What guests think

At Grand Bohemian Charlotte, Autograph Collection, travelers praise the artistic decor, friendly staff, and central Uptown location, while noting recurring downsides like late-night street noise, pricey or slow valet, and occasional service or housekeeping lapses.

Rooms are stylish and comfortable with good views, though some are small, terrace-level spaces may lack usable outdoor access, and a few guests reported AC, Wi-Fi, or bathroom-lighting quirks. Amenities draw strong feedback: many enjoy the spa, rooftop venue, and Mico restaurant, though access can be limited by events and bar hours or service can be inconsistent. Expect an upscale, art-forward stay in a lively downtown setting, with possible nighttime noise and higher parking costs.

The Grand Bohemian was a beautiful hotel. My husband and I were welcomed and taken very well care of. Would definitely stay again! The spa, Starbucks and rooftop bar made our experience extravagant! 10/10 would recommend!

WOW!! This was the most beautiful hotel that I have ever stayed and that says a lot since I am an Interior designer! The staff was amazing from check in and beyond.. We also ate at Micos for an amazing meal then headed upstairs for more cocktails at roof top bar. We would recommend staying at this hotel for sure!! A piece of advice if you self park do it across the street a whole lot cheaper.

We selected a room online that said terrace. To us, terrace met overlooking an area. We certainly were. Terrace meant an open private party area was outside our room. We had arrived in town after a long travel. We got in our room and found a party of 75 people literally outside our window. We weren't overlooking, we were next to! We could have opened our window and touched the saxaphone player and disc jockey. It was super loud. The staff told us not to worry, they party would be over by 8:30. That was told to us at 3:30. So much for relaxing in our room. We requested a room change or reduction in price on our room. Neither happened. We got no rest, trudged to what was supposed to be a nice evening, and went home early to hopefully get some rest. We were excited that there was a rooftop bar. The bar was open very limited hours. The bar on the main floor was nice, but the prices were very high. We are not naive to hotel bar pricing, but this was high. The beer selection was quite small. I would recommend another hotel in the are with a smaller price tag. The Grand Bohemian was not so grand.

The property was very nice. All areas were very clean and well kept. The staff was great. The only concern was our room had a slight odor, possibly from a bathroom drain. We just purchased an air freshner to help. I informed the front desk at check out. It wasn't a huge deal.

The absolute nastiest place I ever stayed at on top of the rudeness from the staff. The only people working there that was polite and outgoing, and making thing happen was the valet. We first checked in and there is hair in the sinks with toothpaste and hair in the bathtubs and dirty and hairs around toilet and around cracks of baseboards and spiderwebs and cobwebs in ceiling and around door and window frames on top of they tried to overcharge me hidden fees and overcharge for everything there would not recommend to go there whatsoever. You’re better off getting a motel eight.

Drinks on the roof were not good, and we had several different attempts with drinks from each bartender... All fails. Like 1 would be good and then the next same order would be bad. Food was pretty good. Stayed there and rooms had noise from neighbors and the terrace room makes no sense cause it's labeled like an upgrade but you see only a tent that on a "terrace". I recommend trying Park hotel, and it has a famous rooftop bar and a pretty restaurant etc.

I gave average ratings because I’ve been to much better but way worse. Our room was clean and tidy except the dark makeup on the comforter. Pillows were very firm but my husband likes that - not me. I’m used to the front desk pointing out the amenities and where things are located and that wasn’t done. I chose this hotel for the terrace and was told at check in it was closed - disappointing. It took an hour to get connected to their WiFi and being told internet might be out during our stay. It wasn’t but was very tedious to connect. Wishing they had snacks and drinks available for purchase on site. Overall staff was nice and cleanliness met expectations.

Property is in a great location for being able to walk around uptown Charlotte. It's close to a lot of Charlotte attractions. Overnight parking is expensive, bur they dont try to hide it, they are upfront about it. Worst part of the trip was spending the day out and about in Charlotte only to come back to our room at 8pm to discover that housekeeping forgot to clean our room. Called desk and then we had to vacate the room for another hour while that got done. I have had far better experiences and ewually, if not lower, priced locations in the same vicinity.

My room was not ready at 4 which is check in. We had an event to attend and were on a time schedule. We didn’t get into our room until 450 and were late to our event because we still had to get dressed. The lobby was packed of people in the same situation. I also was not given the king room I reserved. I was given a queen room that had a door to the next room. I could hear everything that was going on in there. It was an awful stay.
