Casino based hotel, you walked through the casino to get into the hotel (the only way in/out of hotel). The room was good and the food was good. A nice place to sleep.

The room and staff were terrific. The entry to the hotel is through a casino which requires an elevator to gain access to the hotel. Once you traveled through all of that you then take another elevator to your room. Parking was in a garage which was okay but depending on where you parked it added to all of the walking just to get to your room. Beautiful hotel but very exhausting if your staying for more then a day or 2.

The hotel was nice. The staff was friendly. Rooms were clean air conditioning worked great and it had a fridge and microwave and safe. However, we showed up right before sturgis rally so we paid top dollar.. and the vending machine on our floor was out of order, one of the elevators didn't work for 3 of the 4 days and washer and dryer could use an update. Howere that being said, I do Appreciate the fact that the hotel did have a washer and dryer in it that was a Plus. All in all nice hotel.

We are a couple on a 6 day roadtrip from New York to Washington state. This hotel was our favorite of the 6 we stayed at along the way. Centrally located to walk to all the deadwood sites. Historic building. Easy parking. Very nice rooms and pool/hot tub was also very nice. Highly recommend this hotel we hope to come back!

Check in: friendly, excellent. Parking garage: the elevator was out on arrival and departure dates. Had to schlep my heavy bags up and down stairs. I also hate that guests have to OSU for parking when other hotels had free parking. Good: had 2 great breakfasts at Dales. Service was good, fast. Rooms: nice, comfortable, clean. Other stuff: nice patio to sit, read, talk, have a drink. Close to everything you want to do in Deadwood.

We had an awesome stay. Hotel treats the dogs like royalty offering a bowl and ball upon check-in. The pet relief area is very nice including a little trail off the back. Hotel is in great location. Great value for the price . Hotel pool and hot tub working and in great condition. We definitely plan to stay again .

Beautiful hotel in a great location in Deadwood, SD. Has a parking garage on site for hotel guests that fits our F350. Breakfast at the in house restaurant was wonderful and reasonably priced. The room was clean and very comfortable. Very happy with our stay!

Just got remodeled so there was plenty of sheet rock dust around areas of rooms and the hot tub and pool area was under construction which was one of the pain points for staying there!!

The Room was full of Dog hair all over the carpet trash was on the floor and the end table was dirty the staff had to come clean the Room not very impressed with the cleanliness the Room the guy who cleaned the carpet was very prompt of vacuuming to satisfy us and very apologetic

This property was beautiful and historic! Our room was lovely and very comfortable. The staff were so kind. We gave 4* for eco-friendliness because while they use refillable soap/lotion containers (yay!), they also use Keurig type coffee pods and plastic cups, 2 big no-nos! We also gave 4* for comfort simply because there were no options for bed pillows and they killed my neck. Plus, the room heater sounded like a jet plane taking off. Good for white noise but terrible for listening to the television. The room itself was wonderfully soundproofed. We never heard anyone in the hallways. We would definitely stay here again!

Front desk staff DO NOT CARE, nor do they communicate with guests that check-in may be delayed. If you let guests know they are able to check in on time then they would be happy. No communication regarding the late check-ins due to staff being sick could have been communicated at 12:20pm when we arrived on the property but were told check-in is at 3:00pm. We arrived at the hotel desk at 3:00 and were told it wasn’t ready. We checked in at 3:30pm. The lady offered us free breakfast and we told her we wouldn’t be eating there and she said “if you use it, you use it, if you don’t you don’t. My husband even said that we wouldn’t be eating downstairs. The casino staff and valet were great. Rating is all about the front desk clerks. Poor customer service - yes I have worked in a few m/hotels and worked the front desk. We were always told to be honest with the customers and they would be appreciative. This is an accurate training suggestion. After the 30 minute wait to check-in we came into a room with a dirty mirror in the main part of the room. In order to obtain our concert tickets, we had to go somewhere other than the players club. It was in the coffee/gift shop. Wasn’t well organized. In a (handicapped) accessible room the safe is on the lowest shelf - not very accommodating! Wasn’t well thought out.

I understand things happen that are out of the staffs’ control but the elevator wasn’t working so we had to use the emergency exit stairs, which is fine. But there were several options to take to get back into the casino area. Without any direction, we apparently took the wrong stairwell and then were scolded by the security guard. Don’t tell me to take the stairs because you’re working on the elevator and then scold me for taking the wrong stairs. The AC wasn’t working in our room and at first, I was treated like I didn’t know how to operate it. I had to get a little feisty just to move rooms and for them to admit the AC was in fact, not working. Room cleaning was supposed to happen daily but it didn’t and we had to ask for it. It was just more hassle then it should’ve been. Probably won’t go back.

I had planned on staying at the hotel Friday through Monday. I had to change my plans. I emailed the hotel and called a week early and told them I needed to check out a day early. This was a week before I could have cancelled without penalty. When I checked in the manager told me that I couldn’t check out until Monday because no one had called which was a lie. She was very rude. The Elevator to the lower level had only 1 working. Which caused a terrible backup in the lobby. The toilet would not stop running water and had fill issues also. I had to take the lid off for the duration of the stay and repeatedly pushed the drain canister to stop the water from running. There was only 1 person waiting tables in the restaurant on a Saturday morning. Which caused a terrible delay. Sunday morning was much better with several waitresses. Ours was very nice. The Valet people were very nice too ! Over all not a comfortable place to stay !

Everything was pretty good, but the windowsill and some of the bathroom wasn’t cleaned very well. The service at the restaurant at dinner was very slow, but the food was excellent. The service at breakfast was good, but the breakfast was cold. The bed was very comfortable. I loved the sheets! I will stay there again. It was a good experience overall.
