Across recent reviews, travelers describe Roso Guest House as a charming, well-kept boutique stay in Roma Norte with exceptionally friendly, attentive staff and a convenient, walkable location that feels safe and close to great dining and sights.
Many guests highlight spotless housekeeping and comfortable rooms in a beautifully restored building. Breakfast on the rooftop earns frequent praise for quality and warm service, though several note the selection is small; recurring complaints focus on poor sound insulation and early lobby or speaker noise that can disturb sleep. Expect a personable, design-forward guest house, best for travelers who prioritize warm service and style over absolute quiet.

The hotel is new, and the rooms and facilities are in good condition. Breakfast is of good quality, and the breakfast staff were very attentive. However, overall interactions with the rest of the hotel staff were quite neutral, much like the experience as a whole. We stayed in a room on the second floor of the main building, directly above the reception and entrance area. The doors have absolutely no sound insulation, so any noise from below can be easily heard in the room. Guests are required to sign a form outlining the hotel’s rules, which include a quiet period from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. To our surprise, the music in the lobby speakers started playing every day at 7 a.m. I mean… what? I found that extremely disrespectful, as we were woken up by the music every morning. At check-in, we chose the late check-out option, which was confirmed by the hotel manager. Still, on Sunday afternoon we were confronted with the accusation that we had exceeded the check-out time. Our room was also not cleaned on that same day, when we were supposed to have the late check-out. In short, it’s a hotel with decent infrastructure but terrible sound insulation. It was definitely not worth the price. If you’re looking for a more comfortable and peaceful stay, you should look elsewhere.

We had a great stay from start to finish. This is a great small boutique hotel if that’s what you’re looking for. Staff were helpful & friendly (bilingual in English & Spanish). They have 24/7 security to let you in & out of the hotel. Our room was large, clean and decorated well. Free bikes to use were great as well to explore the neighborhood. Included breakfast was small but food available was tasty (coffee, fresh fruit, homemade local pastries, cereal and yogurt). The rooftop terrace was our favorite spot to read, have a morning coffee & relax after exploring Roma Norte. Will definitely be back!

The staff were great! We felt welcomed and well cared for. The facilities were very clean, and the breakfast on the roof was really good. The neighborhood is very safe and it is super convenient to walk to many great places for food, shopping, sightseeing. Getting an Uber is fast and very affordable. I recommend getting a SIM card, they are super cheap, if your phone doesn't work.

First time visiting CDMX and we were so glad we decided to stay at Roso Guest House. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. After exploring the city we would come back to a clean room and fresh towels every day. The hotel itself is well maintained and so cute! Also located in a great neighborhood close to a variety of bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit :)

Beautiful property! Very quiet property and a doorman always there to see you in and out of building. In house breakfast (maybe dinner too?) not lively & limited options. Not a bad thing, just depends on what you’re looking for. Felt very safe entire time. You don’t see staff very often but they communicate via WhatsApp and are very helpful and professional. The person who cleaned our room did an excellent job and organized everything very neatly. Great location near trendy restaurants (average 6-10 min walk).

Hotel is in lovely old mansion beautifully restored. On a quiet street but within a couple blocks of several outstanding restaurants. Staff is one of a kind and felt like family by the end of our stay. Spotless and safe.

This is was an odd hotel. The photos look charming and lovely but it didn’t feel that way when I arrived. Room was nice and clean but my room only had a window to the courtyard and my every move could be watched unless my curtains were drawn. Breakfast on the roof was basic. I could not wait to check out of the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was beautiful, the staff was extremely kind and helpful, and the neighborhood was fantastic. Adriana, on the staff, was a superstar. We so enjoyed meeting and chatting with her!

Excellent stay. The staff are exceptional and their professionalism shines through. Gabriella and Mariana went above and beyond in making our stay a memorable one. Yarik (pardon the potential misspelling) made excellent cocktails and exemplified what good, engaging service looks like. We can't wait to be back!

We had a great stay at Roso Guest House. The rooms are comfortable and the location is perfect for exploring Roma Norte. What really stood out was the breakfast staff — they were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive every morning. Their warmth made the stay feel extra special. Highly recommend!

It was a great hotel- loved everything about it- had to give it a low rating though due to the incredible loudnesss. Spent three nights and didn’t sleep at all- loudest hotel I have ever been to. A+++ location.

Hotel is in lovely old mansion beautifully restored. On a quiet street but within a couple blocks of several outstanding restaurants. Staff is one of a kind and felt like family by the end of our stay. Spotless and safe.

Dining
Breakfast on the rooftop/terrace is frequently praised for quality and the warmth of the breakfast team (often mentioning Lili). Several reviewers note the selection is small or basic rather than extensive.
