Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Portland Airport - Cascade Stn by IHG

Very clean, like new property. Not far from Cascade Station shopping and dining, though not quite walkable. Decent, typical Holiday Inn breakfast. Large lobby. Very professional staff at check in. Indoor pool. No hot tub. Again, very clean and new. Highly recommended.

Hated that I had to pay for parking

Safety- all doors to property were locked at all times including the front door

Wonderful hotel and staff.The original hotel we were planning to stay at was charging $55 a night for parking! We had stayed at this Holiday Inn when flying out of PDX so I checked with them. Parking included, EV charging included (Tesla destination charger so do need adapter). We also received room turnover each night! They also have parking if you are flying out after your stay and hotel shuttle! Our favorite hotel in Portland!!

My stay was short but i needed a couple of things that most hotels provide, i needed to be picked up at the airport but since it was 11:10 pm the shuttle quit running at 11pm .so i had to pay $40 for a mile and a half ride to the hotel . I would have just kept my rental car but the hotel charges their guests to park a car overnight. I asked for a shuttle ride to the airport at 3:30 am for my flight was at 5 am but the shuttle didn't start til 4 am .so i had to get a ride with lyft . Lesson learned. I will never stay at this hotel again. I've always had good services from Holiday Inn express, but it seems that this one would rather charge their guest for every dime they can get out of them .

The hotel was great! Excellent Oregon craft beer at the little store. I’m glad they had a water bottle fill station and recycling! Thanks! But all the EV chargers were only for Tesla’s——grrrrrr—what about the rest of us who need universal chargers?

Clean, updated rooms, decent breakfast, EV charging stations in the parking lot.

The property was nice. Rooms and common areas were clean, and the room itself was very comfortable. Hotel breakfast had a nice variety. The one downside was the advertised airport shuttle. On the hotels.com site, it just says shuttle (no specific hours), but apparently it only runs until 11pm. So, when I arrived at 11:05, I ended up having to take an Uber to the hotel. even on the corporate website, the shuttle hours are buried a few pages down - not obvious, or easy to find.

Nice airport hotel with good-sized swimming pool and well-maintained fitness center. Free breakfast was good too!

Heated pool was freezing most of the time. There were never towels stocked in the pool room. We had to go to front desk every time and one of them was rude. The planes were unbelievably loud - when we stayed at another hotel, directly next to the airport, we could hardly hear the planes. Here, it sounded like we were outside sitting next to them when they took off or landed!

The hotel had an overpowering air-freshener scent throughout the building which was unpleasant (so much so that we had to switch rooms, though it was still somewhat noticeable where we slept). We also booked this hotel so our kids could swim but the pool's heater had broken so the water was freezing. The breakfast was also mediocre. Not the best stay we've had.

Elevators had a terrible odor.

Felt very safe in this location. Very clean and well kept up hotel as well as the room. You can definitely hear the planes at all hours but I did expect that considering how close in proximity it is to the airport. We chose this hotel for the convenience plus the fact that every Holiday Inn Express we have visited has normally been great. We would stay here again.

The room had a “funky” smell and needed a good cleaning in the bathroom.

Easy check in but when we get to our room we call them to fix the TV as its not working. They moved us to another room. Its okay but some molds on the bathroom. Specially in the shower area. Everything else is OK

I like that the hotel is close to everything. But the cleaning was from 1 to 10 about 4. I had to wash the shower, sink and toilet.

There was at least one morning when the food was scarce well before the end of the serving time (however, there should be the same options during the entire serving times). It seemed like someone mis-calculated how many guests were in the hotel and didn't prepare enough of the hot menu items (meat, eggs, gravy and biscuits). The bed was quite comfortable. The day we checked in, we did find crumbs on the floor near the bed and a large chunk of a granola bar on the floor under the sink in the bathroom.

The room was comfortable. It was very near the airport so noisy from the planes taking off and landing. The toilet paper was not soft, it was scratchy, and harsh against sensitive skin.

Room was spacious and well designed.

The property was as clean and the breakfast was extensive (we are talking omelettes, sausage gravy and warm cinnamon rolls) but I won’t be returning to this property. While a relatively new hotel, NEITHER of the USB charging ports by the bed in room 208 were in working order, which I discovered when I fell into bed dead exhausted from several international flights and a 1am check-in. I made this discovery immediately following having showered and unpacked, so it was far too late to move rooms and I was unable to charge my phone overnight. It died and I missed an important meeting the next morning. The bored and disinterested staff person at the front desk that night (who should have been home in bed and not manning the front desk with a case of the sniffles) did little to inspire my confidence that the situation would be made right. If the slightly more competent employee I spoke with the next morning surprises me, and they get back to me within 24 hours with any sort of reasonable compensation for the inconvenience of it all, I will edit this review to reflect such. If not, know that even at $200 /night, this hotel is “hit and miss.” I need my amenities in my room to be functional. There were two USB ports provided. They couldn’t BOTH have broken between guests. It shows poor management and disrespect for one’s guests to leave them in such a state of disrepair. They earned one star each for their breakfast and high cleanliness.

There are a lot of shopping and dining options nearby, maybe not quite a walk, but short drive. The only complaint is we could hear all the airplanes and they woke us up. Not at the fault of the hotel.

Very clean, great customer service, nicely stocked pantry, clean pool, and some restaurants within walking distance. The only minor issue with the hotel is that the TV service was a little outdated (can’t stream from your device to the TV or rent movies).

King bed was short. I'm 5'11" and had to either sleep diagonally or with my head basically against the headboard to keep my feet from hanging over the edge a little while sleeping on my stomach. My room was apparently near a commonly used exit, which made for a lot of noise beginning around 6 a.m.

Friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast and overall our stay was comfortable.

Checked in and then returned the rental car to the airport terminal. Hotel shuttle never came to get me despite calling 2x. After an hour gave up and took an Uber back to the hotel. Young man at desk apologized but said he was alone and could not come and get me! Severely understaffed, this person was the only employee I saw for the rest of the night. Bad management.

Staff was very friendly & helpful.

Convenient to airport, but staff seemed uninterested in helping. Room was small wirh even smaller bathroom. It was fine since it was only a short stay to catch early flight. But underwhelming.

This is one of our go-to hotels. Comfortable, quiet, clean. It is near the airport and some stores. Easy access to highway.

Excellent location, walkable to shopping area with restaurants. Hotel well kept and clean.

The location was perfect 5 minutes to the airport, and there were plenty of dining and shopping area in walking distance. The hotel did serve an amazing complimentary breakfast, they also have a laundry room which was perfect, we didn't have to carry our dirty clothes home.

Nice hotel close to the airport and public transportation to downtown Portland.

We enjoyed our stay here. It is so conveniently located near shopping, restaurants and the airport. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was ample parking too. I would definitely book here again on my next trip to Portland.

It was a very clean, comfortable hotel with kind and helpful front desk staff. Very good eating options nearby, though I was able to walk in daylight. I heard the area isn't the greatest in terms of safety.

Breakfast service was terrible. They constantly were out of food and plates. And it would take until the breakfast was over for them to replenish it. Also loud neighbors And temperature in the hotel lobby and hallways was very hot.

This hotel is modern, clean, and the free breakfast is worth it all! Biscuits and gravy, omelets, oatmeal, bagels, cinnamon rolls, cereal, etc.

The free breakfast was great (options) but the refilling of the foods (when it was empty/finished) was kind of slow. The communication of how long it will take to refill was also not very good. We were there around 9am. They only refilled the pork sausages once during that time and it wasn’t even a full tray. Keep in mind that there were others waiting aside from my family of 5.

My only suggestion is open up breakfast earlier since there are so many people that need to head to PDX before 6 am
