The staff was nice and helpful. All the exterior door locks were broken. Anybody can get in. Towards the back and near the back entrance were abandoned vehicles with near flat tires, broken out window, expired registrations, ... There were no issues, and it was quiet at night, but if my wife were with me, we would not have stayed.

I travel for a living, and honestly, this could be one of the worst properties I have ever stayed at. The room was not clean, and there was no hot water. I was in town for a conference and needed to iron my clothes and the bottom of the iron was completely black. When I asked for a replacement they brought me one that looked exactly the same. There was a significant gap between the top of the door and the frame (room 233) so you could see into the room from the outside, even with the door closed. The gym is a storage closet with a 20 year old treadmill. Not a good experience. Expedia should not be selling this property.

Upon check in, staff seemed confused; there was garbage piled up at the side entrance and that entrance didn’t lock.. so wasn’t secure. Felt this property was run down and mismanaged. I’ve stayed at many Days inns and had great success. Not this time.

It was unclean, insects smashed in the bathroom and shower. Used Coffee filter left in pot . Sink splatters water when you turn it on. We slept about 4 hrs and left in the middle of the night. Not worth sleeping in such filth

Awful experience. We reserved a room with 2 queen beds, but the beds were full size. The room was dirty and smelly. The shower was disgustingly dirt and very small. The fan in the bathroom was barley working and had to wipe down the mirror many times to be able to shave. It was an awful hotel experience to say the least. Do not stay at this hotel.

So disappointed with Days Inn in Pierre, South Dakota. This place was so disgusting and dirty. There is a horrific smell throughout the hotel as well as in the rooms!! The room had shelves that the screws were ripped out of the walls and barely hanging by the ends of the screws. Only had two towels, no hand towels or wash clothes. The towels were just thrown on the other broken shelf in the bathroom. The bathroom and tub were not cleaned. The toilet had pee and stains all over the seat and under the seat. There was huge chunks in the bathtub with stains in the tub and all over the shower curtain. The floor was not swept. The carpet in the hallway has not been cleaned or vacuumed there was used towels up and down the hallways on the floor along with pieces of food. Breakfast was limited to apple or biscuits. We have stayed at this establishment for over 24 years but now the current owners have completely destroyed this place and we will never stay here again!!

Absolutely nasty. Just walking into the lobby you get a terrible impression. The doors are so dirty I didnt want to touch the handles. The man barely speaks English and then makes a copy of your DL. The parking lot had people staying in it in a camper. The hallway hadnt been vacuumed. Walls were filthy and all of this was before we even got to our room. Only had to 2 towels for 3 guests. Sink didnt drain. Bathroom was dirty, floor was so sticky throughout the room your shoes stuck to it. No smoke alarm there were pieces to one... Yuck

This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. I have seen cleaner outhouses or truck stops When walking to our room the hallways were littered with garbage including rotting food chicken bones etc. The smell was terrible. Once we got to our room opened the door and were greeted by swarming flys everywhere and other weird bugs The walls and floors were filthy with who knows what on them This place was beyond anything I have ever seen and should be knocked down or burned. South Dakota heath inspector should pay a visit and no one should stay here Gross

The lobby was clean. There was hot breakfast every morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. Their was mold and pink bacteria growing in the shower. It was hard to figure out how to get a warm shower. The tiles in the bathroom were caving in and close to falling of the shower walls. There were cockroaches, crickets, dirt , and grimy windows in the hallways. At the end of our hallway there was an empty hotel room with the door open. That's where they kept the cleaning cart but the room was also covered with dirty clothes and towels and it smelled like urine.

The rooms looked rough. I asked about another room, because they'd put us in a handicapped room, which we didn't need, but they didn't have another room available for us. Room condition was poor and it had very old appliances and a chipped up bathroom floor. We didn't feel safe, so we left and did not sleep there. The young man at the front dest was quite polite, however.

This property has a lot of work that needs to be done to make it acceptable. We had a kind bed, which was a king mattress the was set on. Queen frame/headboard. The cleanliness was gross. There were hairs in the shower, a used bar of soap was still in the shower, the coffee pot had not been emptied, and the sheets were not cleaned. I would not recommend.

I asked to check in early and the desk check in staff explained that they were very busy but she would call me when the room was ready. She did and was very friendly. What I didn't like was - were I entered was to the back of the motel - by the dumpters. There was garbage on the ground and that area was unkempt. The air conditioner in the room did not cool the room. We went and bought a fan and it made it tolerable. I realize the outside temps were in the upper 90's to 100 but the room should have been cooler. I have had very positive stays at Days Inn when I come to Pierre - this stay was not as well as the others.

When we first arrived they put us in room 105. That thing was an absolute disaster. The beds weren't even the same height nor did they have matching spreads on them. When you sat down on the one bed all it would do is make this huge kaboom every time you got up or down. The doors didn't lock and nothing else worked. So they moved us to room 103 which still had no working air conditioner, every time someone flush the toilet or turn the shower water on it squealed, if you tried to take a shower you would either get scalded or it would go super cold. The so-called fitness center is on the third floor in a very secluded area which is very unsafe for a single woman traveling. There was a lot of people hanging out on the stairs that quite frankly I was just very intimidated to go up and get my exercising done. Not to mention the treadmill was broken because they didn't have the key to it anymore. Clean the rooms better. Make sure the front windows and the lobby are always clean -because that's your first impression. Have the person that runs the front desk make sure they're washing the windows on both sides and the lobby repeatedly during the day.

I think this is the third time I’ve stayed at this property, I know I was just here about 10 days ago. It’s nice and clean, the beds are very comfortable, and it’s right on the main route through town, so it’s easy to find, it’s easy in and out. The people who work here or who are running in the place seem quite personable.

The pictures advertised are NOT what you find in reality. Two different Indian (presumably related to owner) staffers I spoke with did not understand simple questions and could not articulate in a clear and understandle way. The breakfast at 8:15am was old, empty, when I mentioned it to the clerk he stared at me with a blank face. I asked him for a second time will he refill the eggs and he didn't understand...I shook my head and walked away. This facility is run down, managed by a very inexperienced, uncaring staff who care nothing about quality or doing things right. HIGHLY ADVISE not staying here. The exterior is falling apart, the interior is bandaided together, it's very substandard. The floors structurally are unlevel, then as you walk across your floorin your room, you can feel the laminate "squishing" down because the flooring under the laminate is not stable and/or there's debris under the laminate...overall it was disconcerting.

It took 6 hours to get checked in. There was never anyone at the front desk. Just a sign that said "They stepped away, call the following cell phone number..." I called the number and got a "the voicemail box you called is full" message. I left came back a bit later, same thing.

I booked the hotel room late at night. The staff member was very patient and helpful. The room was clean and the breakfast was OK. The bed was comfortable. The reason I didn't give a 5-star is because: 1. The doors were extremely tight, hard to open and close, maybe a little bit fixing is needed. 2. Breakfast could use some improvement adding water, eggs etc. Overall, we slept well and don't mind staying again.

Old website, different prices than what charged. Did reduce cost for dog from 25 to 15 dollars per the website. The room door key system sucked. reset door keys at least 7 times in 4 days. Motel was very clean as was the room. Staff was always helpful with the room keys

Both the check-in & check-out staff were unfriendly & seemed to be bothered by us. The door to the first room we were assigned was warped & the lock broken, if it hadn't been so late at night we would have asked for a full refund & found another hotel. The second room wasn't much better than the first. The door opened with quite a bit of jiggling, the bathroom lights flickered constantly when on. The carpeting in the halls was dirty, in dire need of vacuuming, & the walls crumbling in spots. Would not recommend.

Staff was not accommodating, asked for 2 extra towels( only 2 provided) for 4 people. Was told couldn’t have them til morning. Unacceptable! Also the other room I rented for my parents, had the toilet overflow all over the bath and entry area of the room. Very little assistance was provided, and no compensation or additional accommodation. Will never recommend this property! When I discussed this with the front desk in the morning, an attitude of not their problem was shared and that my expectation was unreasonable.

We drove an extra 35 miles to stay here. Arrived at 3:30 am and had to wait for 20 minutes while a front desk, clerk could be found finally called the phone number I found on a business brochure. The gentleman answered. The phone was very rude. Came downstairs obviously had been sleeping. I realize that times are hard but when you run a 24 hour business, somebody needs to be the front face of it will never stay at a Wyndham property again.

Area around motel not well lit. But we didnt have any problems with our boat or contents. room next to ours looke.d like the door had been kicked in and was not repaired. tv remote did not work and the staff tried to fix it but the fix did not work so we needed to get up to turn on or off the tv. I was not bad but could have been better
