The property was nice, clean and the staff provides excellent service. The only downside is the pool closes at 7pm daily. With the high temps, it should be open for some later evening swimming when it gets a little cooler and the sun isn't beating on their tiled walkway. Super hot to walk on without shoes of any kind.

No dining available closed for renovations. No food options till 6 am then closes at 2pm. Elevator remains broken this is nothing new . Parking attendant rude and short with answers. The casino is always working 24/7. They should let people know ahead of the inconvenience of food availability.Felt like being in a motel just snack machines.

Stayed over a busy music festival weekend, so this could be part of the biggest issue for my average rating - cold to lukewarm showers were the norm, at all times of the day. The room had two large red stains on the carpet and the bathroom was wiped down but not very clean, as evidenced by multiple long hairs found around it. Bed comfort was okay. We hoped to hit the pool Friday afternoon, but it was closed to prep for a party the next day. Only walked through the casino, so not much to review there, but the Art Cafe was fun and reasonably priced and the check-in staff was excellent! For a cheap(er) room, on a busy weekend, it was fine.

I enjoyed the location and rooms in the new tower. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Walkable to so many places and Uber pick-ups right outside the entrance with quick pick-ups. I was not impressed with the pool however. Water was murky the entire weekend. Music was not so great and no where to sit if you didn’t get there at dawn or reserve a cabana.

Excellent customer and cleaning service, I don’t liked the pool hours they closed at 6 or 7 pm too early to be Las Vegas and the elevators only 1 was working the whole week we stayed there, too close to Vegas old Downtown it’s around 4 minutes walking, very quiet at night any disturb the beds so comfortables.

Check in was not very thorough, kiosk did not work, front desk associate was not clear during check in, we were not informed where to park, nor let us know we had to bring the parking ticket to validate right after we parked, had to ask another employee. Disappointed that the pool closed at 6pm.

We enjoyed our stay and the Downtown Grand. We really appreciated the free parking, the pool was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked. The coffee bar in the lobby was convenient, and it was also nice to have coffee in the room and bottled water. They did not have housekeeping, but they were responsive whenever we requested anything like more coffee, towels, dump the garbage. The downsides, they told us when we checked in, were that the pool was open until 6, and then we found upon arrival it was only open until 5, which was unfortunate. The rooms themselves, while generally clean, needed a deep clean and were pretty worn out (lamp shade torn, outlets not working). It looked like something had splattered on the walls behind the TV, and there were weird glops of something on the ceiling (potentially old tape?). Overall, for the price, it was a good stay, with good service, and we would come here again.

Room was dirty and old. Sinks wouldn’t drain. Room given to us was by the elevator which we heard all day and night. When asked to move, they said they could only move us after 1pm. Terrible experience.

I was originally in one tower but the base from a party across the street was vibrating soo strongly i could feel it on the bed. I just got off a long haul flight and needed to shower and sleep so I got moved to another tower, which was quiet. The room was not very clean. Stained carpet, a bottle cap left on the floor, black hairs on 1 of the pillows, stains on the walls and a stale smell coming from the bathroom (possibly the shower drain). The mattress was also lumpy and uncomfortable. I could have asked them to move me again, but by this point i was exhausted so just used Lysol wipes and spray on the things i needed to use and hoped for the best.

The room was clean, and was likely updated within the last few years or so. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The shower was odd though, one pane of fixed glass covering half of the walk-in, and no curtain or anything to block the other half? Turning on the water to warm the shower up was difficult to do without getting wet with freezing water first. Be aware that your room does not automatically come with a mini fridge or microwave; we opted not to pay extra for one in our room. The valet at a lot of the hotels are closed, though we did not try this stay. The casino was clean, but small. Plenty of games and friendly bartenders. The restaurant next to the casino floor was not open for our stay. The hotel is very close to Fremont Street, which is great…unless you’re going to bed before the party is over lol but there was a message in our room for earplugs available at the front desk. Overall a good experience, and we would stay her again.

Really good experience, nice hotel, good amenities and felt just far enough away from the craziness of freemont street, but near enough to walk into it and elsewhere when needed. My only feedback is while the rooms were spacious and comfortable, they are starting to wear and look a little tired. From the carpets in the corridors and the surfaces int he rooms just need a touch up.

For an older, dated hotel, it was nice. The front desk could hang been more informative, but they have excellent customer service skills other than that. The bed, ug, so old and hard, but the room was clean. Overall a 3 star, would be a 4 with a better bed

The service and customers care was amazing and the hotel was nice and clean. Location was great for being downtown Vegas. My personal preference would be to have better Mattresses and microwave and fridges in the room but overall, I was very pleased with the hotel.

Whole early morning slots, I asked the man sweeping where the nearest restroom was. He told me "NO Bathroom" The lady bartender was very nice The lady at the security desk early, also very nice Bell guys were very nice When I checked in Evan informed me that I had to make a 150 security deposit. This was not in my booking Information. And I booked a year in advance. Saved a year..had just enough money in my account to pay your resort fees and a loan payment due the next day, and I told him this. He danced around then with a smile and giggle said he had to have that money!! That loan was for this vacation. I brought 800 for 3 days. Y'all need to put that little tid bit in with fees so there are no surprises. My loan was overdraft at my bank. I felt like I was cheated a little. The room has bed bugs. There was no free coffee for guests unless we are gambling. That's offensive. No I really didn't enjoy my stay nor will I stay again

Parking was challenging to find, they should explain its access the street parking garage. Check in lady was excellent, players card staff for gamblers lazy and no explanation for anything.

A security guard accused my 17 year old daughter and her two friends of stealing a phone that was stolen at the Golden Nugget because “they fit the description”. She followed them from the bathroom to the elevator while we were parking the car and told them that they have surveillance footage that they’ll check and the police would be contact of need be. We never set foot in the Golden Nugget, and if she would have asked them to call an adult, I would have told her that; but she didn’t. She decided to speak to minors without a parent present. I spoke with the security manager who was rude, unapologetic and stood by the security guard’s behavior. I will absolutely NEVER stay here again and will tell family and friends to do the same. Extremely disappointing, they should do better.

Room was clean, but when we ran into issues there was no help to be found. Tv went out called 3 times in 13 hours and no help. No clean towels brought even when called and requested 3 separate times. Shower backed up and when called for help again nothing happened.

Everything went wrong. Staff was rude at check in. Room didn’t come with the water that was promised. Didn’t get the room that was pictured when booking. Elevator in parking garage was busted. Room keys didn’t work. I’m very unhappy and want a refund.

From start to finish i regretted booking here. Front desk staff was unhelpful, didnt care, and unfriendly. Parking garage elevators broken, so that really sucked with an infant. Smelled terrible was very loud and nothing positive related to experience. The room was clean, which is nice, but no refrigerator which really sucks.

At check in we were assigning a room that looked to be occupied. Dog pads and water bowls in room. Bedding used and bathrooms soaps were used. Al thoigh they upgraded our room it was an unpleasant experience. Some staff was also very rude

The bedroom was great. Spaceful, clean and with a view to the city. The bathroom was also spaceful e the shower was good. Front desk was always polite and easy to chat. Only thing we missed was breakfast option because we had to look for places every morning and lost a little bit of time. Ps. the parking lot across the street was free, but there was an employee very rude and unpolite, even so it was worth it. Thanks, Downtown Grand Las Vegas.

The noise is crazy if you’re assigned a room on the Fremont side of the hotel. It is literally all night, you want to be as far away from the pool side as possible!

We were there for two nights. The room was spacious. Could have more outlets. Free parking was a bonus. Complimentary breakfast was great. Location was great (walk 1 block to Freemont Experience). The pool area was really nice and pool attendants were excellent. Lots of food choices. Love the $3 dog and beer!!!

There were no food option you had to go across the street but they did offer room service from the restaurant across the street there were a lot of prostitution going on in the bathroom late night the room was nice but the water pressure was awful and the shower did not get that hot the pool was nice

Everything from the room, food, friendly staff, casino and Lucky’s $3 deal for a hot dog or Chix taco and a PBR, was the best. Early November stay and the weather was nice enough to take advantage of the pool, which was a major plus for us, since we were going back to snow in Indiana.

I loved how quiet and nice this hotel is. The Staff is amazing the Baggage Guys were so nice, the dealers were great. The Front desk is helpful as well and cleaning staff so sweet. Only one complaint NO Restaurant that was a missing feature especially for Breakfast.

The room was awesome!! The hotel overall was awesome. I feel it lacks some of then options that other hotels provide. It did not have small snack or convenience store or I didn’t find it. Only option was 2 small vending machines before the elevators. The casino is nice and clean. The only other complaint was the fluctuations in water pressure. Hot water went from warm to small bursts of really hot back to cool the entire showers. Only small issues. Nothing major.

Affordable mid-range downtown hotel. Great value for the price. Only complaint is they the in-hotel restaurant (Freedom Bests) isn't even open during midweek when I stayed. Otherwise, a superb value.
