Heated pool and sauna were the highlight. Free wine at happy hour wasn’t a bad touch either. East to get to the lifts. Very affordable all things considered. Would stay again.

I love staying at the Moritz! My 3rd time over the years now. Always clean, charming, beautiful, peaceful. The outdoor heated pool and steamroom are delightful. The view of Aspen mountain is breathtaking. Staff is friendly. 5 stars!!!

Had an amazing time staying at St. Moritz lodge. The room and bathroom were clean. Very nice pool/patio area. Kind staff. Only thing is the walls are a little thin, but thankfully the other guests were respectful of quiet hours! Would return here again!

We have stayed at this property 2 years in a row, and would again! It is not the newest property but it is quiet, clean, and it really feels like home. The staff are so nice and accommodating. The pool is heated and refreshing. They have a laundry facility on site and a kitchen area that is convenient as well. They do wine in the later afrternoon, cookies and lemonade. We had reservations about the fact that we would have to share bathroom facilities but in actual fact they were spotlessly clean and well stocked. This was a friendly 'nothing too much trouble hotel' right in the centre of Aspen with a pool and an amazing breakfast. Only 2 downsides were that there is no lift and we were 2 floors up and parking was a little restricted. We had a very comfortable stay and wished we could have stayed to use the pool which looked very inviting

Quaint and affordable hotel in a very expensive ski town. My standard room was very basic but comfy and the free continental breakfast each morning was very good. Hotel has a pool which is heated so it really acts as a very large hot tub. Location is excellent as it is an easy 15minute walk into the centre of Aspen and the main gondola. My only issue was the walls are pretty thin and I did hear noise from adjoining rooms at times.

My son and I stayed in a room with a shared bathroom located in the hallway. The room was small but nice and clean, and the bathroom was large enough that we never had to wait in line. Tom and the staff at check-in were very helpful. The outdoor heated pool and steam room were excellent for relieving the soreness in our legs after skiing. The bus stop for the ski areas is just a 5-minute walk away. We didn't boot-up as you have the walk also after the bus drops you off. Breakfast was great as well. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.

This is a very affordable, clean hotel within walking distance of downtown Aspen, nestled against a beautiful mountain, with easy parking. A great surprise was a fantastic book selection at the front desk. This morning was great coffee and tea (with lots of choices for tea drinkers, which we're not). Overall, it's a great choice for non-super rich people who'd like to visit Aspen but don't want to spend close to $1,000 night.

Grateful for a nice, clean and friendly place to stay a few minutes from downtown Aspen. I will stay there again if I have the opportunity. My only wish is there was a filtered water bottle station or water provided at check in:)

This is one of the older properties in Aspen and it has a definite “hostel”/community feel. It is not lux, it’s a little worn, and the furniture isn’t fancy - BUT, it’s clean as a whistle, the staff is lovely, the included breakfast is amazing (fresh fruits, yogurt, meats & cheeses, cereal, hard boiled eggs, toast/bagels, and more), and my room was very comfortable. I didn’t get a chance to use the pool or steam room but I could see the pool from my room and it looked super clean and nice. I loved the place. I met nice people and had good sleep. Plus, it’s walkable to downtown!

The Inn was staffed by some of the most friendly, kindest humans I've ever encountered in a hotel. I felt like I was staying at a family member's home. My room was impeccably clean. There's nothing in the room you don't need, and it looks a little dated, but it's well-kept and the bed was super comfy. Even with the slew of hotels available in Aspen, I would stay here again for the fabulous mix of extremely walkable (it was super easy to get to both Aspen Institute and to downtown/Main St), super friendly, and clean and comfortable. A really great find in a beautiful town!

This is a great budget, a hotel/lodge for the Aspen community. The rooms were clean and had everything you needed, but on the no-frills side. With that said, this was the perfect place for me. Great location walk anywhere in downtown Aspen from this place. You probably won’t find cheaper accommodations in Aspen. Oh, and the bathroom was brand new and ultra modern!

The exterior is a little dated, but our condo was updated nicely. Quiet, chill place. On the edge of town. Didn't spend too much time there, but all the services we did use were great. Mountain views and a real patio. Parking and breakfast were included.

We were a little worried when we found the room didn’t have air conditioning but it was actually fine when we stayed (early July 2025). Walkable from downtown to restaurants and shops. The staff was incredibly friendly and offered us happy hour wine when we arrived. He also gave us a map and showed us all his favourite places to eat! The St. Moritz is a quiet, reasonably priced lodge out of the summer-time craziness that is downtown Aspen and close to the Aspen Music Festival campus. Our room was small, but immaculately clean and comfortable. The grounds, pool, and alpine flowers were well kept and delightful. Unfortunately, we had a non-catastrophic water leak in our bathroom Saturday evening. Though the lodge was full and there wasn’t an option to move, Tom, the evening manager, responded to our call immediately and courteously. He did everything he could to address the problem and to make us comfortable for the rest of our stay. He, along with management, quickly processed a very fair adjustment to our bill. Unexpected things happen while traveling, but the St. Moritz couldn’t have handled our situation any better. We will definitely plan to return to the St. Moritz for future visits to the Aspen Music Festival.

Right off the bat the staff, Tom and Clarise, made me feel very welcome. Tom even checked me in early and gave me some great ideas on places to frequent around town. Clarise was very helpful and went out of her way to be accomodating at all times. The hotel was immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast was healthy and tasty. The Happy Hour was a nice treat too. I didn't know such value was available in Aspen, but this will be my go-to hotel whenever I'm back that way. I can't say enough good things about the St. Moritz Lodge.
Right off the bat the staff, Tom and Clarise, made me feel very welcome. Tom even checked me in early and gave me some great ideas on places to frequent around town. Clarise was very helpful and went out of her way to be accomodating at all times. The hotel was immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast was healthy and tasty. The Happy Hour was a nice treat too. I didn't know such value was available in Aspen, but this will be my go-to hotel whenever I'm back that way. I can't say enough good things about the St. Moritz Lodge.

Clarisa and Tom were both just outstanding in their service, as well as friendly and kind. Clarisa sent me my headphones that I didn't see laying on the room floor and how fun it was to find out Tom grew up in my neck of the woods. Sincere thanks goes to the housekeeper who found my headphones. Enjoyed the heated pool and the grassy patio with chairs.

We did not stay here, due to flooding in the condo we had rented. However, Joel the manager was very accommodating and found a 2 bedroom condo for us in town that met our needs. We will be happy to book St Moritz in the future. Great customer service!!

We had an overall great stay, just like last year. We love how warm and inviting the entire experience is - cider and cookies and popcorn! My son left his backpack in our room and Clarisa took it to UPS to have it shipped to our house. Clarisa is probably the best part of our experience - she’s welcoming, helpful, and genuinely interested in the guests. Aspen is lucky to have this hotel for those of us who don’t have oodles of $ but still love to visit this town. Please don’t ever sell :).

This is a very affordable, clean hotel within walking distance of downtown Aspen, nestled against a beautiful mountain, with easy parking. A great surprise was a fantastic book selection at the front desk. This morning was great coffee and tea (with lots of choices for tea drinkers, which we're not). Overall, it's a great choice for non-super rich people who'd like to visit Aspen but don't want to spend close to $1,000 night.

My son and I stayed in a room with a shared bathroom located in the hallway. The room was small but nice and clean, and the bathroom was large enough that we never had to wait in line. Tom and the staff at check-in were very helpful. The outdoor heated pool and steam room were excellent for relieving the soreness in our legs after skiing. The bus stop for the ski areas is just a 5-minute walk away. We didn't boot-up as you have the walk also after the bus drops you off. Breakfast was great as well. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.

I wanted an affordable place. Here you get a room with a small fridge. The window opens for fresh air. One bath per floor was in excellent shape and clean. The grounds were beautiful. Lemon aid and cookies were out when I arrived. Breakfast was free and I enjoyed it very much. A lot of fruit and bakery bagels. Every one was professional.

Basic clean room in perfect location to experience Aspen and surrounding areas. Close to free shuttle bus. Walking distance to main area restaurants. Great stay everyone was so nice and accommodating! Tom also goes above and beyond! Definitely recommend this hotel. I don’t really leave reviews but I had to. They also give free snacks and drinks which is really nice! Also the free breakfast was great! Lots of fruit!

Pleasantly surprised. My Army buddy and I have stayed in 3 different hotels for our trips to Aspen. All have been OK but the St Moritz is more than that. The rooms were as advertised: two beds, kitchen with everything we needed, good sized bathroom, parking on-site. We were particularly surprised by the continental breakfast which was much more extensive than most places. We ate the breakfast burritos we brought with us but topped it off with a trip to the downstairs dining room for muffins, meats, cheese, yogurt, cereal, fruit, bagels and more. Really no need to bring any breakfast items. We were a bit worried on the method we would use for getting to the Aspen Mountain gondola. Walking in ski boots and carrying skis/poles was a bit of a challenge so we used the city bus system. Great choice. A couple of blocks to the bus stop and 5-10 minutes later we were at the gondola. We will definitely stay at the St Moritz again. Very friendly staff also. But next time we will remember our bathing suits for the HEATED pool.
