Our room was great! Staff were great! Pool and hot tub were great! Love the ambiance... just need to clean up around the property... lots of trash outside the dumpster area and around the whole property line... also a trailer with construction equipment just sitting in the middle of the parking lot (made things look sketchy)...

We spent three nights here on our vacation to Scranton. The two bedroom suite with kitchenette was a fantastic fit for our family of five, especially given the reasonable price. Breakfast was also great with a super hard-working and friendly staff member (Karissa) who kept things clean and organized in a busy environment that could have easily turned to chaos. The indoor pool was incredibly small, perhaps the smallest I've seen in a hotel, so if that's important to your family this may not be the best hotel for you. There was also a lot surrounding the hotel (restaurants, a movie theater, some shopping) but no sidewalks so a little more challenging to get around. In particular we were disappointed to realize that despite the proximity to PNC Park there was no real way to walk there and we had to drive and pay for parking.

people smoking outside property made entrance smell like tobacco, gym facilities subpar with broken benches, no water and dusty weights . Pool under going maintenance and unusable . elevators noisy and was afraid to ride. Customer service desk with limited answers about questions regarding facilities. Would like stay in this marriott affiliate again

Hotel was clean. Not enough staff to maintain the pool area. The water in the hot tub was very low. This was the main reason I wanted to stay this time. No towels available. Pool area not open in am so I could use the hot tub. Over all the staff was friendly, breakfast had assortment of choices.

The pool area could use a really good cleaning and some maintenance. There was no pool towels. Our room was nice and clean. Plenty of things to do within walking distance. We would stay again.

Front desk area looked clean & updated. Front desk employee was friendly. Slightly annoying that our room "wasn't ready" at our 4pm check-in time, even though we reserved the room months ago. Coffee was good. Parking lot is not well lit & is crumbling. Pool is tiny. At first our room looked decent. Slightly outdated. But no big deal. We were immediately appalled when we opened up the sofa bed (there was three of us). The sofa bed had no sheets on it & was COVERED in urine & blood stains. We were desperate to just catch a few hours of sleep & head on our way. But I was soo disgusted I didn't even shower during my stay. Just slept a few hours & left. On our way out, we had a trip down the elevator with dog urine covering the floor. I would rather sleep in my car than visit this location again. I will admit that we did not contact any staff with our concerns/complaints. We just needed to sleep a few hours & didnt have time. Shame on Marriott for allowing your name to be associated with this location.

The property is old but not horrible and understaffed. There was only one person working, the hot tub was not working, the pool area was dirty and the rooms were just dingy. Could definitely use some updating.

It says on website there is a shuttle to take you within three miles when we got there there was no shuttle service available and there is no restaurant on site you have to walk or drive to one

The venting is terrible, my bathroom smelled like cigarettes and weed the entire time. The front desk employee said that the way the building was built makes it so that the smell travels to other rooms, if someone is either smoking above or below you. There were fixtures for lights, but did not have any lights to go on them. There were light switches that did not turn on any lights. The rooms were therefore dark. The dishwasher and the sink smelled like mold. The AC in the living room did not work. I was suppose to get a queen bed and I got a full bed. I asked if I could have my room switched, but they could not switch my room and all they could do was spray the bathroom to have the smell go away. Which helped for about an hour but the smell came back. Room service never came as well and I stayed there from Sunday through Friday.

Fairly nice place although some of the common areas need attention and cleaning. The elevator hadn't been cleaned in some time. The breakfast area ran out of plates, butter and bacon. The person who appeared to be in charge just was not paying attention to what was going on.

The mattress on the sofa pull out was filthy with big stain spots (looked like blood). There was mold on the bottom of the bathroom grab bars. The "store" was not stocked. The breakfast was not good -- waffle station not working, no toaster, thick scum on the gravy, etc. I worked at a Marriot hotel. I do not know how this hotel passed the Marriot inspections to keep using the brand\'s name.

The hotel was ok and the staff that was there was extremely helpful and friendly. However, the entire property was just dirty and housekeeping never once cleaned our room for the 8 days we were there. We were told they were short staffed. We had to go to the front desk to get our own fresh towels, toilet paper, and trash bags and were told to just leave our trash outside the door and someone would pick it up which wasn't always the case. All of the exterior trash cans were full and overflowing for pretty much our entire stay, especially around the pool area.

The hotel was your average hotel. Clean. Certain staff are more friendly than others. The bed is hard and killed my back and hips. Pillows are awful feather pillows with no support. Woke up with sore neck. Bathroom is small. Make sure you check local concert venue schedule. Hotel was busy due to concert and people above us kept us up all night and morning from their stomping.

Overall, I like this hotel. Room conditions are excellent. Everything clean. Plenty of closet spaces. The small kitchen is useful. The breakfast provided are good. Good dining options within a few minutes of driving. Two minor complaints I have is: 1) the pull out softer bed mattress is very thin. Sleeping on the couch itself is more comfortable. 2) In both rooms I had, the bathroom doors cannot close completely. One of the door strike is misaligned. The other door slightly blocked by the floor carpet.

Stayed in a king and sofa bed. Room was very small when you open the sofa bed you can’t pass in between beds. You have to go on top of one of the bed to get to the other side of room. Breakfast was horrible. Constantly running out of these. No cream cheese for bagels, can’t get much worse. Waffle maker supposedly broke. My daughter is allergic to dogs, she woke up with swollen eyes, but that is my fault because I didn’t read that they allow dogs

Great room for when we do our events up at Montage Mountain, they just need to take out the pullout couches and put a full-size bed in there for the additional guest. My worker had to sleep on a pullout couch and the mattress was worn out and not comfortable.

The hotel upon check in told me that they oversold the hotel and since I went through expedia they cancelled my room after we jsut drove 5 hours in the car. Front desk somehow found us a room. Mutliple times I saw no one at the front desk which lead to numerous young kids and their parents taking water, soda and candy from the market.. Pretty much flat our theft. Would of loved to tell someone but they were no where to be found. Pool and hot tub were closed for no reason which was a disappointment after a long day of skiing.

I liked the location of the property in relation to downtown Scranton, and the shopping and dining options near the hotel. The service at the front desk at check-in was not so pleasant. The girl declined our request for a 1-hour later check-out the next morning because we were "not Mariott Rewards members" (turns out we did have one). The next morning, the front desk person (male) had no problem granting us the 1-hour later check-out (which we ultimately didn't need anyway). Our room had 1 pillow on the bed and we had to request more, as well as sheets and blankets for the pull-out sofa. All of that would've been fine but if not for the fact that it seemed like we were inconveniencing the girl at the front desk for these minimal asks. Annoying!

Hotel a bit tired but location is great right off the highway with a mall nearby & several restaurants. No mattress pad on the bed which concerns me but bed was comfy enough. A couple of other Marriott hotels in same vicinity.

Great hotel for an overnight stay while traveling. Especially enjoyed the hot cider and peppermint hot chocolate at the front desk when checking in! All rooms are dog friendly, which helps to know when traveling with a furry companion. Though the pet fee was a tad higher than other places, room cost was lower, so it all balanced out. Small strip mall with several options ranging from a quick bite to full service restaurant just a short walk away. Comfortable accommodations, including a small kitchen (handy for extended stays). Good water pressure in shower. Breakfast options next morning were standard fare and tasty. Quick access to the interstate to get back on the road.
