Stop over hotel en route to Jasper. Room was v decent size with fridge & microwave & coffee maker. Parking is free and easy. Breakfast included, it was a bit basic & small breakfast room but it does the job to start the day. Swim pool looked green and hot tub was broken, area for either wasn’t great anyway. It’s easy to walk 2 min across the road to Original Joe’s decent restaurant/diner for burgers/salads/handhelds & a beer for dinner. Also by a drugstore Rexalls and shopping mall. Only negative is it’s by a fuel station and the rooms need new double glazed windows to block noise of traffic which light sleepers will notice, others may not. Staff really friendly. Kamloops itself is an odd place with nothing really to see, not worth driving to the “centre”, it’s like one big low rise area of motels & hotels all for stop overs for trips to the Rockies. It just “does the job” comfortably as an en route place to stop, eat dinner nearby and leave for the Rockies the next day.

This hotel gave me the ebee jeebies. The whole vibe of this hotel was a rent by the hour type of hotel. Nothing was very clean, the tub was disgusting and the continental breakfast was gross. we had a couple bites and left to go out for breakfast. Im glad we only there for an overnight trip but I definitely wont be going back. The staff was friendly, thats about the only thing it had going for it.

The hotel feels tired, and it felt overpriced for quality. The last guest's towel and soap bar was left in the washroom/shower. Optional rubber shower mat is dingy and old. The guest floor above creaks. Although the temp is adjustable, couldn't adjust above 68°. Baseball tournament on that weekend so lot's of kids running and playing in the hallways until 11pm. Dog across the hallway whimpering constantly until 4am (that's really on the owner, but the hotel is pet friendly). Bedroom door doesn't seal fully, therefore light and sound leak. Overall just not a great experience, especially for the cost.
