Nice room with pool view. The only issue was the long wait at the elevators. Took the stairs a few times up 9 flights of stairs.

Excellent service, easy accessibility to pool, restaurant and laundry. Everything you needed for an enjoyable stay was there

We had a fantastic time- the only thing missing was a hot tub for a good soak at the end of the day. The rooms were nice and spacious, beds were comfortable. Could have used a microwave. Room was cleaned daily- staff was always around to help. Transportation major bonus points, and being able to get into park earlier made it worth it. Every day, we went to the parks early, went back to the resort for lunch and a dip in the pool, then back to the parks after 5. Even though it’s an active vacation, being able to go back and forth with ease on the buses allowed us to rest and relax. My daughter got a kick out of being able to hear the music under water. Highly recommend staying.

The transportation to the park was excellent and easy. I do recommend that you request a room by elevator if you have problems walking. Elevators very far from room and lobby. Food was excellent priced at resort. Rooms very clean. Pool amemities very kid friendly. Staff and reservations

Great location. Room was clean and towels, linens were easily accessible by text message. Pools were great, lots of chairs available so you don’t have to rush to get one. Food in cafeteria was mediocre, but good when you’re in a pinch. The only things I can complain about is the elevators…it takes a good 10 mins to get one. Request a ground level room. Lines of people waiting to flood into them. Also, in the evenings and at night the pop machines never had ice in them.

Clean rooms with enough space for the family. Awesome pools that are huge. Great Starbucks and good cafeteria. Great bus service to the parks

Room was ok, basic but clean and provided enough space for us. Kitchenette area helped as we got some food and drink from local Supermarket (on site food and drink is quite expensive! We had a good room, 6th floor, overlooking pool - however 2 out of 4 lifts were out of order which meant large queue and big waits to get to and from the room - this needs addressing! Also reception area too slow, check in takes ages and not enough staff at the desks - we waited one evening (the ladies toilets downstairs were a mess and no paper) 30 mins to report an issue that needed sorting out (that shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place) - over all good tho! Not sure I would come again tho!

This is a great place to stay for families. We really enjoyed it and they have two big pools. They have laundry machines. Early entry to Universal and they shuttle service was great. They charge fro parking each night which was expensive. We really liked our stay.

The expansive property had a well run shuttle service which included all park locations, resorts, and even to the airport. Meals, gifts and souvenirs cam be purchased right on the resort. Parking is more reasonable than at the City Walk. The available pool, gym and meeting soaces make this an all inclusive resort.

Property up keep is great. My only comment was about the rooms not being cleaned everyday in the morning. We would get to the hotel after a long day out at 3 and the room would still be messy. Room service was lacking. Thats all.

Stayed 16 nights, 3rd visit in 3 years for a longer stay. Now reviewing options for the stay planned in December due to a few factors. The resort buses were really great on previous trips but this year they seemed less frequent and more full with most trips we seemed to be in the wrong point of the lines and end up standing. During the trip one of our refill mugs disappeared from by the sunbeds, had the receipt and all but seems they can’t deactivate them or transfer the prepaid days remaining on to a new cup and we just got a small discount on a new one when it was replaced. Not so much the hotels issue there but was a shame they didn’t offer a better discount or let us pay for the cheapest cup option and transfer the days as like I said we had proof of purchase. The room cleaning was intermittent at best. Sheets only changed twice on a 16 night stay. We found the cleaners were knocking at 8;30am and if we weren’t out by 10;30am we’d have no service that day. We tried using the do not disturb sign twice too we were then out by 9:30 and those days no service either so we stopped using it and just went with being woke by the cleaner by 8:30 still saved an alarm call I suppose and as we were busy most days we were usually just about up. The food in the hotel isn’t so good, expensive and literally quick service with limited variety when it comes to veggie/healthier sides. The pools are great and the towels poolside are handy too.

Second year staying here and my kids loved it . Close to everything and pool super clean. A little disappointed that rooms were not as clean as prior year.

Had a bed bug

My room wasn’t properly clean. The refrigerator was nasty with brown liquid in it. Behind the trash can old food from the previous customer. The toilet was not flushing properly and had a bad smell.

The property had roaches. I saw several roached in my room, in Tower 1 room 1160. The first night we arrived, right after check-in and a few more 2 days later

Some of the lobby furniture was stained and the carpet looked dingy. The lobby bathrooms were a little unkept. The dining area and store were nice.

Did not like breakfast… opted for Starbucks the following morning. Pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Shower water with No pressure. They only cleaned our room twice in 5 days. Elevators are super slow with too much traffic, need more elevators!!!!

Hair all over, flooded room, rude staff

This was my third stay. The hotel as usual was clean and the employees are always friendly and helpful.

This was a great place to stay. It was clean and close to the parks and other fun tourist attractions. My only complaint is it's really loud in the halls and when the room door next to you slams shut it rattles the wall. The room doors are loud when they close. Pool was nice. Parking is kinda expensive. Overall great stay.

Clean rooms. Spacious. Home away from home. We stayed for 5-nights while we visited the Universal parks. We are a family of 4 and the girls enjoyed having their own beds while my wife and I had our own bed in a "separate" room. The picnic style dining table gave us place to eat and converse. The shuttle to and from the parks were an added bonus plus the early park admission for staying at a Universal resort hotel. Definitely would stay here again.

The property is clean and convenient. But, prepare to deal with hallway and neighbor noises. Walls are super inefficient in keeping noises down.

Great location. Buses run very quickly. Bed was lumpy but ok. Internet was a little slow. Better off crossing the street for ihop cheaper better food

Nice room with alot of space and 2 TVs in the suite and 1 private room. Pillows are a little soft so they sink. Everything else was good, fridge and storage space. Wish had a better coffee machine.

The overall stay was good. The major issue we were having is loud noise from the neighbors (the walls are very thin) and lack of blankets made it impossible to sleep. It was very cold in the room from AC and there were tiny thin sheets as blankets, we were cold all night and had bad sleep. If the hotel invests in normal blankets with duvet covers it will significantly improve the stay.

We waited over 45 minutes to check in. Majority of that time was, they only had 2 people checking us in. We reserved a 2 bedroom suite, this was not a typical suite. Only one bedroom was private, there was no sitting area or kitchen. They only had full size beds, without a dresser or night stands and a curtain for the closet which was very small. The over all suite was very small, if it can be called a suite!

The hotel is pretty good. Pool area is good, but we expected more from the rooms. Very limited space for a family hotel, small storage space, and super Small bathroom. Other than that everything was good.

Room was great except it was right outside the elevator lobby. It was very loud and at midnight the staff was moving housekeeping carts. I thought it might be loud during the day but not at night, so I did not go and change the room.

Loved this hotel and spacious room with 3 double beds. Storage for a large family though was severely lacking with only 3 drawers total

This is my second time staying here. I've always had a great experience. The only experience that I would have to voice my opinion about would just be when the locks were changed. Although we were advised a text will be sent but we all know things happens. after being at the park all day and all morning coming to the entire hotel lobby being packed full of people was concerning. Of course you don't realize the reasoning until you go to your room and see that you do not have access. Standing in line for over an an hour and a half just to get a new key was very inconvenient when you have a child with you who needs to be in the room to get his medicine. Other than the room key experience and minor issues, I really enjoyed my stay. we appreciate everyone taking care of us. I know it was not easy for the front desk to have to deal with everyone with the new room keys.

Every time we come to Orlando we always stay at Dockside and absolutely love it! The only complaint I have is when I arrive every time to check in there’s only 2-3 employees at the lobby desk and there’s always a long line and the wait is always 45-60 mins. I feel that more employees should be called to the front. Checking in shouldn’t take that long

We stayed here From Jan 31 to Feb 4 with our three children. Clean, modern rooms with comfortable beds and room darkening curtains. Quiet and effective A/C unit. Front desk was very attentive, texting us to see if we needed anything and our housekeeping requests were promptly dealt with. (We requested extra blankets for the beds, since there are no duvets). We HIGHLY recommend this resort and we will be returning again.

Bad lock upgrade roll out. We got home late from the park and had to wait in line for about an hour because everyones room key was not working. We were locked out of our room with two tired and sleepy kids.

The check-in process was very long way, overly complex. It took an hour of waiting in line and another 45 minutes going through the check-in. A store contrast to the Disney experience for checking into their hotels.

Can’t express how much of a great stay we had. The staff really made us extra special and made our stay, we were kindly upgraded on our room an it honestly made so much difference to our holiday. The staff were so kind and really do try go the extra mile. This hotel is great, pools, amenities and general vibe. We stayed a night at another universal hotel for the fast passes and a week at dockside and we all agreed undoubtedly that we will defiantly return to dockside. It’s a fantastic hotel with great rates for families. Shuttles are great! Such close proximity to parks and shops! Amazing stay. Thank you all at dockside your work is truly appreciated.

I don’t like writing bad reviews but when it earned I must. This was the 2nd time staying at this hotel and while the first experience was good this experience was the opposite. Customer service was NOT the same. While trying to ask some questions at the vacation counter a women there wouldn’t allow me to get my question out before she was giving me her answers and when I asked for her to allow me to finish my question. She had an attitude and gave me the same answer she already told me. My next issue is that some staff members don’t speak or understand English so again trying to ask a question about the food or service they just looked at me funny or gave me some random answer. Not helpful. My biggest issue is when my family and I tried to leave the parking lot our key cards would not work and we were not the only ones. One of there employees behind my car was nice and tried to help but even he couldn’t get it to work. When we gave up and went into the lobby to let the hotel rep know she told me that the manager was out there twice and that it’s working and to be more patient as it’s not the machine that is malfunctioning. When I told here that one of the employees tried he could get it to work and when we tried using the call button the voice message would come in the disconnect before you had a chance to leave a message. My wife talked to the same hotel rep and got the same manager to try and it didn’t work. He apologized as some cards where disconnected a day early.

The staff and the day supervisor Crystal was awesome and very friendly to us! Made our honeymoon very memorable! My grandkids drove up from Tampa to spend our last day at the resort! Loved every minute of our stay!

Poor communication during a major key update for the rooms. Leaving us outside our room until 1am. New keys they distributed didn’t work with the parking garage they neglected to let us know.

Front desk was amazing! Got to check in very early.

Great location if going to Universal and right on International Drive so have choice of restaurants and buses to take you to premium outlets or other shops on I drive. Shuttle buses to Universal excellent and also has Avis car rental on site.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The location was perfect — just a short, easy bus ride to Universal Orlando, which made getting to the park super convenient. Everything was smooth and stress-free, and we’ll definitely stay here again on our next trip!

The location of the resort was wonderful. It was close to different restaurants, souvenir shops, and a Walgreens. Very walkable. The downside of the resort you can hear through the rooms. I could hear the people above us, but overall it was really nice. The pool was heated and huge!

Close to Universal, walkable but also had plenty of transportation options. Property was clean and stay was friendly.

We have stayed here a few times and always enjoyed being so close to iDrive and the universal parks The hotel is well equipped and has good facilities but there were moments of chaos and disorganisation, usually around check in times and when things were being changed like the road resurfacing (who knew that was gonna happen!) oh and the room key fiasco (which was a planned event apparently but a disaster, oh the queues) However that said it wouldn’t stop us from staying again.

We were in tower two and had to walk through the designated smoking area to get to our room. Smoking should be in an out of the way place.

Great location on International drive. Easy to get to all of the parks, lots of restaurants near by. The room was comfortable, and clean. The food and drinks on property were better than expected. The busses to the park were easy to catch and super convenient. My only complaint was the noise. I could hear people multiple rooms away, and when everyone left in the morning, the doors slamming was really loud. Other than that it was a great stay.

An excellent stay at Dockside Inn and Suites. Our holiday got off to the perfect start when we received a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite. That was a most welcome surprise! The hotel is very clean and bright throughout, while the food available in the Pier 8 Market is varied and very good. The staff are all friendly and helpful. One thing to consider when looking to stay at Dockside is how busy it can get. As one of the most affordable and therefore popular Universal hotels, Dockside receives a lot of guests and the lobby can often be extremely busy. However, this does not affect your stay in any major way and there is always plenty of room in areas such as the restaurant and around the pools. Overall, if you are looking for an affordable Universal hotel fir your Orlando stay, Dockside is a great option.

Love the convenience of the market, however, it's super expensive. Love the shuttle that runs to Universal.

The room was great! The check-in and check-out process was amazing and so efficient. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with my gluten allergy. They did a great job of helping me navigate the menu. I would say that my husband was slightly disappointed in how long his food had been sitting before he got to eat it. Most often it was a little bit stale.

We went to take a breakfast the restaurant in the lobby Have different type of food but the food was horrible completely cold my husband get scramble eggs whit fries potatoes (cold cold cold) my son order waffles horrible (cold and hard) coffe was on the coffee container and again was completely cold Food so expensive bad and cold Another think don’t like it and really hate the tray was wet is like they cleaned and stack whit out dry the trays

The room was clean and bright! Great shower pressure and easy access to elevators and parking garage. Ease of ordering food with choices. Starbucks in Lobby a +! Bus service to parks fast and on time. Suggestion: Eats for breakfast needs to be open earlier before buses leave in morning!

Room was clean, although a bit spartan in accommodations. Pool was perfect for the kids. The shuttle busses were always rolling with minimum wait times. And the onsite cafe' was priced well for some quick meals.

Great Resort! Nice, Clean Rooms. Love that they have suites. Their shuttle bus picked up frequently. The pool was huge and they had a nice little kid area with sand and water spray features. The best part was their food court. They had such a great variety of food selections, the prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. We would definitely stay here again! No complaints!

This is our second time staying here and I do not think we will stay again. The dining is disgusting - overcharging for stale burgers and fries made hours ahead and sitting inside a hot box. Broken elevators and very few amenities - only one small store and few convenience items for sale. Check in was fast and staff was pleasant, but this value hotel is not worth the money.

After breakfast the food service needs some work. A lot of food served is not fresh especially the burgers.
