Check in was kind of slow. Only one lady working and the phones were ringing off the hook. It went ok afterwards. There’s not a lot of parking on the main level. We went to get on the elevator to go upstairs and there was no response from the elevator. I went to tell the lady at the front desk and she says again…? This was just the first night. I won’t be back. I had high hopes and they were quickly let down.

The hotel was great. All the staff was friendly and helpful whenever we needed something. Only thing I was disappointed in was they didn’t have any washer and dryers for the guests to use. Not a deal breaker but traveling with kids you never know when you might need to do a quick wash on clothes in an emergency. Other than that we would be glad stay here again.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. The breakfast was better than expected. Our state was during March and the pool was heated and perfect temperature.We really had a great time. The only reason I did not give a five star review was because of the parking situation. If getting back to the hotel later it was difficult to find a parking spot that would fit a midsize truck. They were plenty of spots available but only for compact cars. The lower level of the parking structure was almost unusable for a large SUV or midsize truck. We did find usable parking everyday, it just took a little effort. More effort than wanting to after a busy day.

Hotel was near the end of the busy strip but a perfect location. Close enough to everything. The pool was a little small and always cloudy water, we decided not to use it for these reasons which was a bummer because it is hot there. There was an odd smell when we got off the elevator on the second floor but the smell stayed in the hallway and our room did not smell. Minor imperfections throughout the hotel but overall for the price I would stay there again. Parking is a little odd, they need to tell you about their little parking garage upon arrival. It is scary as hell the first time you go down into it. But once you do it once you’re good. The staff all seemed kind but housekeeping barely spoke English. Breakfast was nice, nothing to brag about but it was a nice spread for being included. We stayed 5 nights and the beds were good to us. Very comfortable and my sides weren’t hurting by the second night like some other places I’ve stayed at. The little balcony was a nice touch. We enjoyed sitting out on it after a long hot day while the kids watched tv in the room. Overall it is worth it for the price. I’d stay here again. I was traveling with my husband and children.

This hotel is very clean, second time we have stayed. Not to be negative, has one elevator towards rear of building, mornings that can be a little difficult with all the people coming and going, I took stairs 3 flights up 3 or 4 times due to waiting for elevator. Staff is friendly and weekday prices are very reasonable, as most hotels Friday and Saturday night increase dramatically.

The property itself was fine. Libby was nice and fresh towels were brought to our room daily. They also took out our trash everyday. Breakfast was nice with tons of selections. The staff were kind but I mentioned more than once that the coffee maker in my room wouldn’t stay closed and nothing was done about it all week. There’s mildew growing in the caulk around the tub. Though the cleaning people did a great job unfortunately there was a large nail clipping on the floor against the wall next to the bed and a nasty odor in the room at all times. I believe it was coming from the A/C unit

We checked in late. Got settled in. Noticed bugs on ceiling ( lady bugs, stink bugs). Cleaned them up but they really kept coming in from the balcony door cracks. I cleaned about 30-40 up. Called the front desk to get a new room, the room they wanted to move us to was worse than ours with probably at least 50 lady bugs, stink bugs, and spiders on the ceiling. They offered nothing else. The next morning when checking out we got a sorry and promise to send up maintenance- like that helps us at all at this point. We stayed here in the past and didn’t have problems. But I doubt we will risk this again. Just beware that if there is a problem with the room, they will not make it right.

We're a repeat customer. This is one of the friendliest hotels we have stayed at. The breakfast staff are amazing and extremely helpful and personable. The rooms are very clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job of keeping our rooms stocked with supplies.

We reserved the one of the rooms with the loft...a king bed downstairs and a queen upstairs...for a trip to a wedding with my husband's sister. The separate sleeping areas provided privacy for changing clothes and was just the perfect room for us. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and that area was very well-maintained. We had a very comfortable stay!

Beds extremely comfortable...loved pillows. Room very clean and we loved the patio. Staff super nice....clean public areas. Lived the bathroom. Nice updated property. Parking a bit difficult, but staff accommodating and lets ypu park on grassy area as overflow.. Door slammers not a fan of...if not full would be nice if they spread customers out so to minimize door slamming noises.

I would have given a 5 star review but you can not sleep past about 8am. The rooms not only are very bright but this is the loudest hotel ive stayed at. People walking by, the elevator and doors are sooo lound through your door. Once everyone else is up and about do are you. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the staff was friendly.

Everything was good. Breakfast was great and view of river was excellent. The doors on the room on the other hand were not fitted correctly for the door. They had tried to fix the doors with a rubber strip to close gap…. But unfortunately the halls are right in your room it sounds like. You can hear everything that happens in the hall abnormally loud.

We had a loft room which was nice and spacious. Staff was really friendly and accommodating. Hot coffee and hot chocolate available 24/7. Cons: linen dated and pilllow cases had stains, pillows themselves have no "fluff". Brealfast area is very small and you have to wait awhike to get a seat or just take it vack tonyour room. Also runs out of some breakfast items every day: milk, eggs, original waffle mixture. Staff very apologetic. Close to Tangier Outlet, Dolly Stampede, Dollywood, a variety of restaurants and attractions. Overall, great location and price for thr room.

Jennifer at the front desk is fantastic!! Helped me when I double booked. The room was a great surprise. Large spacious, and loved the hot tub (used almost every night). I can't complain. A noisy neighbor @2am, 1 night but it wasn't the hotels fault. Area is super tourist but felt safer in this hotel's location than others right by the Island. You think BW and you're like it's going to be hit or miss right? .. well this one is a hit!! Will def return!?

The property is nice but we had a lot of issues. We arrived early so we asked when the room would be ready we were told by 4:00, we came back at 4:30 and they said the room still wasn’t ready for check in. The front desk receptionist told us 15-20 more minutes max and they were working on the room right now. 45 minutes pass after sitting in the lobby we asked again and were told by another lady that they just started on the room and it would be another 30 minutes. Eventually after being told different things, 3 different times we finally got in our room after 6:00. They discounted the room but it was a massive headache. If the employees would have been honest from the beginning we would have just went and enjoyed time until it was ready but we kept getting told lies instead. Once we got in a room, the tv didn’t work, wouldn’t even turn on, they didn’t have any open rooms to switch us to. Very disappointed! I had high hopes for this location but will not be returning to this hotel.

The attendant at the front desk did not pay attention to what should have been charged. I paid my deposit the morning of the date I was due to check in, prior to my arrival. At check in, my card was swiped for the full amount. Instead of refunding the difference, the transaction was canceled. Then, the correct amount was charged twice. This caused my bank to hold all of my vacation funds for the entire duration of my stay in Pigeon Forge. I was traveling with all four of my children, 8 hours away from home. The General Manager was also no help. The best he could come up with was to call my bank for me. Even after I explained that they wouldn’t discuss MY account with him over the phone. And, that I had been on the phone all morning, getting the only answer they could give. It was on the merchants end. One careless employee took what would have been a nice trip, and caused more stress than I ever could have imagined. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I walked in to the lobby around 7 pm & the man working the front desk was counting cash. I said hello and he said “just a minute” and then I stood there until he finished, and then he acknowledged me. I checked in and got our room keys, but when we got up to the room it was still a mess from previous guests. I went back down to the lobby & no one was there. About 5 minutes later the man came in from outside with a fast food bag. I told him about the problem with the room, and he said he could see about getting the room cleaned, but it would take a while. Otherwise we could wait and see if someone coming later canceled and then we could have one of those rooms. We were able to secure a room at the holiday inn express nearby, so I told him I would like to get a refund. Between his attitude - he seemed like he couldn’t have cared less about us from the very beginning - and the dirty room, it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had.

The check in was absolutely horrible. We had just got back from a long day at Dollywood, and when we got to the hotel, there was two people who looked like they had been waiting a very long time. The man at the front desk seemed to not know what he was doing. When the guy ahead of me finally got up to the desk it was 20 minutes and he still wasn’t checked in. Thank God another man came up and was able to help me in about three minutes. The other man was still there trying to get a room, it was ridiculous. Two of my family members ended up coming to check on me at two different times. When entering the room, a couch cushion was flipped up that was completely ripped and torn up and had stains all over it after just being told at the Front Desk that if there’s any damage to the room, our credit card would be charged (obviously, but is anybody going to address the damage that is already here)? Bunkbed railings were broken, twisted and falling off. Luckily our children are older and didn’t have to rely on the railings. Stains all over the couch bed mattress, really disgusting. The shower was not fully cleaned and neither was the sink. Our sheets were put on upside down and the comforter, so I wonder if they ever even got cleaned or just flipped around. The tag on the comforter was so absolutely disgusting. It was completely in a hard ball. Towel had stain on it and there was marks coming down from the light switch in the bathroom. I really don’t know if the room was ever cleaned.

We made a reservation for the July 4th weekend. After texting with them the day before, the hotel cancelled our reservation without notice. We arrived at the hotel after an 8.5-hour drive, to no room and they were sold out. The front desk agent was rude and completely unapologetic. I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Apple Valley Lodge in Pigeon Forge, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming — exactly what you hope for during a getaway. One of the best parts of this hotel is its fantastic location. There are lots of attractions nearby, making it easy to explore the area without long drives. From shows and shops to family-friendly activities, everything is just minutes away. Plus, there are plenty of great restaurants close by, which made dining out super convenient. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely return. If you’re visiting Pigeon Forge and want comfort, convenience, and great service, Best Western Plus Apple Valley Lodge is an excellent choice!

We were in Pigeon Forge during some sort of modified car weekend, so the room with the balcony was nice to watch the traffic coming down the strip. Check in and out were easy. Breakfast was great. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Our only issue was the elevator. It’s a decent sized hotel and there’s only one elevator, so it can be a bit of a pain when you’re on the 4th or 5th floor. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area.

Breakfast was terrible with no healthy choices. The hallway carpeting smelled of cigarettes & the swimming pool.The smell is breathtaking! The hotel isn’t handicap friendly at all in any area. I had a handicap person with me. With this being said, the worst thing is the parking lot in the back. There were several lights in the parking lot & none of them worked. You are left in a very dark parking lot. Dangerous to walk around in & the parking is tight…..with NO LIGHTS WORKING! Not safe in any stretch of the imagination. I will never be back under any circumstances. Terrible! Terrible! Terrible!

Just a couple suggestions. The way room is setup toilet and tub are is separate room with sink in bedroom. There is a framed lighted mirror that was very dim. Hard to apply makeup. There were lights in ceiling over sink; however, the entire room was on one switch. If you used the ceiling light it woke up entire room. Also, please invest in some heavier coffee cups. The ones you have are so thin you can’t hold onto them and there were no sleeves offered. We got to where we used two cups per cup of coffee after we burned our hands trying to get coffee from breakfast area to our room!

property is right on the main drag, so parking is tricky. limited spaces to park on main level.....continental breakfast was difficult for the waffle lovers, only one waffle machine and gravy was super watered down along with the juices. Total breakfast let-down....up-side room was very clean once we were able to get checked in.

Second stay at his hotel for a family trip to the Smoky Mountains. Overall good hotel. Good location with no safety concerns. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable other than it seemed to hold a bit of humidity making things feel damp. Breakfast was good but seating area can get overcrowded. Would definitely stay here again.
