The rooms were very apartment-esq, which was nice (right down to a full desktop and printer), and it was easy to climate control the space. The staff were excellent and friendly. Having laundry and breakfast be complementary was a nice addition; I wouldn't say breakfast was incredible, but I've certainly had worse.

It's a great spot, especially if you're staying for a prolonged period of time. We had a suite that ended up being upgraded to a full suite, including a full kitchen, desk top, dining room table and 2 couches. The room was clean and the staff were polite and friendly. The gym was decent and included other great free amenities such as: free breakfast (7-10am) and laundry! The parking is not included so bear that in mind and check the signage in the elevator. ***10$ off your stay if you tell the staff ahead of time that you will not be using room service.*** Plenty of landmarks and restaurants in easy walking distance

We had the executive room with king bed and pullout couch. Room was massive and had all you could need for your stay, including a computer and kitchenette. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The location is perfect and they have outdoor and indoor parking (for a fee). The room is well worth the cost. The only thing missing was the upgrade on decor - it feels very 90’s. I also found the layout of the hotel to be very non-intuitive.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The only thing I would improve is the hallways, as they were often cluttered with carts, which took away a bit from the otherwise tidy atmosphere. Other than that, everything was great and I would definitely consider staying here again.

The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast had great variety and hit the spot before we headed out skating on the canal. They even had snacks bags with a water bottle to take to go. We highly recommend this hotel. It is an easy walk to the Rideau Canal and Parliamet buildings. It was very secure.

We loved our stay, this is the biggest room we ever stayed at. Huge balcony also ! It’s literally an apartment! Right next to a bar, pool room and all the restaurants. The bad thing was the carpet, it was filthy, stained, or sticky pretty much everywhere . (Room 508) We had to wear socks or shoes the entire time. I do recommend this place though, for the size of it and the quietness. Will definitely stay there again.

A very conveniently located hotel for walking to the city centre. Rooms are a bit tired but beds are comfortable, showers strong and having a kitchenette was great. Nit all rooms have balconies. The complimentary breakfast has a lot of variety and there is something for all diets. Front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. Only one thing needs to be mentioned and that was the missing evacuation plan that is required on all hotel room doors. We had a fire evacuation and there were many confused people. The hotel needs to review their fire evacuation plan and ensure all staff are aware of it. We stood outside for >30 mins, in negative degree temperatures with no advice or concern by staff. We will stay at this hotel again, as I’m sure this is going to be addressed.

The Business Inn was in a great location and the suite we were assigned was spacious with a balcony overlooking Minto Park. Noise at night from the busy street below was easily blocked by the double balcony doors. Breakfast options were varied enough we could all find something with gluten free items listed clearly. Great access to Centretown and all the different restaurants and shops. The cons- water pressure was terrible in the shower offering a trickle rather full shower, and temp controls not working well - either cold or scalding. Breakfast room was small and crowded but staff were very helpful. We took our food to our room which worked well. Windows on balcony and in bedroom could be cleaner. Despite these minor hiccups it was a great place to stay and we will definitely be back. Easy walking along the Rideau canal made it possible to walk downtown or to Carleton University.

Was the worse experience ever. I will never ever book with Business inn. Customer service agent was very condescending and aggressive. They called me on my phone to harass me. I was sick with a flu so I couldn’t make it to the hotel. I called them to cancel my booking. Customer service agent was very rude. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. You will regret it.

The service itself is good but We wanted to extend for 1 more night. And trying to see if there might be an option for a discount as a customer who wishes to pay more. And was really surprised with a hotel representative stating that “this is Canada” with bad attitude as if foreigners can’t have rights to express their opinions. Stated by the only one guy who was at receptions others were ladies happened on 22nd November 2025 around 10:30 Am. I straight checked out and got another good hotel with $45 lower.

We found the hotel extremely convenient to access restaurants which were walkable on Elgin Street and could easily walk to downtown and the parliament buildings. It was also easily accessible for The Glebe. The room was very spacious and clean and we loved our stay there. Breakfasts were very good however we were disappointed that all cutlery, cups and plates were disposible which is very environmentally unfriendly. There were no recyling bins. This was our only criticism.

The Business Inn is in a great location. Right off Elgin Street with access to lots of great food and drink options. Also not too far of a walk to the Parliament buildings, multiple museums, various attractions, and the canal. Rooms are starting to show their age but nice and quiet. The included breakfast is excellent with many cold and hot options for guests. Great way to fuel up before you start your day.

We've been to Ottawa many times but this was our first time staying at The Business Inn. It was quite chaotic and busy since it was between Christmas and New Year's. We loved the location, and our spacious and clean room. The room was well-stocked with paper towels, toilet paper and tissues for the mess of snow and salt! The breakfast selection was the only thing lacking and most guests had to bring the food back to their rooms since there was not nearly enough space in the cafeteria.
