StayCozy at The Frankford

The property itself is beautiful and clean , however the noise at night could be very loud, not only from people walking by but also from the cars and subway. PARKING is horrible should give a parking permit or charge for one.

The apartment was very nice, clean, spacious. But the building is near the SEPTA metro, and so quite noisy when the train goes by. Also, the elevator stopped working, which mean climbing up and down five flights.

Our family of 4 stayed here the weekend of 4/25/25 for Monster Jam. We would most certainly stay here again. The unit was clean and well-appointed and looked just like the photos. The rooftop area was also as pictured and provided beautiful views of the skyline. The Cozy Team provided excellent communication in a timely manner. Fishtown is lovely and extremely walkable. We felt safe walking around at night with our 5 and 11 year olds. There are many restaurants nearby. The only drawback was parking, which was very difficult to come by. We were able to park in a lot on Howard St about 3 blocks away on Friday around 6pm but the lot was full on Saturday when we came back around 8:30pm, so my husband circled several blocks for about 30 minutes before he found a spot. I would recommend parking your car for the duration of your trip and walking or using a ride share. We also realized early on that you can double park with your hazards on to load and unload your vehicle near the building, many cars were double parked briefly throughout our stay. Proximity to Lincoln Financial Field was great, with about a 15 minute ride with easy access to 95. Some reviews mention that you can hear the elevated train that runs nearby. Our unit was on the front of the building on Frankford Ave and we did not have any issues. 10/10 would recommend. Book it.

This was my first time experiencing a concierge-less stay. Not having any drinking water provided, not being able to leave my luggage at the venue, not being able to check in early for no reason other than “just because” was enough for me to not stay here again. The concept might work for people who are staying for leisure but for people traveling for business, this is very inconvenient. Also, when I reached out to the Sonder chat, it seemed like I was bothering whomever I was messaging with. Every time I reached out, they would tell me that I can just use the app and I didn’t need to chat with them however I did need to utilize the chat feature because the issues/concerns I had couldn’t be resolved in the App.

There were a few things broken which we reported, but were told repair crew didn't work weekends. Also, disappointed no recycling in building, and no ability to store luggage during early/late arrival.

The place instead was nice. Limited utensils though. The elevators were unfortunately down doing my stay.

Room was okay but we stayed 3 nights and the coffee supply and soaps were not sufficient for the number of days. Parking is a major issue.

We loved our stay here!! I could totally live here.. Such a nice comfortable place, in a nice area, so many amenities! We loved the rooftop terrace! The kitchen was great... We bought groceries at the Reading Terminal Market and made dinner at home one night. We will definitely stay here again when in Philadelphia!!!!

Very clean

Property was clean other than the smell. It smelled terrible. The manager asks you to turn-off the A/C and check-out and then no one turns it back on before you check-in. My guess that’s what causes the smell.

Absolutely loved the property, the rooftop at night is something you definitely want to check out when visiting! Overall our space was very nice, stylish and comfortable. The bed and linens were all fresh and clean, we did however notice that the floors did seem quite dirty.. the bathroom could use a deep cleaning as well. Staff was very polite when communicating with regarding questions on entering the building prior to check in. Despite the few issues with cleanliness that we did have, we would likely book again when in the Philadelphia area.

We stayed for one evening for a concert at the Filmore. Pros: 1. Good location around lots of restaurants, bars, and 15 minute walk to the Flimore. 2. Updated space, new appliances and cabinets. 3. Clean bed and bathroom, although the counter top did need to be cleaned as well as the coffee table. 4. Rooftop space. We did not use too cold, though it is a nice area to relax with views if weather was better. Cons: 1. Parking is very hard to find. 2. Carpet in the bedroom needs replacing. Stained and edges curl up. Tripping hazard. 3. Door at street level that lets you into the building does not lock behind you when you enter. I contacted someone through the Sonder app and was told it would be fixed. It was not. Safety concern.

Place was nice, clean and very centralized. Will deff stay again.

Let me start with the positives: The hotel is very affordable, which is a plus, but it does come with some drawbacks. After the first night, I had to change rooms due to a broken bed, a malfunctioning Roku, and constant noise from a nearby train right outside the hotel. The new room was an improvement, but there was a strong chemical smell from cleaning products, and the bedroom had a noticeable odor of cigars. The bathroom door didn’t close properly, which was a bit inconvenient. One night, there was a loud party in another unit that lasted until 1 AM. While the hotel is well-designed and spacious, don't expect a flawless experience — there are definitely some issues to be aware of.

We found numerous items hanging loose from the wall. Toilet paper holder, etc. very noisy and pot filled smoke in common areas . Not a very good environment for our grandchildren. Master bedroom bath had a ceiling water leak with heavy mold growing in shower ceiling.

Property was very nice and the neighborhood is great. But the never-ending train that goes all day and night is really difficult. Would not go back because of that.

This place exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly shocked by how clean and modern the place was. The bed was comfortable, it was extremely spacious, and was so cozy. Another thing to add is the staff is exceptional with their communication. Any question or concern I had, they got back to me in a timely manner with the utmost professionalism. I highly recommend booking with them!

I was disappointed how the proximity to my bedroom window interfered with sleeping. The sound and rumble of the train was only halted from midnight to 5 am, not great for light sleepers. Once that sound wakes you, there’s no not hearing it lying in bed.

Pros: Secure building. Walkable location. Roof deck. Clean. Working washer/dryer. Looks nicely decorated. Cons: Overpriced. Next to train tracks - 2 trains run every 15 minutes all day and night. Uncomfortable bed. Minimal amenities. Thin walls, guests next door were partying and smoking through the night. Host didn't send entry code at check-in, had to wait about an hour to get into the unit. Someone (I can only assume housekeeping) attempted entry into the unit twice in the morning, before checkout time. They opened the door, but were stopped by the door latch, then closed the door without ever saying anything. Overall, not my worst stay ever, but the loud trains and the jumpscares of strangers opening the door puts me off from booking here again, especially for their prices.

It was fine and happened quickly, but know this might be an issue when booking via hotels.com.

Great to have an apartment at a hotel price. I could get up early and make coffee while letting my wife sleep. I also loved having the ability to cook. Very convenient to the EL and neighborhood bars and restaurants. The only thing I did not like was the weird TV setup of only Chromecast, never could figure it out.

Easy check-in, very comfortable apartment and in a great location in fishtown. Recommended!

Good: Spacious apartment style rooms with fully functional kitchen. 2) Good location for restaurants and bars. Bad: 1) The neighborhood isn't all the way there yet. Sketchy areas in close proximity. 2) The entry door to the building was damaged by vandalism which made entry difficult for about a day. The handle was broken off and replaced by a 2x4... which did work. 3) The address is the Chase bank. The actual door is to the right side of the bank.

My stay was quiet and relaxing. I wish that they had a television in bedroom and water pressure was low in bathroom is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars

I thought the apartment was very clean and spacious for three guests. Parking wasn\'t terrible, after driving around a few times I was able to get a spot on the street. Philly is a tough city to find parking, not really the Sonders fault. My only issue when staying was the key code. Have to input it multiple times to gain entry into the apartment. That was a little frustrating when we first got there since everything is through the app and there isn\'t a "front desk" to go visit. Tried six different times before it finally went through. Other than that, location was nice, plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance. We actually chose this location because we were going to a concert at the Fillmore and were able to walk there and back after the show.

There has to better communication line about signing into your own to get your inquiries

When I booked from Expedia I did not realize it wasn’t a traditional hotel with a reception desk and staff upon checking in. I had recently downloaded expedia and had no idea it was using a private relay automated code email that wasn’t my personal email address. The hotel is contactless access which sends a link via email upon booking, which I didn’t receive due to the automated private relay email that Expedia generates. This created an issue for me I had to call customer service to get the link sent to my phone number. Luckily there was a really cool bar on the corner that let me sit while I sorted this out. It was stressful as my phone was about to die. Once I completed the identity verification, download the Sonder app got my access codes and could finally get into the unit. The unit was very nice very clean, comfortable bed and full apartment amenities. My favorite part was the private balcony which. I enjoyed some food I had bought across the street. The hotel is located in a really cool part of town you will not run out of things to do. There’s unique bars, restaurants and attractions everywhere. Philadelphia is a really special place and this spot taps into that in a memorable way. The rooftop lounge is very breathtaking at night. Amazing view of the downtown skyline. There’s noise from the street all night but that didn’t bother me, I grew up in a big city and you can’t expect a party city to turn off at night. Nothing crazy just some drunken laughs and yelling

The apartment was cute and a good size for three people for the weekend. I did have issue getting into my unit when I arrived but customer service was quick and very helpful. They even changed my room code when I requested. Only sticking point was the lighting in the bedrooms and bathroom was pretty dim so it made getting ready tough (mostly makeup). But overall great stay!

Very cumbersome reservation process. DO NOT LIST A GUEST ON YOUR EXPEDIA RESERVATION - this results in a nightmare to untangle. There is no direct number to the hotel - only a number to a call center. While the space is ample, there\'s not enough seating for the maximum number of people in the dining area or living room. No local TV, or cable - only Chromecast, which is not revealed in the hotel\'s amenities. Once you get to the hotel, their "24/7 service" is available by text - good luck if you have any emergent needs as no one is on site. If you report an issue, they have 24 hours to respond to it, so service is NOT available 24/7 as advertised.

I didn’t like problem with codes to get in at checking in.

Was unable to actually check-in due to no front desk /permanently online system. Their automated system was unable to let me take a selfie to match with my ID. Customer service was woefully unhelpful -- ended up having to book new hotel for same day accommodation.

The apartment itself is great. Very well equipped, furnished and decorated. Staying at an apartment rather than a hotel gives you the feeling of "living" in the city you are visiting, even if only for a day. The area is obviously seeing a great transformation, it is up and coming and filling up with cool and vibrant spots. HOWEVER... I should have paid more attention to other reviews that mention how noise travels easily into the apartment, both from the street and from within the building. At times it feels like your windows are open, or there are no walls at all, you really do hear every minimal noise. I guess I was lucky it was a quiet night, and still. Just keep this in mind if noises bother you while sleeping. Otherwise, it is a fantastic place.

Great place, Great location !

Sonder’s Frankford Ave. location in Fishtown is right in the midst of a plethora of fab eating establishments and a record store four storefronts down the block; walking south on Frankford Ave. after three minutes you reach a cool rock club (Johnny Brendas) and then another three minutes away you come upon an entertainment complex which includes The Fillmore, a twenty-five hundred capacity music venue, that was very cool. We went to see The The last night and they were great! Oh … let me also mention a very spacious and yummy coffee/tea/egg sandwich spot … Gryphon Cafe right around the corner from Frankford Ave. and West Jefferson Street on North Broad Street. So much to do … all within walking distance.
