What guests think

Quality Inn & Suites Airport draws many travelers for its handy shuttle and proximity to CLT, with frequent comments about good value, while others note dated features, exterior-entry layout, and noticeable noise from nearby highways and flights.

Feedback on staff is mixed, ranging from welcoming and efficient front desk and shuttle teams to reports of brusque service and slow problem resolution. Cleanliness varies, with many tidy rooms but recurring mentions of dirty floors, odors or smoke, and occasional bugs. Free continental breakfast earns both praise and criticism for limited hot items, and some guests were uneasy about the surrounding area at night. Expect a simple, no-frills stopover near the airport.

Everything you need for a lay over. Shuttle was prompt and courteous as was the front desk. Rooms were clean and had all the needed amenities including bath towels, coffee and soap. Situated right next to a beautiful Cracker Barrel. Breakfast had plenty of options except meat.

It was good for a night's stay. I liked that Cracker Barrel was in walking distance in case you miss the early breakfast at the hotel, which is from 6-9 AM. Because of that, I chose to sleep in. Other than that, the price was good and I saw that there's a nice, clean pool.

Nice and quiet good value. Elevators and stairs outside could use an upgrade. No complaints though. Morning attendant fussed at me for leaving a coffee cup on the table when I left.

About ten minutes from the airport. The shuttle service runs every thirty minutes; however, you have to schedule it in advance. We had to take an Uber since the shuttle was full at the time we needed to leave. There was also a large group heading to the airport. The rooms were tidy, had a microwave and mini refrigerator. Very convenient and good for the cost.

SCARY! There were hookers around the corner from the lobby when I checked in, I heard yelling all night, and I woke up with a cockroach next to my bed. I stayed because of the positive reviews but I don’t know where those happy people stayed! I will say the guys at the front desk were friendly.

Not a good choice, not clean, stains on the walls, floors with cracks and visibly not swept or mopped, hair/hairballs in the shower, stains on comforter, smells really funny and can hear everything outside (thin walls). As for breakfast there was rotten fruit (seriously a brown squishy apple and black spotted orange, only two pieces of fruit), the bread was crusty. One employee was sitting barefoot drinking in the lobby. Was also in a pretty ghetto area so make sure to avoid this place next time!

The walls seemed like paper thin. I could hear the connecting room next to us too clearly. People walking outside sounded like they were inside our room. 5 gun shots went off around 2am. The tub was disgusting. My husband nor myself took off our socks until we changed to leave the next morning. The front desk clerk and airport transfer driver were friendly and that process went smoothly.

This is a very old hotel, which has been poorly renovated. For example, the bathtubs have been spray painted, and not very well, most things have been painted, but not very well. The curtains seemed home made and did not cover the window completely, so the room was not completely dark at night. Most of the furniture in the room seemed to be second hand and were very worn. I will not stay there again. I rather pay a little more and get better quality. I really do not understand how Hotels.com could have it rated that high.....

The best thing about this hotel by far is the cleanliness of the rooms and the convenience to downtown, the gas station right next to it also seemed a bit unsafe at times but they had police officers there. I didn’t like how small the bathrooms were and room service skipped my room twice, we were there for 5 days, they came for the first 3 and cleaned and reset like they were supposed to but for some reason the last two days we had to ask them for towels and rags even though we were right next to the laundry room and could hear them passing by. We also put our trash outside so they could pick it up and we watched them walk right by multiple times before grabbing it. Other than that as long as you’re looking for something affordable and not fancy, it’s really good and I would stay here again

Bed super soft.. sagged down almost to the floor. It was a reasonable, semi-dumpy airport hotel. $79 for an overnight in Charlotte with a free shuttle. Didn’t like the breakfast. Toaster didn’t work. Nothing hot - but it seemed clean, just very dated. There is a Cracker Barrel next door - which isn’t my favorite chain - but nice to have a restaurant near that had decent food options.

This hotel was exactly what we needed - a place that was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the airport shuttle service was very convenient. The surrounding area wasn't completely ideal (every time we walked to Cracker Barrel or the convenient store people would follow us and keep asking for money). Overall, we would likely stay at this location again if we come back to Charlotte.
