Element by Marriott Houston Katy

Four equipment were broken and unusable in the fitness room. Only one treadmill was usable, so I could not use it during my stay.

Very much enjoyed my stay. Room was clean and spacious. Also had a kitchen area with stove, pots, etc. Food options were good around area. Pedro at bar at hotel was so kind and welcoming!

over all the hotel in good, the bed was great the pillows way to soft, bedroom very clean lobby was clean, personnel was attentive and very courteous. The bad was the gym, only one running mill worked out of 4, also one bike working out of two, the gym was clean. the pool was very cloudy with poor maintenance, the patio has many tables that are useless without umbrellas, so no one use them, total waste of a nice patio, the breakfast is TERRIBLE! stayed here 3 nights and same ufle scrambled egg, potatoes that were not eatable, some apples and oranges on a basket, and a trey with old yogurt and nothing really to bother to eat.

I’ve stayed at this hotel at least 5-6 times and it’s always been a favorite go to for the price, comfort and service. But it’s steadily gone downhill and this time the single elevator was broken the entire stay. I heard from others it had been broken nearly 2 weeks or longer. Logging a suitcase and other luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs repeatedly is not what I expect from a Westin property. In other ways it’s also gone downhill- no ice machines, only one set of silverware and one mug in the room, no wine glass, etc. Not sure I will stay here again.

Checking in I was greeted with that there is no water and it will be 3 hours before it will be back on. I was there to attend a graduation that evening. Then day two I was greeted that the elevator was not working so I had to walk up four flights of stairs. Yes my room on the 4th floor. Two day stay and they did not want to give me a discount for the inconvenience that they caused me and my family.

Gym equipment was fairly new but did not work and needed servicing.

The breakfast was not very good. The quality of food was bad.They ran out of plates, food and OJ. The coffee was watery. The gate to the pool locked and would not function with the key card. My wife had to call the hotel to let her back in.

While the hotel facilities are quite nice, rooms were large and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, other aspects were a mess. The elevator broke down and wasn’t repaired during my stay; my guest discovered a bedbug in their room on the final day of the trip and didn’t really get a meaningful resolution. So stay at your own risk?

My family and I are disappointed in this hotel. Before booking this room, I read reviews about the hotel having moldy sheets on the bed. Upon reading these reviews, I assumed these were isolated incidents. However, during my visit, we found that our beds had been made with mold-infested sheets too. If you open the window and then look under the comforter, you will surely see the mold. The hotel staff is surely aware of this issue, but I can't believe they don't value their patrons enough to fix this issue indefinitely. There were some good aspects of this hotel, but sadly the moldy sheets overshadowed our stay.

The room smelled like mold had to keep the window open the whole time. They said my card got declined so made me use a different card then had two pending transactions on my account. Lady at the front was rude

Everything about the hotel was great except for the dirty bed sheets! Doesn’t matter how great the other aspects of the hotel were, cleanliness is everything!

Usually enjoy my stay, but hard-stained showers needs serious remodeling, bed sheets need to be replaced with new cleaner ones and property needs an effective policy as well as staff’s attention for noise complaints; however the staff is still very nice and polite

The staff was great , but there was dirty towels in our room and the fridge went out the 2nd night we were there. The shower was also not the cleanest.

Hotel room was in serious disrepairs. Curtain rod missing and holes on the wall. Missing cabinet handles, black mildew on shower walls, toilet seat completely loose, bathroom water faucet loose and can not keep straight, and body wash soap bottle complete empty. Definitely not worth the price I paid for.

This hotel was very clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was great and lots of choices for everyone. Room was great and A/C worked awesome! Pool area needed a little upkeep, guest should clean up their own trash in my opinion. Looking forward to coming back to this area and hotel.

Window shades did not cover the entire window. Could not get to sleep because of the amount of light coming in from the parking lot. Hotel said they could not switch me to a different room because the property was booked through Expedia and not them.

Super large room with all the amenities-almost full kitchen, large refrigerators/ freezer-even a cooktop! Wine glasses, dishes…free really good breakfast , comfy bed… smart TV with Netflix! All convenient to the hospital where my husband was having surgery—all At a great price!! Highly recommend!

The property and amenities are good in perfect condition and very clean. The only problem is the sofa bed mattress, God this was really damaged and is inhumane to lay down, the springs push. I recommend to change. It could be a great suite because has privacy with the master room aside.

Overall was a great stay. Staff was helpful when needed the only complaint I have is the pull out couch for my kids was extremely uncomfortable. To the point I had to go to Costco and buy foam mats for them to sleep on. If it had been adults we would have asked to be moved for sure.

OMG!!! Gorgeous property! Greeted right away and warmly by the young woman at the desk. She gave us advice and want to go to eat. We entered the ground floor room which we wanted and she provided. And oh my! I traveled quite a bit in Europe and it's like a really upscale Danish Decor room. I didn't realize this was a Marriott bonvoy that they purchased several years ago. Full on upscale refrigerator, Electric stove top, huge room and I mean huge. All upscale flat screen TV super clean. A desk, a couch. Super clean!

Idk if all the rooms come with a kitchenette but mines did and that was amazing. Full dishwasher, stove top, sink, refrigerator, and nice glass tableware to eat on. Everything was very nice. The windows being able to open slightly was also a nice addition. I love fresh air preferably over using the AC and I was able to enjoy having that preference. Only thing I didn’t like was that it didn’t have a full body mirror. I feel like the quality of this hotel deserves a full body mirror. Since I’m short it’s hard to see my full body in a bathroom mirror so that would have been preferred but the experience was still nice. Breakfast was delicious as well!

It was quite and clean but they did not have any mirrors out side of bathroom to use. My room didn’t have a safe.

The check in representative was so bad , unpleasant, bad attitude and on his cellphone while checking us in.

An absolutely remarkable stay. Friendly staff. Exceptionally clean property and rooms. Shopping literally across the street. Just walkover! Satisfied!

Service from front desk was horrible. Room cleaning lady didn't leave bath tissue. We went to the front Desk and asked the Front desk lady. She told I have no tissues, The Manager locks every storage room at 5 and then leaves, so I dont have access to any of the storage to check if there is any bath tissue.That was the answer, no proper response from her. We asked her for detergent in the evening, she simply said, no detergent, we dont keep or sell these here. Next day early morning I went and asked other girl and she told we sell these for one $ each and I bought it. Horrible service, horrible answers, negligence towards customers.

We came back to stay at the Element because of the outstanding customer service we have received during now, our past 3 stays. My daughter is a cancer patient at MDA & Catherine is truly the main reason why we keep coming back to the Element. I wish all employees provided the quality of customer service & care that Catherine does! Catherine should be your ambassador for the Element Hotel…she’s the best!!!

I booked a room that said 2 queen beds and a “double sofa bed”. We got to the room and it was 2 queen beds and a chair. I called the front desk and Sarah said that if we want a pull out couch, we would have to get a room with one King but would have to wait until the next day to see if they had any available because they were completely booked. I told her I would need a double queen and a Sofa bed but she said they don’t have any rooms like that. I called Expedia to try to get a refund to use at a different hotel because I have a family of 5. Expedia called Sara and she told them that we do have a pull out sofa bed. I had to then call her again so I could clarify and she back tracked and said if I do have a pull out couch then maybe I’m doing it wrong and she doesn’t have maintenance to show me how to do it. I felt lied to and Sarah seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered to do her job. She was on her phone when we came in and she didn’t tell me when breakfast was, I didn’t know if there was a password to the WiFi, and she told me to put my card in the card reader without letting me know how much would be put on hold. She told my husband we could talk to a manager the next day which was Sunday. The next day he went to talk to the man at the front desk and he let him know that managers are not available on weekends but he was great and moved us to the room I originally paid for.

Pleasant experience and comfortable stay. Nice, clean rooms. Breakfast was frequently replenished and available to all. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

Got there after 9 hours of driving and was told I couldn’t check in because they were full even though I had a reservation. Had to drive all over Katy to find a room. Told me it wasn’t their problem that I could take it up with Orbitz

Checked in ok. Got to room and called down asking for blankets. Super nice and we waited no blankets. Went out for evening and checked in with same lady in front. She said she believed they had been delivered. Went upstairs, no blankets, called her back she seemed irritated we called and hung up abruptly stating they’d be there. Dog barking next room over, not sure why they would place non dog and dog stay in same area. Needless to say no blankets super cold no sleep won’t be back. No matter how nice or clean a place is if you can’t address service issues and people can’t sleep you should not be open..

Clean, comfortable and safe. Convenient to I-10 and Grand Parkway.

The property was very nice and met our needs. The proximity to all of the items we needed and wanted to visit, was a plus!

Love the accessibility of this area with Katy Asia town minutes away and plenty of food and shopping options nearby. Hotel is spacious and has everything you’d need and was super clean.

I liked it for one night it had everything you needed. However the breakfast was terrible, hard overcooked eggs, hard potatoes, very messy amd sloppy around the breakfast area very disappointing because i was looking forward to it, other than that it was fine

Breakfast Buffet was ice cold all three mornings. Plug in restroom did not work.

The only two gripes i have was that the shower curtain liner was dirty and the breakfast was subpar but the rest was great.

Everything was okay! Just the elevator 1 cracks kinda hard when going up from level 1, it sounds and feels scary. Definitely will recommend to do some maintenance there. I stayed there for a week, and the breakfast is always the same, nothing new. Eggs from a box, sausages, fruit pan cakes. Could have more variety.

I enjoyed that it was close to what i needed and there was ample parking. I hated the breakfast options. there is literally nothing to eat. i was so disappointed at the fact that we had to wait for over 20mins to get clean plates and silverware.
