each room, like every other hotel/motel has? It would have been nice to have a coffee maker or microwave. To be fair, they don't advertise that they have these items. As far as the breakfast, I'm not a big breakfast person, so I mostly just ate the yogurt, but if you do like breakfast, you will find very little to satisfy you here unless you like filling up on hard boiled eggs.

resort nice & clean but the prices at the restaurant and bar were very high for our taste. We had no maid service at all, never made the bed, empty the trash or changed the towels. Dont think we will return.

The best thing about this place is location and the shuttle to the mountain. Onsite restaurant was good as well but with basic food. While there is nothing bad, there is nothing remarkable either to justify the cost. Some things to point out: Rooms were not made for the entire stay. Breakfast was just costco pastries and bagels... Heated pool (while nice) was not quite hot enough given the outdoor temps. (other places much better) ALSO! This one is important - if you dont take your key you cant get back in from the pool even though its fenced in! DANGEROUS! you can freeze to death trying to yell for help....Thank god I took my card and phone! Verdict: Overall a nice place but very overpriced.

We had a really nice time up in Killington. We have been visiting the area for over twenty years and it is our first time staying here. Everyone we encountered was very nice. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The air conditioning was not working quite right as it lingered around 75 in the room but it was all good. We ate on site and the service, food and drinks were all very good too. The free breakfast was a perk with a family keeping meals eaten out down. We would return.

Rooms are clean and recently renovated. Breakfast was wonderful for a continental. Actually enjoyed it way more than full breakfast at other hotels on my trip. My family LOVED the game room, namely pool table. Staff were lovely! Great choice

Love how close it is to base. Quick shuttle ride. Check in was super easy with Kimberly who gave us a tour of the property. We had 2nd floor end room. Rooms are small but very clean and plenty of storage areas. Slider door to the bathroom was tricky. Didn’t stay closed. Outside heated pool was so relaxing after skiing all day. Awesome breakfast. More selection than just “continental” All staff friendly. We loved the distillery on the property. Was there almost every night. Food was awesome! As well as their specialty drinks.

Cute and cozy location. Clean and all employees were very nice. The restaurant/distillery was great. The pool was nice! Walls were very thin which made it hard to sleep. Also temperature was not controllable in the room. The in room unit was not working which also made the temperature a bit uncomfortable at times.

Bring your earplugs! It's an older property nicely renovated in the rustic theme, but the walls are paper-thin and you can hear casual conversations in the halls and the rooms on either side. This is my second or third time staying here despite the noise because the staff is SO FRIENDLY and the location is perfect to get to the Ramshead lift at Killington. The continental breakfast is plentiful and healthy. The Distillery restaurant on site is excellent quality and a great live music vibe. The heated pool is awesome after a day on the slopes. We decided not to ski the second day because it was rainy so we went on a hike 10 minutes away to Pico Peak. Also this place is pet friendly which is why we initially chose this property but we keep going back for all the reasons above. Just pack the earplugs and sound machine.

Staff was extra helpful and friendly. View was ok, didn’t realize the mountain would be obstructed by trees for most of the rooms with a balcony. I will not opt for this next time.

Awesome staff but no hand holds in shower which was very slippery. No microwave or coffee machine in rooms. No lights where luggage is. Unable to see your clothes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were there during the shoulder season, so although it was warm out, the system had not been changed from heat to A/C. That was a problem because my husband didn't want to open the windows due to allergies. HOWEVER, the lovely person at the desk volunteered to bring us a fan and set it up. It made everything just fine. REALLY appreciated the friendliness of everyone working there and we enjoyed the surroundings very much.

The only complaint I have about the place was that the pillows were terrible and it wasn't just me everyone in our group thought The pillows were terrible and I heard people in the breakfast room also saying the pillows were terrible oh one other thing I had a room on the third floor and there was no elevator it kind of sucked carrying all my luggage up three flights of stairs

Overall the staff and property were fantastic. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. The lobby staff didn’t mention and I didn’t see an elevator. I watched several people haul their bags up the stairs. Our room was only 2nd floor so it wasn’t a huge deal. Pretty mountain view from restaurant upstairs and food was good. We also enjoyed the bar and game and room. The only negative is the room got really stuffy as the weather transitioned. The room a/c only blew hot air. We opened the window and the lobby staff also gave us a fan but the room remained warm. There weren’t many plug ins either so we had to maneuver it in the bathroom. Complementary breakfast was okay.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Inn in Killington, VT. Upon our arrival we were given a tour of the hotel and its amenities. We visited the hotel’s bar/distillery and used its pool. The drinks were high quality and the pool was relaxing and kept warm all day. The rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable! The outside patio area provided a beautiful backdrop for us to enjoy the continental breakfast. The staff were warm, friendly, and accommodating. We will certainly stay here again on our next trip to Vermont.

I booked a three night stay last minute, unfortunately because of flight delays I did not arrive until 6 AM. The staff proactively contacted me around 11 o’clock stating that there would be no one at the front desk but there be a number there for me to call once I arrive to complete the check-in process. We stayed in a two queen room, beds were very comfortable, and Rheum had extras like mini fridge, safe and shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Continental breakfast was excellent! Shuttle service was prompt and took less than five minutes from loading up skis to being dropped off approximately 100 yards from the snow shed lift. Staff was beyond accommodating,“hot pool” was a nice touch after a long day of skiing. I will definitely come back!

We loved our stay. The staff were all super nice-Matt was wonderful! The rooms were nice; everything was clean. We loved the restaurant, cocktails, and the live music. The proximity to the town of Killington, as well as to hiking were big pluses. We can't wait to come back.

I know this hotel is a bit old however, cleanliness should be priority number one for all hotels. The food served at the distillery is exceptional. However, our waitress was very rude when I asked her for a glass of ice, she replied excuse me I only have two hands mind you we were the only customer’ at the restaurant.

The location is great and the hotel provides a shuttle to the lifts, which are less than a 5 minute shuttle ride away. After we checked out on our last day, we then skied all day and returned to the hotel. The manager provided us with access a special room where we could take a shower and get changed before traveling. This was above and beyond our expectations, and made for a much more comfortable trip after skiing!

We stayed at this property for one night while passing through on our way to Maine, and it certainly met our needs. The real highlight, however, was the exceptionally accommodating and friendly staff. From the gentleman at check-in who kindly offered to help with our bags, to the warm and knowledgeable woman who gave us great suggestions for local stop, and even some for our return trip to Ohio, the service exceeded our expectations. Their helpfulness made a simple overnight stay feel welcoming and personal. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We travel to Killington often and now that we know about The Mountain Inn, it will be our accommodation of choice. First and foremost, all staff members were friendly and warm which made the experience especially pleasant. The room was comfortable and clean and we appreciate the sustainable soap and shampoo setup. Continental breakast buffet had a wide range of delicious and filling options to prepare for a day on the slopes. We loved the restaurant because great food was available without having to venture out, try the veggie lasagna (so good my husband had it twice). The cream cheese-stuffed churros with ice cream were pretty awesome as well! Can’t forget to mention the heated outdoor pool, such a fun experience to swim under snowfall and we even made some new ski friends hanging out there. Last, but not least, special props to JP for amazing hospitality and flexibility!

Great location for Killington, with one parking lot across the street you could practically walk to the lift. Outdoor heated pool was awesome and stuff super friendly. As far as eco friendliness, I believe every hotel these days should have some type of EV charging available. If nothing else, a power outlet helps a little. Why not? It's a very inexpensive addition. If you are looking for the authentic Vermont Inn experience, this is more like a traditional hotel, but a very good one.

The Mountain View was beautiful and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The cleaning crew was ok. Some were better than others. The hotel is worn and it shows in the bathrooms and carpets. The food in the restaurant is decent, plentiful and reasonably priced. The continental breakfast has great and not so great offerings: coffee is hot, strong and plentiful. The orange juice tastes like fresh squeezed. There’s also pastry, fruit, yogurt, cereal and oatmeal as well as boiled eggs. The fruit is tired looking an unappealing. The pastry was awful! It was hard, and tasted stale. So some good, some not so good. This hotel is fairly close to quite a bit. Decent restaurants, the gondola ride up to the top of Killington (don’t miss that!) and Woodstock is about a half hour away. The view was lovely and the staff were top notch! Was a nice stay with only a few minor inconveniences.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. We were disappointed in the fact that both their restaurant and bar were closed for cleaning which we didn’t find out until we received a welcome text as we were driving to them. That was one of the reasons we stayed there cause we had heard good things about both.

Great place to stay, especially during the week when prices are reasonable. 1/2 star off for not honoring request for 2nd floor room even though plenty of rooms were available (first floor is below ground and much colder). Another 1/2 point off for the continental breakfast. It's great if your there when they open it, but they leave the muffins, bagels and bread out in open air so they are dry and stale tasting after about 1 hour of opening. Restaurant is very good. Cozy atmosphere.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location near the mountain was absolutely perfect—just what I was looking for to enjoy my trip. The free continental breakfast exceeded my expectations with a great variety of delicious options to start the day. The shuttle service was incredibly convenient, making it easy to get around without any hassle. Overall, everything about my stay was wonderful, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return again. Highly recommend!

The room was small and there was no coffee maker. It was off season and there was a lot of construction going on. My family rented a studio next door and that building was full on a construction site. We went to pick up the kids and the crane & workers were literally working outside their condo. Unacceptable! The restaurant was comfortable, service was inexperienced but the specialty cocktail was great! The food was less than impressive and was very expensive. Maybe it’s a better experience in the season, although, it was a very busy place for off season

We loved this hotel. We were here in the summer, so we enjoyed the outdoor seating and the outdoor heated pool, plus very close distance to Killington Adventure Center (could have walked but we chose to drive). The game room was great for our teenagers, with a full pool table and board games. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgable of the area, and gave suggestions for nearby restauarants and hikes. The upstairs has a large indoor lounge area to relax outside your hotel room with friends, which I can see being awesome after a day of skiing.

Definitely our new go-to! Maura and crew were really great! A quick tour at check in of the facilities which was so nice. Storage for bikes and skis (in winter) is all really spacious and secure. Nice pool even though we didn’t get to use it this time. Connecting distillery is great and staff is wicked fun there. Mix it with a great time all around at the Beast for biking bands and brews and all good! Will be back.
