Very family oriented staff, the location was perfect for my trip only 7mins from where I needed to be. $15 for housekeeping if your not staying longer than a week, buy honestly a lot of hotels changes their housekeeping since COVID so every location is not the same. The place is clean and its simple. The washer and dryer usage is free as long as you have your own detergent but you can also buy some from the little store in the lobby as well. It was what we needed for the 3 days we were there.

What was good: - Convenient location - Courteous and friendly staff - Clean room, with spacious bathroom and good water pressure What to look out for: - There is no loading / unloading zone in front of the hotel for check-in / check-out; you will need to park and retrieve a luggage cart if necessary to bring in your belongings - The room we were in was a little cramped by the addition of a recliner (but it was nice to have a recliner) - The room was a little stuffy unless we had the A/C unit fan in continuous mode - There is no free breakfast, but there are options close by that may be better than the for-pay breakfast in the hotel What was disconcerting about this property was that the walls / floor in the hallway actually creaked when we were walking down the hallway, and there were noticeable dips / low spots in the floor under the carpet in the hallway (third floor).

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Candlewood Suites for the second time, and once again, my experience was delightful, and the added bonus of access to grills anytime. The check-in process was smooth, I was provided with all the necessary information about the hotel and its facilities. The rooms were well maintained, and equipped with everything I needed to make myself feel at home. I look forward to my next visit.

The property is under renovation (December 2023) and has new carpet in common areas and renovation in select guest rooms, including laminate floors but a carpet pad under the bed. Comfortable bed, nice-size TV, recliner, utensils and fuller-sized appliances for the kitchen, nice bath with locked-in soap dispensers including shampoo, conditioner, hand and body wash. Laundry basket, laundry room. Gym, patio with grill, two office stations in the lobby. No breakfast, pantry for snacks for extra dollars. No pool. Easy access to MD-100 and MD-295, the casino and shopping, but in a quieter residential area.

My wife and I had a very nice four night stay here recently. Our suite was roomy, had a full kitchen, and was great value for the price compared to other hotels. Only minor complaint is our room faced the front courtyard directly above a covered sitting area with tables and a grill, which are a great feature of the hotel. Many guests would sit at the tables for a cigarette or cannabis. Sometimes the air conditioner would draw those smells into the room. It only happened a few times during our stay, usually late at night, so it wasn't a big problem but it was annoying when it did occur. Other than that, this is one of the best hotels to stay at if you're in the area for a few days or just a layover at BWI airport. The Arundel Mills mega-mall and surrounding businesses across the highway from the hotel are very convenient places to shop, eat, gas up, or catch a movie.

It was very convenient as it was only 1.5 miles from where my conference was being held. Parking was congested but manageable. only complaint was there was a lot of hair left in the shower, so i wonder how well it was cleaned before or if it was cleaned. rest of the suite was spotless.

The biggest concerns were that the bathroom didn’t have any shower bars to hold on to in the shower. The shower head couldn't be adjusted and the shower water streamed to the back of the shower. It couldn't be lowered. There were no grip strips in the tub to prevent slipping. The shower curtain didn’t pull all the way to the back of the tub to prevent water from spilling onto the floor. The toilet could've been bigger and taller. There was no light in the closet. The recliner was badly worn and placed right next to the bed making it difficult to get in or out of the bed on that side of the bed. The recliner didn’t recline. The pillows on the bed were too soft. The air conditioning unit was extremely loud. It made it difficult to get some sleep.

This was a nice property in a quiet area for the most part. Front desk staff was not friendly or helpful at all. Housekeeping did not speak English so you could not speak to them about needing anything related to towels paper products etc. Not sure l would reccomend a stay here.

Other than the dirty tub and hair that was left in the tub. The steak would have been great and I was assured that I get a late checkout at 1230, but the cleaning crew kept knocking on the door starting at 10:45 every 20 minutes. That was an inconvenience. My problem was not with the hotel itself, but with the terrible treatment I received as a result of the obvious incompetency of Expedia as a third party booking agency. I was thrown out of my room after the first night of my 2-night paid and confirmed reservation via Expedia because Candlewood Suites claimed that they had not received any payment from Expedia, claiming that I paid for just one night when I checked in. Even when I provided proof of my prepaid and confirmed reservation, the manager insisted that the hotel did not receive any funds from Expedia, and that the room was already booked for that second night to another customer. By the time everything was resolved, my stay was ruined. I will never use a third party, like Expedia, to book anything again, and I will advise everyone to go directly to the source whenever possible.

Considering our options near the BWI airport, this is one of the better properties. That’s coming from somebody who lives in hotels all year for work. With budgets being tight, this was a very nice property, with all the amenities to live there comfortably. The front desk at check-in was robotic at best? Hell, the lady could’ve read it off a piece of paper for the way she was saying it? Unfortunately today, customer service is not number one.

We stayed for 1 night before our flight back home the next day. It’s a studio type with a full kitchen (but didn’t get to use it). They should at least provide a complimentary bottled water. Overall it was a comfortable one night stay. 7 mins to the Arundel Mall by car.

Stayed in March 24. Property was undergoing extensive remodeling. The property is isolated and fairly quiet, but there is nothing around it. You must drive/uber to restaurants or other local hangouts. They are fairly close (less than 10 minute drive) but nonetheless a drive.

This hotel is by far one of the best we have ever stayed at. Everyone was super friendly. We travel with 2 very small dogs and they put us on a floor with other dogs. Made it feel included. Room was plenty big for them to run around and very very clean from other dogs possibly staying there. 2 downfalls to the hotel that caused me to give a 4 and not a 5.... No breakfast but in their defense the rooms have a fully equipt kitchen to make your own. And the heater in our room wouldn't work. Temp was 64 degrees entire weekend. Some kind of eco friendly thermostat that recognizes when it should run. However in the hotels defense I did not complain about it or they would have sent someone up to look at it I am sure.
