Parking to check in was a nightmare, no place to park to bring luggage in and give keys to valet. Went to the lounge for a bevy and an appetizer before our event...wine was very low end and the kettle cooked chips and dip was seriously simply out of a Lays bag, as confirmed by the server.

It was difficult to find a parking space as all the spaces in front of the hotel were taken (apparently you are allowed to stop to unload, just behind the hotel). The actual parking lot is then in Varscona Parkade (Lot #327) where, according to reviews, cars are regularly broken into. I had no problems there and am also satisfied with the rest. Breakfast is really good but having to sign for it every time is annoying. Great room service.

Parking is not easy. You have to drive to the parkade which is 2 lights away. You have to walk outside for approx 5 minutes to get back to the hotel. I'm just glad it wasn't raining.

No parking spaces near/front of the hotel. The bed was low. There’s a bar across the street so there was screaming and loud talking of patrons. No restaurant on site just a lounge with very limited food choices i.e. appetizers. You need to go off site to eat or order UberEats, etc. Breakfast was pretty good and we liked it. This hotel is just OK. Not worth 4 star rating (not sure how they even got it).

The rooms were not in great condition, poorly cleaned. Came in expecting a 4 star stay and it felt more like a 2 star. Paid nearly 300$ for a premium room with a spa bathroom and I'm convinced the "spa" aspect is that the shower had side jets that barely worked due to poor water pressure.

Great hotel nice room airconditioning needs a update as room was so hot! Spoke to the front desk and nothing was done . Room was a lovely 32 degrees celsius. Great staff that provide wonderful services including valet parking, complimentary breakfast and a clean well maintained hotel. The little things can mean the most, from the provided water bottles and ear plugs in the room to the thank you cookies left in our car by the valet on check out! The location is also a plus with great restaurants and shopping all in walking distance.

Lots of noise from the street and nearby bars and restaurants in the late night. The hotel provides earplugs but they don’t drown out all the noise. Everytime except once the valet was great, but when we needed it to get to the wedding we were attending, they messed up and didn’t have the car ready. However the manager jumped in and went herself to get our car from the lot (there is not parking at the hotel itself) and we did get to the wedding just in the knock of time, so kudos to the manager for taking charge of the situation for us.

Location is good. Close to University and restaurants. Service at hotel is lacking. Was promised valet parking at check-in. Was then asked to give 45 minutes notice to get car back but 45 minutes later was handed the keys and given directions into a dark back alley a block and a half away at night to retrieve the car myself. Was an unnerving experience given the activities taking place in the alley. I would not recommend using valet, go find a safe place to park your car and pay the extra fee. Condition of property is poor, for example the shower would not drain and backed up into the bathroom as soon as the water was turned on.

My daughter left her stuffed animal in the room in the bed. I called the same day I checked out to ask if they could check for the stuffed animal. I was told they would call me back. I proceeded to call 2 more times the following day and got the same response. We then went to the hotel early morning the following day before heading to the airport to leave the province. They were not helpful, it didn’t seem like they even knew what I was talking about even though I had called 3x in the past 2 days. I asked that they call the company where they send linens for laundry. They called and said the company said they didn’t have it. I knew that there was no other place it could be. I asked for the number of the linen Landry company. When I called they said they had it in their lost and found. If Metterra has just checked the linens the first day I called, which was only a few hours after I checked out, this would have all been avoided

A great property in terms of location, well maintained, friendly staff BUT the complimentary (compulsory) valet parking was a total pain! Waiting 45 minutes minimum to get your car is not okay. When we're on vacation a big part of the enjoyment is being spontaneous but their VERY SLOW valet service made that impossible. I WOULD NOT stay there again because of this.

Lovely property, exceptionally kind staff, and location is right on Whyte ave, so great dining and shopping. However, location is right on Whyte Ave, so it’s not great if you are a light sleeper. While the hotel itself was very quiet, the street noise from the thumping dance clubs across the street, revellers, and sirens were ALOT. It was good of them to provide earplugs.

The breakfast was ok. The eggs were kind of wet. I liked that they had cottage cheese because I try to eat more protein. The fruit looked horrible unfortunately and the bagels were stale. So it was healthy but also unappealing in ways? Bacon was actually cooked though, great for hotel breakfast. The balcony view was fine for me. It didn't look at anything special, just roofs, but I appreciated it so I didn't have anyone staring in.
