Our room had a nice king bed, but the pillows were too soft and not very comfortable. Also, the carpet had a seam come up that needs repair. The room was like a small efficiency apartment with a small stove and microwave and a surprisingly large refrigerator. The breakfast was very good, It had actual scrambled eggs (others have powdered eggs), bacon, fried potatoes, small pancakes, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, juice, coffee (regular and decaf) and more. Most people should be able to find something they want. A word of warning -- this is an 'uptown' Charlotte hotel that offers only valet parking for $55 per night. This didn't affect us, as we took Amtrak into town and Uber to the hotel. That said, the hotel itself is more expensive than where we typically stay, but the location was important, as we needed to be withing walking distance to Bank of America stadium (it is about a mile on foot).

My only suggestion is robotic vacuums to give the impression of the commitment to cleaning.

Well.. first and foremost I booked my room 3 months ago for a concert at the Spectrum Center. I was so excited to take my grandson to his first one and only walk 100 feet to the entrance of the venue. When I went to check in the receptionist informed me that they had sold my room and they were sorry. I have never in my entire traveling experience heard of selling my room, that was prepaid for, months ahead of time. She did however inform me that they did book us a hotel down the road in another location. Not beside the venue and not easy to access. So, I would have to say it wasn’t the best experience for a hotel I often frequent. Very disappointed in there lack of communication and empathy to this situation. It must happen more than I expected. Greed should not be a reason to sell someone’s room to profit more in a sold out market! Shame on you!
