What guests think

Travelers describe Budget Inn Clearfield PA as a basic, budget-friendly stopover with clean rooms for the price, though the property and furnishings are dated and occasional odors or maintenance issues are noticeable.

Guests frequently mention quick, hassle-free check-ins and generally polite staff, though a few report rude interactions. Rooms tend to be small but beds are comfortable; some stays are quiet while thin walls or noisy neighbors can intrude, and Wi‑Fi and TV options vary. There is typically no on-site breakfast or in-room coffee, but an unaffiliated restaurant next door is convenient. Overall, expect a simple, no-frills stay focused on price and a night's rest.

Not fancy, but everything seemed to be clean and in working order. Helpful to have the fridge/freezer/microwave. Restaurant (unaffiliated, I think) next door was convenient for breakfast--good price and food was good. Hotel was close to shopping that we needed for our trip the next day. I'd stay there again if in the area.

The hallway smelled of urine and there was garbage bags lining the hallway at midnight. The entire room was outdated, not maintained well, and looked like it was being masked with a fresh coat of paint. The carpet was old and dirty and the room smelled musty - we had to spray air freshener for the short time we were there. There was no drain in the bathroom sink and the grout in the shower was dirty or disintegrating. The water in the shower fluctuated between hot and cold consistently. We only needed a place to sleep for about 7 hours and would never book here again if needed.

Hotel was very outdated. Said free breakfast which was non existent. Had to give a $20 deposit for key which i had to ask for it to be returned. They want you to drop your key in the drop box in the office in hopes youll forget about the deposit. Towels were rough and dingy looking. No cups or tissues in your. No bag for ice container unless you asked for. This hotel is a one star at best.

Outdated room that was fine for my quick overnight. The Wi-Fi was good, but the TV had 4-5 channels - none that were good stations to watch. The furniture was all dated, but bed was comfortable (for me, the best part of my stay).

A fine two-star hotel, with limitations consistent with what you'd expect from lower level lodging, such as thin walls. But if price is your primary driver, you'll get a basic clean room and reasonable night's sleep.

Everything was great and as expected at this price point. No it’s not a Hyatt or some resort so don't get your hopes up. It was clean and warm only had a slight odd smell; we couldn’t put are finger on what it was exactly.

Ownerswere very rude. Worker was nasty. Accuse you of smoking in the room just because of smoke smell on your clothes. Worker will scream profanities at you. People on drugs everywhere. Pipeline workers blaring music constantly and grilling with open flames in front of the rooms. Feet were instantly black from walking across the floor right out of the shower. They accuse you of possibly having bed bugs if they saw you stayed at the motel next door.
