4 days. We were treated to an early check in and a late check out. They held our bags free of charge on check out until we collected them late in the afternoon. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No breakfast was included and limited choices in lobby for food. Location was great. Close to max lines and some buses to get around.

Overall, very satisfied with our stay. Staff was very welcoming and helpful in the answering of various questions and concerns. Property was very well-kept, and clean. Truly have nothing bad to say about our stay, however, note; there is no self parking on the premises. Either pay 50-60$ for valet, or put your vehicle on the street. We lucked out and were able to park on the street for free due to the times and day of the week. So many good spots for food around the hotel.

The AC Marriott Downtown is a solid hotel with an EXCELLENT staff. The lobby, bar, and rooms are clean and tidy. I was initially disappointed to find our rooms right off of the elevators (ugh!), but was pleasantly surprised by the soundproofing of the doors. Not thick enough to block the boisterous evening conversation of our next door neighbors when they came in for the evening, but I did NOT hear the elevator dinging or opening and closing all night. Definite plus! It’s only a couple of blocks from the light rail and bus stops, so it’s super-easy to get anywhere in town. Each room has a mini fridge and coffee maker, and there is a communal microwave in the lobby. The Luc Lac Vietnamese Kitchen around the corner is dynamite. I’m docking a star just for general wear-and-tear of general small things and not-awesome bathroom toiletries. The toiletry holder in our shower was broken (not a big deal), and the conditioner was…not conditioning. (I thought the AC properties were supposed to have Korres products?) I’m not trying to be snobby, but I usually love Marriott toiletries, and therefore don’t pack my own, and it’s an unpleasant surprise to have crazy hair because the toiletries are bunk. But considering that is the harshest criticism I have for this hotel, I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others! Solid 4-4.5 stars out of 5!

Enjoyed my overall experience here. The parking is very inconvenient though. The closest parking is either the parking garage across the street, which is $48, or valet parking, which is $49, or pay-at-the-meter parking. Either way you had to pay quite a bit for overnight.

Plus: - Nice furnishings and decor in the room - Solid location...walkable to tons of restaurants and shopping options - Smooth check in and check out Minus: - No parking other than $49/day valet is always going to be a dissatisfier...nearby third-party parking options seem to have security issues - No onsite dining made departure breakfast more of a hassle for us

The hotel’s location is very convenient when visiting downtown. There’s shopping and dining within walking distance as well as a short Uber ride. The problem is the rooms aren’t very clean. There was mold in the shower corners, bed sheets are very thin, old and mattress protector was stained. Everything showed through the sheets. My wife washed the floor with a bath mat and it was gross. It wasn’t like any AC property we had ever stayed at. Service was a different quality and it was the reason we stayed, everyone was very courteous, polite, friendly and attentive. Bar offers several non alcoholic beers so we were able to mingle and socialize without having to order alcohol. The food we ordered was very bad. I wouldn’t recommend anything from the restaurant, Uber eats instead. Overall it’s a nice hotel with cleanliness issues. If they paid attention to the basics it could be 10/10

Overall, everything as great but the bathroom wad disgusting. Mold in the shower, dusty, toothpaste splatter on the wall, urine stains on the wall by the toilet. Told the front desk and they just said sorry. When waiting for valet a homeless person walked by and the front desk clerk asked for help to remove the man and the c CC alert said not my job.

Over all good. However, I did find a stain on the top comforter and some long black hairs in my towels. I was not looking for anything in return but just wanted to let them know so they would change the comforter. It did smell nice in my room. I let front desk know about it and they did show concern. Overall good stay.

This is a great hotel in a good location with lots to do within walking distance. The only issue I had really was that there is zero way to move the air in the room. No opening windows and no fan. Not even in the bathroom. Also just be prepared for using a bathroom with a sliding door that doesn’t lock or provide much, if any privacy.

Nice room, nice shower, great water pressure, very walkable convenient location and close to transit options if walking isn’t for you. Staff was nice and rooms were pretty well soundproofed. Mattresses could be a lot comfier but I’d consider staying here again.

check in was unfriendly / tried to tell us only 1 key per room, though we had 2 rooms and 4 adults. pushed back and got the keys, but what? bathroom was very unprivate. weird glass walls that let light into room if had to use bathroom in middle of the night. strange AC plugs. awkward HDMI input on top of wall mounted TV with big sign showing where... hotel just didn't have an inviting feeling.

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights and three days during my trip to Portland, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Here are the major issues I faced during my stay: Poor Housekeeping: The room was not cleaned even once during the stay, despite daily housekeeping being a standard expectation at any hotel. No Room Service or In-Room Communication: There was no room service available, and we were unable to call the front desk from our room. For any assistance, we had to physically go down to the lobby, which was extremely inconvenient. Mishandled Food Delivery: Before ordering food via Uber Eats, I called the front desk to confirm the process. Alan from the reception assured me I could have food delivered and pick it up from the lobby. However, when we arrived, the food was missing. We have photo evidence showing the delivery was made in the lobby. The hotel staff denied receiving it and refused to take any responsibility. We suggested checking security footage to trace what happened to the order, but this was dismissed. Key Card Issues: Our room key stopped working both days. We had to return to the front desk multiple times to get it reissued, which was frustrating and unnecessary after long travel days. The lack of cleanliness, poor communication, mishandled food delivery, and unprofessional behavior from the staff made the experience thoroughly disappointing. I do not recommend this hotel and hope management addressesthis

I recently stayed at the AC Hotel in Portland. My third visit to Portland and my first stay at this property. Will DEFINITELY stay here again. Loved the Slab!! When closed, it just looks like a decorative piece of wood on the wall. When the windows are open it turns into a great coffee bar with barista. Employees were wonderful and I loved the carton water in the mini fridge. Very clean and very reasonable rates. Nothing negative to report. I didn’t try room service. I ordered a delicious burger from Killer Burger and walked 900 feet down the street for pick up. Delicious!

The hotel itself is nice but had some issues. First I was not given the room I booked. They said they were oversold on that type of room so had to wait until the next day to get that room, so there was the hassle of moving my room. Also parking if very expensive so having to find other parking at reasonable rates is another inconvenience. 3rd, watch your bill because due to an error my bill was almost double. The front desk agent said it was because of a refundable deposit being added which didnt sound right to me as the numbers still didnt add up. He was quite adamant about it. Only at the very end he said he would get the manager who fixed the error. Didn't enjoy having to argue about the bill. No compensation for the hassle of moving rooms. They treat you second class for booking thru expedia instead of them. The service at the buffet was great though and manager was nice. Not sure Id come back though due to these issues.

Stay was overall great, only two negatives. First was a sticky patch on the nightstand from a glass and the second was the amount of time to retrieve my car from valet. I was told to text and would be 10 to 15 minutes to get my car. Ended up being almost an hour and I am sure it would have been longer had I not asked when it was coming. The hotel is in a good walkable location, king bed with a couch meant my room was comfortable and spacious, and the decor is fresh and new. Overall for the price I was really happy with AC Marriot but the valet would have been better if it wasn't $49 a night, considering the wait to get my car and I didn't need the in/out privileges.

There is a serious homeless problem in the area. The staff managed to keep them from the front of the property but you cannot walk half a block without stumbling over someone in a blanket.

Excellent location for access to transport (airport, Moda Center, Providence Park, buses to East Portland). The area felt safe. Staff was friendly and helpful, allowed to check-in a bit early. On early arrival or departure you can store your baggage at the hotel.

Service was great, room was wonderful. Only thing I could complain about is the breakfast spread. Definitely not worth $15 each so if you stay here just walk down to Drip Drop coffee and get some real food for the less. Everything else was great, valet service was $50 for overnight which I don’t think it too bad at all.

We only stayed one night. Hotel always had a line to get in the elevators. Ate at the bar downstairs and there was only one server so it took forever no fault of hers. She should have had help. It was way too much. Drink was bad I couldn’t even drink it and the food was mid at best.

The hotel is clean and modern. The room is perfect except foe the noisy fridge. However the service is not as expected. Paid for breakfast and at 830 the first day they were already cleaning up and the assortment was limited. Second dat there was not even breakfast. I am still waiting for the promised breakfast.

Restroom in room was not cleaned after we had requested it be cleaned; had to ask a second time. Then, on last day, breakfast was supposed to open at 6:30 am. By 6:40 am, still had not opened. We asked front desk what was going on. They checked and said they had been unaware attendant did not report in to work. At 7:10 am they put a sign up saying “closed today.” That was unacceptable they didn’t know their own staff wasn’t there; instead, guests had to tell them. No contingency plan. Unacceptable for the Marriott brand! We had prepaid for breakfast. It took nearly half an hour for them to process the refund. Won’t recommend and won’t be returning.

The hotel was super clean - the only bad experience was breakfast on Saturday. We arrived down around 9AM and there was hardly any food left, there were dirty dishes everywhere, no clean silverware, no glasses for water, yet we were still charged $15 a plate. Very disappointing for a Marriott.

Food options on weekend very poor because the hotel coffee shop was closed all weekend making it necessary to pay full breakfast buffet price if you just wanted something small. Nearby businesses all closed on Sunday nearby as well. A/C on entire floor broke down and we had a very hot night one night and had to move rooms the next morning.
