It was okay, we had to switch rooms after we had completely unpacked due to fact that they had Internet TV and there was absolutely no service to connect. Both rooms had a smell to them. They advertised a bar and restaurant onsite, but the lobby bar was permanently closed and the restaurant didn't really appear to be open. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone besides for the convenience of being near the airport.

I’ve stayed here several times when I have an early flight out of Miami International Airport. It is incredibly close to the rental car return, which is a big plus for me. The room is comfortable and adequate. There has been some remodeling done, but in the bathroom, it appears to just be some caulk and paint and that won’t last long The first several times I stayed there the parking was free, which thrilled me. I was surprised that I had to pay $28 for parking this time. I guess that’s the way it’s going to be in the future.

We arrived late in the evening after our canceled flight and it didn’t appear that the air conditioning was working in the lobby. It was very musty smelling, and upon arrival to our room on the second floor the door had gaps all the way around the border and the unconditioned hallway And dampness was leaking into our room. The floor of the room was very damp and the air conditioner on high did not take out any of the moisture.

We only stayed one night but it went really well. On check in I asked for a room with a view of the airport and they set us up with a 4th floor balcony room that was great for spotting planes. I would stay here again. You do have to pay for parking but that seems to be the norm for Miami.

The customer service is terrible. Never had such experience in any other Sonesta. The front desk doesn’t pick up even after calling 20 times. We were party of four and they gave us 2 towel. We had to go downstairs to ask for towel. The room service guy was rude and hung up the phone while you are talking.

What a nightmare! The customer service at this hotel is horrible. I had an issue with parking at the hotel; I parked my rental car in a spot for 15 minutes to unload and check in (with assurance from front desk that it would NOT be an issue). Several weeks later I got a notice of a hefty fine from the rental car company for a parking violation. Ever since, I’ve been trying to get in touch with hotel management to help me resolve this costly error but have had zero response to phone calls,— they do not answer the phone, ever— emails, or online inquiries. Even with the help of corporate guest relations, I could not get through to the hotel. It is incredible and frustrating how unresponsive they are. I can’t figure it out. If anyone responds to this, please share contact information that I will actually be able to use to get through to someone

Supposedly, Breakfast was offered 7am to 11am went downstairs to eat at 9:30am, eggs, bacon, potatoes trays completely empty, no creamer for "COLD" COFFEE, about 5 pieces of pastry left, looks like a hungry crowd ran through the area, I was told trays will not be replenish. Very indifferent staff. Front desk was no better. I had a question about my room and one of the "managers" (as he identified himself) was so rude I was muted. Check in line took me 45 mins (there were so many people that the line was out the front door) with only one staff person checking guests in. After 40 mins another staff came to help with a "be thankful Im here" attitude. WON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

Our experience at the hotel was disappointing due to poor communication and service from the front desk staff. With the exception of Omar, the maintenance supervisor—who was extremely helpful and communicative—the front staff offered little to no information and were generally unresponsive to our concerns. We encountered several issues during our stay. Our group had five rooms, and all of us repeatedly experienced problems with our key cards not working, requiring multiple trips to the front desk for resets. The shower heads had very low water pressure, and it took an unusually long time for the hot water to come on. In one of the rooms, the air conditioning didn’t work at all. Despite reporting the issue several times over a span of three days, it wasn’t resolved until the day before we checked out. Omar eventually stepped in and arranged to have the AC unit replaced, as no alternative rooms were available due to the hotel being fully booked. On a positive note, the housekeeping staff were excellent—friendly, thorough, and very clean. However, the lack of professionalism at the front desk overshadowed the good parts of our stay. Additionally, I had a negative experience at the on-site restaurant. When I tried to place an order, the staff were rude, so I chose to leave and eat elsewhere. Overall, while some staff members like Omar and the housekeeping team stood out for their service, the poor customer service at the front desk and restaurant made the stay frustrating.

Fish place across the street was world class seafood with a non-pretentious atmosphere. Hotel breakfast buffet was not bad. But the eggs were dried out and the bacon under cooked and the coffee weak. Far better than what you get as complimentary breakfasts. But for $27 ea it was below expectations.

The breakfast was awful. It was cold with several items missing. The waffle machine was out of service all dirty and the dough spilled around the table falling off the machine because they didn’t have a container to put the dough to the machine. This breakfast offered as part of the reservation was very expensive for the quality offered.
