The staff were very friendly and efficient. We travel with a pet and they have a dedicated building for that. The room was excellent, clean and quiet. Some of the common areas could use a vacuum. They offered the standard breakfast, nothing unusual or special but it surficed. Just had to wade thru the tour bus people to get to anything.

Excellent and efficient check-in with very friendly staff! The property has three floors, and each floor has its own parking area with convenient doors to its respective floor. Way nice not have to wall all over the hotel to get to your room! We stayed in two-queen room. The bathroom is simple and clean with a stand-up shower and plenty of towels. There was a fridge with two complimentary water bottles, as well as complimentary coffee/tea. The queen beds are WAY comfortable!!!!! They are soft and cushiony (not too soft, but not firm - just right!). We bring our own pillows, also we did not use the provided pillows, but they looked comfy, too! The beds are in the top three of the best hotel beds we ever slept in! Everything was excellent for our quick overnight stay in Deadwood. Thank you, Travelodge!!! We'll be back!

Easy 10 minute walk into the town of deadwood. Very close to Roosevelt monument which you need to go see. It was one of the best views in all of the Black Hills in my opinion. My only complaint was our room was located above their outdoor building air conditioning / heater unit and it was very loud. Luckily I brought my earplugs. We saw mountain goats right outside our room on the cliff. I would stay here again.

I can't recommend this "hotel". Very friendly staff is the only good thing about this place. Getting to the room was a runaround. The room was OK but certainly not a $300/night room. It was not cleaned very well, the walls are paper thin and the absolute worst is a COLD shower in the morning... There are MUCH better options in the area.

The place was an older hotel, but was in really good condition. Staff was helpful and nice. The rooms were a bit small and the hot water when from hot to cold mutiple times during my shower and tge room was a bit noisy. The first night there was a really loud noise next to our room. Originally thought it was the ac, but didn't have the noise the 2nd night. The noise was like a large engine running night next to our window, but there was just a hill next to the window and no traffic. Lasted until around 2:30am. Did not get a lot of sleep.

Once my reservation was complete i called to make sure everything was good and if they would be able to meet our accommodations requests. The gal i spoke with said not a problem and i have this all noted, we will see you then. Everything was fine till we got to the hotel. Elizabeth tried to make it right but our room reservations were given away before we ever got there and i had already paid in full. Check in is 3pm to midnight and we arrived around 5pm. Also during the night we had 5 drunk men burst into our room, the front desk had double book our room and did nothing to fix it. Upon check out the grey haired man was rude and unfriendly. The continental breakfast was a joke. It was little cups of ceral, toast, bagel, muffin, milk, oj, and coffee. I have food allergies and never seen a continental breakfast without at least eggs and one protein. Save your money worest hotel experience ever!

So we went down to the desk and that lady called the security who didn't want to check the camera they had. Later my husband went back down and the security man said they were working on it. A little while later I got my camera back. The person who took it had said he was going to return it. Not heard what they did to the thief. Never heard from any hirer up person
