What a gem of a cave hotel! It’s a beautiful hotel in the heart of Goreme. Flowering plants adorn the property. There are multiple terraces including a rooftop one with spectacular views. The pool is a lovely attraction on a hot day. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The staff arranged transfers and reservations. Ahmet, Omer, and Gunes were kind and helpful. My only complaint is that the transfer company that was arranged for airport picked up made us wait an hour and a half before leaving, and we didn’t arrive to the hotel until midnight with a pre dawn pick up the next day for a balloon ride. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay.

One of the best hotels I ever stayed at! Everything was 10/10. The property is absolutely beautiful, the breakfast every morning was delicious, the staff were amazing, and the views were stunning. I had the room with the private terrace which was nice to spend time there throughout the day. But if you don’t get that room, there are other terrace that you can relax on that are just as beautiful too! Also, this hotel is great for the balloon viewing as well! So many spots on the property that you can watch from. Close to town which was great and not too far uphill (so you don’t have to worry about the walk!). If you want to catch a taxi, the taxi station is about a 5 min walk away

Das Auto kann direkt auf der Straße vorm Hotel geparkt werden. Es wäre schön, wenn der Außenbereich etwas gepflegter wäre. Es wirkte auf uns so, als wenn die Saison abgeschlossen wäre und alles in den Ecken herumliegt. Auch müssten die Terassenmöbel mal wieder gestrichen und die Auflagen erneuert werden. Ebenso sind kleinere Reparaturen im Zimmer notwendig. Aber alles in allem hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The owner and staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The rooftop and the little pool added such a charming touch to the place. Everything about this hotel made my stay 100% enjoyable — I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Central location, close to shops and restaurants. Rooms are big and bathrooms are really good. Hotel staff are lovely and balloons can be seen from the hotel terraces, which is great. I would stay there again.

Loved staying here, came with my 2 daughters, both early 20s, our room was a little smaller than I’d thought, but it was fine as we spent little time in it and the shower was very good and powerful. The pool was great and plenty of terraces to relax in and sample the home grown grapes! Nothing was too much trouble for the host, providing extra towels for us and generally very helpful. Watching the balloons from the terrace was amazing, no need to climb up to viewing point.

I stayed in a suite. It was a real cave in the Cappadocian stone. What an experience! The communal areas, including terraces and the little pool, are well kept, with a lot of greenery, and it was a pleasure to stay there and just chill. It also makes a wonderful location for your pictures at the sunrise when the flying balloons lift. The staff was very kind and helpful, they arranged for me the transfer, the activities, and the flying balloon tour. Little tip: I think it’s a bit less expensive to book the flying balloon on site than online in advance ;)

I had a wonderful stay at Roc of Cappadocia! The cave room that I stayed in was beautiful and clean with an extremely comfortable bed, great shower head and fantastic head/AC. The property is stunning and right in the heart of town. The continental breakfast was delicious with loads of options and Ahmet was a such a great host - he assisted me with my airport transportation and all of the tours around town (highly recommend the red tour of town). The balloon tour was fantastic and I can’t wait to visit again soon!

I think they don’t have nothing more to offer for VIP is a small hotel with wonderful location, all people at the hotel are really nice the only thing that I’m recommended is update the rooms …. Because it is a cave and the rock gives off dust, having more decoration makes you feel that it is not clean. I think they should remove flowers and carpets and it would look more authentic and cleaner since the dust falls from the rock and would be cleaned daily and would not accumulate, especially on the carpet.,

Honestly incredible. It really doesn’t matter if you have a balcony/patio because the whole thing is a balcony! Amazing views from all over. Even with no AC, it stays very cool because the rooms are just small caves (and we were there in the height of summer). You MUST get up at sunrise for photos within the hotel complex. We got better photos right outside our door than we did on an actual hot air balloon.

The continental breakfast was delicious with loads of options and Ahmet was a such a great host - he assisted me with my airport transportation and all of the tours around town (highly recommend the red tour of town). The balloon tour was fantastic and I can’t wait to visit again soon!

We stayed in the junior suite cave room (3d 2n). Overall experience was great. The staff were warm, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast was varied and had a great selection, but it was the same selection as the previous day’s. We couldn’t enjoy the pool because of the season, but it looked very inviting. The room itself, I think, needs ventilation. Some things in the bathroom, were falling apart (shower handle), and I wish the bathroom door fully closes for complete privacy. It was easy to find and walking distance to everything. It offers a great viewing experience of the hot air balloons and the sunset/sunrise viewing spots are like a 10minute walk (uphill). Loved staying here, came with my 2 daughters, both early 20s, our room was a little smaller than I’d thought, but it was fine as we spent little time in it and the shower was very good and powerful. The pool was great and plenty of terraces to relax in and sample the home grown grapes! Nothing was too much trouble for the host, providing extra towels for us and generally very helpful. Watching the balloons from the terrace was amazing, no need to climb up to viewing point.

The pictures often oversell a property, but in this case they were right on the money. The setting was truly beautiful. The location was tucked away yet convenient to shops and restaurants, but the highlight was truly the staff. More than just helpful, they really made us feel at home. We cannot recommend highly enough.

I stayed in a suite. It was a real cave in the Cappadocian stone. What an experience! The communal areas, including terraces and the little pool, are well kept, with a lot of greenery, and it was a pleasure to stay there and just chill. It also makes a wonderful location for your pictures at the sunrise when the flying balloons lift. The staff was very kind and helpful, they arranged for me the transfer, the activities, and the flying balloon tour. Little tip: I think it’s a bit less expensive to book the flying balloon on site than online in advance ;)

One of the best hotels I ever stayed at! Everything was 10/10. The property is absolutely beautiful, the breakfast every morning was delicious, the staff were amazing, and the views were stunning. I had the room with the private terrace which was nice to spend time there throughout the day. But if you don’t get that room, there are other terrace that you can relax on that are just as beautiful too! Also, this hotel is great for the balloon viewing as well! So many spots on the property that you can watch from. Close to town which was great and not too far uphill (so you don’t have to worry about the walk!). If you want to catch a taxi, the taxi station is about a 5 min walk away

There was an overbooking issue at the original hotel I booked and hence a last minute cancellation from the hotel. End up the agent found me the Roc of Cappadocia Hotel and I can’t be happier for our stay. Highly commended. This hotel is clean, spacious with great view at the terrace to overview the hot air balloons. Tour booking is very efficient. Great and friendly services. We even felt genuine welcomed from the hotel owner and staffs that I don’t get from the city chained hotels. The hotel is steps away from town / restaurants / bus stop and very convenient for travelling. Also it’s easy to carry on the route outside the hotel to walk up to the hill (lesser than 10 minutes walk) to see Cappadocia from hilltop. Breakfast could be improved but I wouldn’t complain when weighing the overall score - I still give this hotel 10 out if 10.

We even felt genuine welcomed from the hotel owner and staffs that I don’t get from the city chained hotels. The hotel is steps away from town / restaurants / bus stop and very convenient for travelling. Also it’s easy to carry on the route outside the hotel to walk up to the hill (lesser than 10 minutes walk) to see Cappadocia from hilltop. Breakfast could be improved but I wouldn’t complain when weighing the overall score - I still give this hotel 10 out if 10.

The hotel was near to the sunrise spot and center of the town so we didn’t have any problems with dining or transportation. And most of all the breakfast was stunning!! The best breakfast I’ve ever had! Thanks to the ladies that made the meal!

We stayed in the junior suite cave room (3d 2n). Overall experience was great. The staff were warm, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast was varied and had a great selection, but it was the same selection as the previous day’s. We couldn’t enjoy the pool because of the season, but it looked very inviting. The room itself, I think, needs ventilation. Some things in the bathroom, were falling apart (shower handle), and I wish the bathroom door fully closes for complete privacy. I wish the towels are fluffier and the just more personal hygiene amenities. Roc of Cappadocia is really conveniently located to everything in the town. It was easy to find and walking distance to everything. It offers a great viewing experience of the hot air balloons and the sunset/sunrise viewing spots are like a 10minute walk (uphill). I think it was definitely a great value for money experience.
