Villa Inn Anaheim Hotel Accommodation

What guests think

At Villa Inn Anaheim, reviews are sharply divided: many report dirty rooms, strong odors, hard beds, and maintenance problems, while others cite low prices, occasional cleanliness, and friendly staff, with strict cash deposits and a sketchy area shaping stays.

Cleanliness complaints about stained linens, hair in bathrooms, and lingering smoke smells appear frequently, though a minority describe rooms as clean. Rooms are basic and dated, with very firm mattresses, inconsistent A/C or heat, and occasional noise from other guests. Service varies, and several guests describe rigid rules at check-in. Expect a no-frills budget stay with widely varying experiences.

Didn’t give the Wi-Fi password and environment is too dangerous to walk out alone and go down stairs in the night and ask for password.

The room we had was filthy, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, shower was dirty. The guy that checks you in wants you leave a deposit of 150 dollars to borrow the remote and use the key for your door. This place is a joke.

The owner of the motel learned I was dissatisfied with the last room I was in previously, so he made sure my current room had everything I needed and was up to par. I was very pleased. They also have the FASTEST WiFi speeds for the price range. Will come back again soon!

Room was clean and had the basics-comfy bed, microwave & refrigerator. I recommend to bring your shampoo & body wash. You will need to bring cash for incidentals, then you will be given the TV remote. I was not told the Wifi, but it was on a post it on the window

No clean bath towels available. The chairs were ripped and stained. The walls and doors had unidentified stains. The staff was nice enough to give me free early check in. I left a few items behind and let me grab what i needed on multiple occasions. Parking was easier than looking for a spot at a grocery store, almost as if i had my own designated spot. I liked the microwave and fridge available. Didn't like the fact the tv only had cable and not Netflix or any other streaming services available for me to login to.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, the bedding was completely unacceptable. The pillows and blankets had visible stains, and the entire bed had a terrible odor. It was clear that the linens were not properly cleaned or replaced. The bed itself had a ton of holes, like someone burnt cigarettes on it. This made for an extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant stay. Cleanliness should be a top priority, especially in hospitality, but this hotel clearly falls short. We ended up buying pillows and throw blankets from Ross. No one came to service the room or change towels and toiletries during our stay. The room reeked of cigarettes and marijuana due to the huge gap between the door and frame. The renter next to us had a jar outside his door in which he used every 20 minutes throughout the night to smoke. When leaving for the day we were greeted by him smoking in front of his door, with a sign on the door stating a non-smoking room. The air conditioning unit was filthy and did not function unless you put it to 61 degrees and it was so loud when turning on and off throughout the night that it startled us. There was missing light bulbs and the table was broken and could not be used. The shower curtain had blood stains on it and the towels were all stained. I do not recommend staying here unless they seriously improve their housekeeping standards. Had we not traveled 8 hours and checked in late, maybe could of handle this differently.

For the area, I guess you can't control the guest from being loud. Plus it's next to an amusement park. The towels could have been bigger. The price was decent due to the fact, you were not going to stay there and sit in your room. You will be out and about right.

Desperately in need of some TLC. The heater did not work, the bedding was threadbare and the pillows were flat and offered no comfort. The sink had no hot water. The door did not seal shut. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy and everything smelled like weed. Everything is done through a window as you stand outside in the parking lot.

Very strict with rules and was almost being chastised at check-inalthough i had done nothing wrong. I decided to leave a couple of hours later and recieved zero refund.

Location looks sketchy. Checked and checked out after 15 minutes. Got weird vibes as soon as we tried checking in. Was handed a paper card to fill out with my information and sign that there would be no refunds whatsoever, then asked to give a $20 cash deposit. When I asked about it they said normally it’s $60 but I did not have any cash and paid in full online. He said it’s on website and I showed him I booked through Expedia and it was not on there or on my receipt. After we go to the room and it is disgusting, hair on the toilet and sink, dust and hair all over the floors. The bed looked disgusting and had burn holes over it which were more than likely from cigarettes, nasty white stains on it. The table had carved names on it and the chairs were cracked on the seats. The ac would turn off after 2 minutes and had to keep trying to be turned on. I didn’t even wanna argue about getting a refund since I had just signed that card (which I’ve never done anywhere else before, almost like they know most people will leave) and I just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. Doesn’t even deserve the 1 star.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE REVIEWS. My husband and I were planning on staying only 1 night at the hotel, for a place to sleep only, then wake up early in the morning to our next destination. When we arrived, we immediately had an icky feeling, and knew right away something was weird when we saw active prostitutes staying below us. We went up to our room and it looked like someone raided through it because the drawers didn’t stay closed on the dresser, and were wide open. We asked for a Non smoking room, and there were definitely signs of smoking. You can hear everything around you. We couldn’t even sit on the bed because of how unclean everything looked and felt. After 20 min of being there we immediately went to a different hotel because of how unsafe and unclean we felt. Expedia was amazing at getting us a refund after explaining the situation!!
