Reviews of Delta Hotels by Marriott Detroit Novi highlight clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff, a convenient location near highways and restaurants, and amenities like a gym, pool, and on-site dining, though some facilities and service experiences are inconsistent.

Multiple guests reported elevator outages and pool or hot tub closures or cold temperatures, while others praised the gym. Dining feedback is mixed: the restaurant draws compliments, but breakfast quality, pricing, and inclusion vary. Rooms are often spacious and quiet, yet a number of reviews note dated bathrooms, occasional A/C issues, and some uncomfortable beds. Convenient location with friendly, hard working staff. The common areas are modern and well appointed: lobby, restaurant, fitness center, pool, banquet rooms. The beds were comfortable and the housekeeping staff was great However the rooms are dark and the lighting is poor. The bathrooms are very dated: old tub, visible wear on wall paper, baseboards, flooring. etc. Definitely needs some work. Breakfast buffet is mediocre.

We had to ask multiple times for sheets for the pull out bed, there were stains on the benches, no towels in the pool. Only 2 towels for 4 people as well as they only provided 1 pillow for the pull out bed when they knew we had 2 kids. Hot tub jets were out of order, Elevator was out of order. Not what you would expect for a higher end hotel!

Hotel smelled amazing, was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was large, clean, and was thoroughly pleasant. The elevators were intermittently causing trouble so we took the stairs which was fine most times. Was disappointed that the pool closed at 9pm after we were told 10 pm and was shocked that instead of staff coming to close pool down, they just shut the lights off in the pool area right at 9pm. This seemed really unsafe and caused our kids to panic while trying to swim to the ladder in the dark.

The night we stayed the air conditioning was out, they provided one box fan to cool the whole room. Our room was 81 degrees by the time we left. I think they should have reached out to us prior to our stay so we could prepare. My kids loved the pool, except the hot tub didnt work! It was just a hot pool basically. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and the service was excellent. The hotel was beautiful, but definitely turned off by the no air conditioning.

Overall a nice hotel. Well kept, spacious rooms. The staff could care less about customers and issues. The elevator was not working and they just kind of shrugged thier shoulders about it. We also had an awful sewage smell coming from our bathroom one of days and when I kindly reported it, they had zero reaction and again, just shrugged their shoulders. Felt odd.

Courteous staff, super clean room and lobby, adequate parking are the positive aspects. I think the room price is a bit high, the snacks are way too much, and the breakfast is not included, nor is coffee! My room had a coffee/tea maker on the counter that did the trick. Selection of TV programs or movies is abysmal, unless you already subscribe to some streaming services at home. As it turns out my room did not have a microwave, but it had a refrigerator- still a microwave is available in the downstairs lounge area for public use.

I had to change rooms because of their lack of housekeeping. There was brown stuff on my toilet and mold on the shower curtain. The family in the room next to us was extremely loud all night. There was a persistent poop smell in the lobby by the elevator. The whole week and there was never any towels in the pool area. my room was on the third floor and the one elevator that worked seemed a mile away. On top of all of that I had extra charges from my stay here.

My check in went really well. The young lady was pleasant and very helpful. The hotel is just a bit old and tired I think. For example: my tub had been resurfaced and the paint was heavily peeling around the sides. Other than that I had a peaceful night sleep and that is all I really care about: clean and be able to sleep.

I have worked for Marriott for a long time; the associate who checked us in did not go out of there way to help as Marriott’s core value. I had reservations for 3 rooms, where I was expecting to check in around 10am with an early $50.00 fee. When checking in due to flight delays at 12:30 ~ 1pm we were charged an early check-in fee on 4th of July (occupancy was probably less than half) for 3 rooms. I politely asked the associate if I can check in early for 1 room with the fee and finish the process for the other 2 rooms so I do not have to drive back, associate expressed that’s not possible. Where managing a Marriott property it was possible as I was there present and the rooms were ready to go. There was another associate male who was present overhead the whole situation did not step in to help as he was shopping on the company computer, the front counter had juice residue which could have been cleaned. I was very disappointed when asked for a managers card, I was told they are locked away and was given card for Kristen Keene who’s a director of sales. Maybe the place is managed by director of sales, reason why it’s lacking in customer service. I do not want anything free nor was paying $150.00 extra to save an hour is hurting me. The attitude of the associate and seeing the standard dropping did, as Mariott once was one of the good hotel who took care of there associates and in return associate took care of the guest. They will not be getting my business or future stays.

When we got to the hotel, the front desk staff was very "snooty". I was told the booking system shut off at 3 pm and asked, quite rudely, when I booked the room. I was made to feel it was my fault that I was able to book a room around 5 pm thru the hotels.com app, despite them "not having a room." Magically, they found us a room. We were desperate and everywhere else was booked, otherwise the front desk staff\'s attitude would have made us walk right out the door. Other than that, the hotel was beautiful and clean with great amenities.

My wife and I work for a major airline and so we travel close to 60 times per year. This hotel is in my top 5 out of the 50 or more I have stayed in. It only had one restaurant but it was darn near perfect. Nice size, plenty of tvs and great food, breakfast and dinner. The prices were unbelievable great, especially during happy hours. You have to be careful when reading reviews. No hotel is perfect and staffs have good days and bad days, just like guest. Dont sleep on this hotel. But please sleep there. Lol
