The pool was nice (but cold). There was a lot of garbage outside. The room was smelly. They forgot to give us towels. Only one roll of toilet paper in the room. Airport shuttle was fine.

The airport shuttle takes forever to come. It says every 45 minutes but seems like you usually wait for an hour. Be prepared to watch every other shuttle come by 3-4 times while you wait. They should advertise that it only comes every 45 minutes on hotels.com. Overall the room was clean and neat but had no blankets, just the top sheet, so it can be cold even with the heater.

Honestly this had to be the worst place I’ve stayed and that includes my travels through Ecuador. The facility is decades past needing attention. The rooms have old dirty carpet and are stained/ gross. Pool is unkept and green, homeless drugged out guy laying on ground near pool. I understand that the price point is lower than near by companies but this place is down right gross. I would not recommend. Pay an extra $20 for a way better place.

Poor and misleading communication. Was told on the phone that the shuttle ran 24 hours; it did not. Desk agent said to ask shuttle driver for information about correct stops. Shuttle driver did not provide good information, and we wasted an entire morning due to missed connections.

It's a good hotel on a budget. The owners an employees actually do care allot about the hotel. Every time I've stayed there I've witnessed them deep cleaning multiple rooms at a time. Steam cleaning the rugs etc. Yes the property is a bit outdated, but it's not a bad place to stay. They don't have luggage carts or elevators to the 2nd floor. So in reality all they need to do is remodel the bathrooms, offer luggage delivery, and then it could gain a ☆ on the rating scale. The employees are nice, and accommodating. When ever I've gotten there and there weren't any rooms available yet they have always offered and locked my luggage in their storage room so i could go do something else. Other times they have given me the first room available and even given me a free upgrade. The airport shuttle drivers are always kind, and helpful. I hope this helps you grasp the ideal of the hotel.

Airport shuttle never came. Had to Uber to the hotel. Receptionist wasn't too friendly. Business-like only. When telling us where the room was, he just said, "All the way down" and gestured. We asked again and he repeated the same answer. Also, he was hard to understand. We wandered through many structures searching for the room. Showing us a map would've been helpful. The room was comfortable.

You get what you pay for. Holes in the carpet, room is worn and dated. Airport shuttle is not available 24 hours. I could hear guests on either side of my room and people walking in front of room all night. On the plus side, it’s inexpensive and close to the airport for a very early morning flight. The gentleman at the front desk was kind.

The hotel is in desperate need of a makeover. It's a highway roadside motel that hasn't been renovated in years. My allergies were so incredibly bad after staying there one night my eyes were almost totally swollen shut in the morning. There was some sort of accident in my room at some point and there's a huge stain on the floor. It looks like they tried to cut a square of carpet out that didn't fit properly to replace the blood or whatever it is on the carpeting. This hotel is god-awful. The only reason I stayed there is because there was nothing left available because of conventions going on.

This is a horrible hotel. One of the worst Ive ever stayed in. You cannot get a hold of anyone prior to arrival. I tried asking for early check in and the shuttle by messaging and calling and noone ever answers. The shuttle runs every 45 minutes, so we waited that long at the airport to get picked up. Then there is only a 3pm check we had to wait in a long line at that time. It’s huge run down hotel, so when we finally got checked in, it was a hike to our room with no elevator. The door looked like it had been broken into a few times. The carpet was shabby and stained. The sliding bathroom door would not close. The bathroom was old and moldy. The beds did have clean sheets, but other than that, this place is a dump. Do not stay here. It’s not worth the lower price. I wish hotels.com would take this hotel off of their website and refund my money.

The room smelled terrible, like a combination of mildew and a dirty ash tray. The carpet was stained. I had to sleep with a mask on because of the smell. The front desk never picked up the phone. The furniture was depressing. The plaster in the bathroom was crumbling. But the bed was comfortable.

i really want to be honest so that next time you’ll do better. Our overnight stay at Travelodge San Francisco Airport North was terrible. The room is dirty, especially the bathroom, the carpets are stained and also the chair. but the worst experience we had is THE BED BUGS. we tried to talk with the receptionist but he just ignored the problem and asked us to call the manager, but the manager won’t even answer our call because we want a refund.

Typical budget friendly motel. Check in was quick and easy. Best part is you are so close to the car rental return. We just used this as an overnighter for an early return flight home. Our room was outdated, lacks accessible outlets but it’s clean.

The good: hot water and water pressure, shower head was clean. towels were clean although thin, the grout in the tile on the walls in the shower was clean and the AC worked. The shuttle pick up was on time and easy ( though it is up to a 45 min wait depending on when you get to the outdoor hotel shuttle pick up area at SFO). The bad: peeling paint in the room, a shower area that has seen better days, super low toilet, no microwave or mini fridge, no USB outlets to charge (there was only one plug in the entire room that worked we could charge a phone on), the worst was the carpet- we didn’t feel safe walking barefoot on it. It was old and spongy. Who in the hospitality industry thinks square pillows are a thing?! They aren’t and they suck to sleep on. This is a drive up old style motel where you park your car in front of your room and all doors face the outside. There are 7 different buildings and some appear to have tenants. I would not feel safe having a child inside the room and we didn’t leave the room after sunset. After our stay we will up our star requirement and NOT stay at this property again. I would warn others to spend the extra $25-$30 and stay elsewhere.

The price was great, but I guess you get what you pay for. The room smelled old, paint job was lacking quality, no chair, no electrical outlet on either side of the bed, TV remote worked sometimes, wifi was subpar, and the shower handle needed serious help to turn on.

There was no door on the bathroom and it was very tiny. The rest of the room was decent but there were almost no plug ins in our room. One side of the bed had a power strip but the other side did not.

The bed was clean and comfortable, but you definitely get what you pay for. Right next to the highway, under the take off path of SFO and absolutely nothing within walking distance. Not a place you want to hang out at. Also, I think the last time this Travelodge was updated was in the 60’s.

The room was clean and it was nice to have a coffee in the morning. The only complaint I would have is the person at the Reception desk - not welcoming - not pleasant at all . . almost seemed annoyed with his job - had a strong accent and spoke fast so I had a difficult time understanding him . . I had to ask him to repeat himself 2 or 3 times

Customer check in with front desk Robert was a very poor experience. Arriving after 29 hour flight stood at front desk and he didn’t even acknowledge me. Eating and joking with his coworker. Ck in time was 3pm I arrived at 2:38pm. Was told to sit in lobby didn’t watch or welcome or anything. Rude and unprofessional. Hotel property was empty this day and they gave me a room near the stock employee room, very loud and carpet reaked urine smell. Stay 8 days and after 5 days asked for changed of towels and was told there was none. Aske again everyday after that and was told we don’t have any. Never received room service. Ac/heater wasn’t working ask for help and never received any help from front desk. Worst experience upon arrival after such a long international flight. The only time they talk to me or even looked at me was check out time to ask to post a good review. Worst hotel experience ever

Stayed for a 5 days and my room was not cleaned or given new towels.I had to go to the office and get them myself.When checking out the older gentleman running the lobby was super rude and loud.Would not give me a hard copy of the bill and said that you can get it in your email.Don’t get stay at this establishment.Terrible wifi as well

the people in the office didn't appear to care about their customers or were poorly trained. Took 3 phone calls over 2 days when housekeeping hadn't been to our room for 5 days.Also"policy" made it an ordeal and required we make 3 trips to the office to add an 8th night to our stay. We were made to check out book a new reservation and pay another $100 deposit. Still waiting 4 both deposits to be credited to my account !!!

Staff very rude, especially if you show up 30 minutes early for check in. Staff demanded $100 deposit on credit card. Then insisted on photocopying the credit card. (I'll be monitoring my AmEx card while on vacation. Then reporting it compromised when I get home. But it was almost worth the price

Terrible experience at check in. I booked 4 rooms for my elderly parents and their friends and front desk claimed that I only booked 1 room and wanted to upcharge them for the 3 extra rooms. My parents provided them with confirmations and IDs but refused to look them up by their IDs. It took them over an hour of back and forth before they were able to honor the reservations that was booked and confirmed. Avoid this hotel at all cost!

My recent day at this Travelodge was disappointing. The check-in process was slow and unorganized, which set a frustrating tone for the visit. The printer wasn’t working and I was waiting more than 30 minutes where I know some others were waiting a bit longer. The room itself was in minimal condition – clean enough to be acceptable, but clearly in need of updates and maintenance. Basic amenities were provided, but nothing beyond the bare minimum. It served its purpose for a short stay, but I wouldn’t choose this location again, unless improvements are made.

shuttle was great!! Missed the notes they come every 45 minutes to an hour but caught on for the next one back to the airport! The guy upfront pretty much yelled at me to leave and come back at 3pm cause it was only 11am and I was only asking if a room was available and I could even pay more to check in. He said I cannot even check in so when I come back at 3pm I can just grab keys. He said NO CHECK IN. GO AWAY AND COME BACK AT 3PM. Had someone else at 3:30 when I did check in who was nice!! Rooms were outdated but worked for what I needed. Beds were clean. Bathroom tub/shower was leaking, floors were sticky so I just wore socks till I got into bed. Bottom line is rooms are good for the price you pay! Just don't go before check in time and try and know the rooms are outdated and not up to par but again for the price a person cannot expect much more.. Perk is Denny's is right there to eat which is very convenient!

The location is great as it's pretty close to the airport and room was clean. Pillows were too small and not the best. Parking fee is $5.00/night which is reasonable in the area but they should provide free parking for the hotel guests! Overall good value for the price.

This is an affordable place in a pinch. Otherwise, it is in a sketchy part of town. The dead bolt on the door was broken by forcible entry and not replaced. That makes it hard to sleep calmly at night.

I have stayed at this property many times. My room this go around was pretty good. The bed was comfortable and the room was in general good repair (minus some paint flaking on the wall). It's convenient with IHOP on the property and other fast food oriented items nearby. The 292 SamsTrans bus is right out front. That was take you to the airport but will also take you into San Francisco.

Hotel shuttle was reliable , was in and out for a night in sf. You get what you pay for, nothing fancy, exactly what you’d expect. Did the job, would come back, price can’t be beat. I wouldn’t bring my wife here but for a solo guy trip that just needs a warm bed and wanted to be cheap, I’m pretty happy. IHOP next door was awesome before I rolled out. So between the shuttle, the cheap night rate, and the ihop next door, yea just do it.

Travelodge was close to airport for an overnight. Didn’t realize that the shuttle only comes every 45 minutes so we got in later than we expected. IHOP next-door was good for breakfast Staff was great to leave our suitcases for an hour in a locked closet Price was very good.

The stay exceeded our expectations. We paid $212 for three nights which is really cheap considering it was a long weekend. Pros: It is just a 5 mins drive from the SFO airport. Hotel shuttle is available from 5 am to 1 am. There is an iHop attached to the reception area which is open 24 hours. Gas station is right beside the hotel Room and washroom was clean. AC and heating was working perfectly. There is a pool. The staff are really helpful and welcoming. There is a small arena which we really liked. Cons: We didn't find any.
