Small, comfy, quiet hotel. No frills. Walking distance to most shops, restaurants, gondola. Parking spaces in front of the hotel were a plus. You can also park on the street over the weekend. Note: the hotel does not have an elevator, so if you're staying on the third floor, you'll feel the altitude!

We LOVE Hotel Durant! Great location. 5-10 min walk to everything. Free continental breakfast, tea and coffee. Complimentary cheese, wine and warm cookies every evening. Amazing service!!! Front desk guy David is very helpful and friendly. We will come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quick and easy check in. Friendly greeting. Super quiet, though it was a Tuesday night. Got a free upgrade without even asking since it was a slow night. Reserved parking spots out front. Super clean rooms. Bathroom was poorly designed and breakfast was minimal given how expensive the stay was, but a good overall stay.

Very nice property. It is located in a quite neighbourhood and is very walkable to restaurants, shops and the gondola. The room is very clean and the bed is comfortable. The staff are friendly and the hotel offers free breakfast in the morning. Parking is a bit tight in the front of the hotel but they provides a pass for parking on the street.

This was our second visit to this European-style small hotel, an easy walk from all the attractions of central Aspen. The rooms are small, but quiet and comfortable. Easy parking in front of the hotel was a plus! (Note: there is no elevator to the rooms.)

Amazing location- easy access to Ajax mountain and just a few blocks from town transit. The hotel offers daily happy hour and cookies and the hot tub was a treat after skiing. Breakfast was a great selection with lots of fruit and grab and go options in addition to oatmeal, cereal, eggs and bagels.

This is a clean, pleasant hotel. It feels like an upscale hostel. I agree with other reviews that the basement rooms are not ideal - our room felt claustrophobic and cave-like. We did enjoy the hot tub. This is Aspen and everything is expensive so no need to expect a lot for a reasonable amount of money.

Lovely hotel, pristine and welcoming. Florence at the front desk was friendly and efficient, did everything to make guests comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. We enjoyed freshly brewed coffee, OJ, and a toasted bagel with cream cheese and yummy preserves. Walking to downtown shops and sights was a breeze. Superb location near private residences and wooded bike trails. Recommend.

Our room was horrible-nothing like the illustration for the booking showed. Down an unlighted stairway to a long, dim and narrow basement hallway. Window: looked onto a brick wall. Microwave and coffee maker: nope (no way to get coffee until a tiny breakfast counter -sparse and cold- opened at 7:30). Bathroom from the 1940s so small it was impossible to turn around. The staff was helpful, but it didn't overcome our disappointment. Worst hotel experience in many years of travel.

It's a Joke how small this room was. the full size bed barely fit in the spot for the bed. you couldn't even walk around the bed. you literally had to hop on from the front of the bed. there was zero space to get on the bed from the sides. Then the TV was too small as it was a 30" TV that you had to see from across the room. The bathroom was no different. the door barely missed the toilet as it closed. the whole room was a joke of how poorly planned and sized it was.

The photo provided about the room was deceiving. The room we had was very small and had no balcony. Beware of the photos that Hotels.com provides. That is not the room you're going to get - expect it to be much less than the photo. Besides the very disappointing room and the fact that our TV didn't work, the rest of the stay was fine. The hotel is in a very good location, easy walking to the middle of town. The room was clean and the staff was helpful.

Hotel Durant is lovely. Brian at the desk was knowledgeable and friendly. The continental breakfast included gluten free granola, hard boiled eggs, yogurt juice and coffee. No elevator so be ready to schlep to your room. Short walk to the main gondola at Aspen. Room was large, bed comfortable and shower had great pressure and hot water. Perfect for skiing!

The staff were great. very helpful and nice. The breakfast and simple happy hour offerings were thoughtful as well. My only complaint....the room was extremely small, i think it was less than 100 sq. ft, including the bathroom. We did not even have space for our suitcases/ski gear. They did provide storage for our skis but we were stepping all over our bags. I do think we had an especially small room compared to others. We did not use our car once, walked to dinner, shows and skiing.

Old and need to renovate… The frontdesk guy was good but the white lady is not that nice. If you’re staying at the ground floor you’ll hear widely the people walking around the lobby.

Very friendly and considerate staff. Due to our very early departure (before the official breakfast time), David gave my brother and I some delicious pastry and fruit the night before, so we wouldn't go hungry on the road. Quiet and lovely location within easy walking distance to the hustle and bustle of downtown Aspen. We also enjoyed the clean and practical rooms with good beds.

Visiting family in Aspen. We enjoyed the living room area and we sat near the fireplace for hours. Guest services were excellent. Florencia help me when I was leaving, and I really appreciated her kindness. I have stayed at The Hotel Durant in the past, and I will come again. Kathy

It was a lovely hotel, and our room was terrific. We were able to sit out on the deck and enjoy the evening. It was a great location - everything we needed was within walking distance, and the area is quiet. The only downside is that there is limited parking, but that's typical of Aspen. We got lucky and were able to park in one of the guest spots.

The location was perfect for walking to everything downtown. It sits at the base of a mountain making the views from my balcony breathtaking. The room was the perfect size for just me. The manager was very attentive and friendly. The continental breakfast was convenient for getting the morning started. I would definitely stay here again.
