Wonderful place and awesome golf course. There is one area that needs improvement and that is the parking lot. I had contacted the GM and suggested there needs to be more lighting for the safety of hotel guest. Very dark and somewhat intimidating at night going to your car. Hopefully the GM will get the ball rolling and make this easy fix. Great place though….

Good place to stay for home game weekend. The hotel is quiet and has a restaurant onsite. Be advised that the restaurant does not take reservations, so plan ahead. The shuttle to and from the stadium is a great amenity. Staff was very helpful!

Friendly staff. Competitive rate. Property is dated and needs a facelift. No elevators to guest rooms! Power went out in the middle of the night. Of course, not there fault although emergency lighting was severely lacking. Our hallway was pitch black and there are stairs in the middle of the hallway!

Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the hotel. This is NOT a resort. The golf course was beautiful but everything else was rundown. Upon arrival, the front desk and hallways reeked of cigarette smoke. The shower featured a used washcloth from a previous guest and mold/mildew throughout the bath.

I’m not sure where all the good reviews came from. No one was working the desk when we arrived to check in. The employee was sitting down socializing. The employee didn’t even direct us how to get to our room or mention any amenities like the pool (my children were with me). Cleanliness - or lack thereof- is what really stood out. There was a pill on the floor from whoever previously stayed in the room. So, the floors were not vacuumed. …and hair everywhere…on the beds, in the bathtub, on the towels. I hope we don’t get bedbugs from this place too.

The room was not clean when I checked in. There were no towels, soap, or shampoo. Also the toilet had not been cleaned. The wifi was also out so I could not work. On my last day, the power was out and there were no backout lights, so I spent the night in darkness.

bugs. Spider webs Dusty Dated Sticky Bathroom floor. Rooms not prepared for your stay. Randomly assigned when you get there so the room seems to have sat vacant collecting dirt and dust. Leaving time for bugs to settle in. Toilet paper half way through, so kind of proves it. Front desk employee was great for the welcoming. But not very informed on the building. Didn’t even know I was visiting for a work conference being held at the resort. Probably new there so not much of a big deal. Night staff was helpful with switching my room due to creepy crawlers found between the sheets. Checked my second room out personally which was more clean than my first room. Building looks great as you come into the property but disappointed with the interior.

If you like the 70's decor than you will be OK with this place. - Clean, yet the carpets need to be replaced. The tub has been repaired multiple times and has a black line around the patch. Bathroom floors need to be redone as well. - The bed was descent and the pillows were way to soft. - The cleaning crew was definitely in our room as the towels had been replaced, yet the bed was not remade, the bathroom was not cleaned, the coffee not replaced, and trash not taken away. - The coffee was good in the lobby. - All in all, descent yet dated. we would stay again if in the area due to the closeness to Rt 322 and the quite.

It is simply unbelievable, we arrived at the room, it was not clean at all, the beds to be done. It was about 8 pm, I complained , and by the next two days, NOTHING WAS DONE AT ALL. On my third day, I requested the bed sheet and did the beds by my self with the help of another person. Even though still had another night stay, I gave up , and checked out earlier.

Currently here and haven’t slept at all. The AC unit is so terribly loud that it not only wakes me every time it comes on but it jolts me awake and keeps me up. The hotel is sold out somehow so I couldn’t ask for a room change. I’m exhausted. I usually avoid this hotel if possible but there weren’t many options this weekend.

As I told the front desk when we checked out this was the worst nights sleep at a hotel. Their HVAC needs major repairs, each time the heat would come on it sounded like a jet airplane engine and woke us up. When it turned off it was a constant sound like a squeak/cricket. We have stayed here several times but this time was very disappointing. The front desk clerk shared she was aware of the HVAC issue and knew it hasn’t been fixed/dealt with. :-( We did try to dine at The Field last night but were told it was a 1.5 hour or longer wait so we had to leave the property to find another restaurant.

Toftrees is a nice spot near State College, we stayed while dropping my son at school. We did not play the course, I think it’s private, but it looks beautiful. The Field Burger and Tap is popular because the food is solid and the atmosphere is casual. The wait for a table of 6 was reported to be 75 min on a Friday night at 8pm; it was closer to 45. The hotel is a bit dated, but still a cut above. We found out that the ceiling did not have insulation against loud neighbors. This is not the fault of the hotel, but also not something I’ve experienced at a Hampton Inn (or similar). The staff was very responsive when I called them at 5:30 am to address the arguing couple above. So plus marks for the site. I would stay there again; would request a 2nd floor, and endeavor to NOT argue with MY wife at 5AM 😀

The place was really nice! We stayed on a penn state weekend. They had blue and white Gatorade and home made cookies. The place was clean and comfortable. They had a courtesy shuttle to the game. The front desk staff could not have been more hospitable. Definitely going to start again sometime soon.

I travel for work and while on a budget they were the lowest costing option for the psu area. Service was great, the only thing that was a little rough was the only microwave was in the lobby. The building is definitely showing age in some locations in the lobby but overall it was a decent stay.

When we got there, our rooms were not ready and they were not adjoining rooms like we asked for. My son spilled his water on the floor in the bathroom and we wiped it up with a towel and the towel ended up being yellow. Check out isn’t until 11 AM And housekeeping was knocking on our door at 9 AM. We told them that our son was sleeping in the other room that we had and not to go in there. Housekeeping proceeded to knock on that door anyway, even though it had do not disturb on it and when they didn’t answer, he walked into the room. My husband yelled at him for going into that room.

The property is a 5 minute drive to Penn State!!! Love the restaurant on the property. Beautiful golf course. Rooms need to be updated. They probably are the same as when the hotel was built. Besides that, it was a very nice place to stay.
