Comfort Suites At Kennesaw State University

This property is in need of a major renovation; it is more than just typical wear and tear. Unfortunately we experience the folllowing; the bathtub was moldy, the grout extremely dirty & the bathroom mirror was broken. The hallways and room were dark and several lamps in the room worked did not work. The carpet was stained and the paint was scuffed and in need of a major paint job. We were given a room in the basement level that had air humidifiers and loud fans circulating in the hallway. The gym downstairs had no working AC. The ice machine also broken was unfortunate; we were thankfully able to get ice from the front desk, but that’s tough just getting small amounts of ice when staying for local sports. Also, internet service was nonexistent, so I was unable to work from my room or the lobby. I would not recommend staying here until major renovations happen. It is super walkable to many restaurants and Kennesaw State so from a convenience level that was nice, but I would recommend staying elsewhere.

The pool is advertised as heated but it is not. It’s ice cold. Breakfast was ok. Beds were comfy. If cleanliness is important to you this isn’t the place you want to be. The fire alarm went off at 8:45am everyone went outside. The fire truck came. We all went back inside. No employee ever talked to any of the guests with any information regarding safety. At 9:30 as I was getting out of the shower housekeeping aggressively was banging on all the doors and entered into my room despite the do not disturb sign being in place. She asked when we were leaving. Check out is posted as 11am.

Great hotel. Place is clean and new. The parking is pretty dark and away from the building other than that great place to stay for the night.

The property was okay but very dirty around the common areas. Spiders in all window sills and the elevator was down. Staff were great though.

Dirty, pool very cold, outdoor fireplace doesn’t work, ice machine broke, bed very old, furniture wore out.

The hotel had no working ice machines, the temperature control in the gym was set at and stuck at 90 degrees, the gym equipment was broken/unusable, our room a/c was not adjustable and overall warm, and the hotel was in general disrepair

Pool was closed for maintenance which was disappointing. Access was easy off and on interstate.

Elevators out of service for at least least a week. Check out staff was abrupt and rude. Came to check out and waited 20 minutes for attendant to come out of back room. Requested room cleaning twice and room was never serviced. Never stay at that location again.

The room was absolutely disgusting. Stains on the walls, sheets, floors, and bathtub. We went to front desk and asked if any other rooms were available, and the staff was understanding and accommodated this request. However, the new room had the same issues. We left the hotel the same night and found another one down the road that didn’t have the cleanliness issue.

The room was in horrible shape. The back corners of the rooms had piles of filth collected. The window and window sill were covered in bugs, both dead and alive. Bugs crawling all over the curtains. Heavy duty staples covered the floor that were used to “staple” the bed skirt in place. Beds were disgusting. The down blanket in between the sheets was filthy, on both beds. Blood stains on one and makeup and bodily fluids on the other. So bad that we took everything off of the beds except the fitted sheet and laid our beach towels out to lay on and cover up with. Thankfully we travel with our own pillows. Bathroom was disgusting. Toilet had not been clean and shower and floor were covered with hair, of all kinds. We always travel with cleaning supplies and we had to clean the room from top to bottom. The door looked as though someone had tried to break-in at one point. The hallway to our room was a disaster. Ceiling tiles were falling out and looked like they had a major flood on that level. Woke up to leave and there were ceiling tiles on the floor that had fallen out. Also dealt with a marijuana smell all through the night and the hallway smelled like it in the morning. We had nowhere else to go, everything was full and this was just a stopover from a long road trip heading back home. Front desk staff was nice, nothing was their fault. We contemplated just leaving and sleeping in our car, but safety was also a concern outside. People hanging out in the hotel lot.

The soap in the shower had been used and bot replaced. But the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We flew in early from Michigan, and they did accommodate checking us in early. I booked two rooms, and the first set of rooms smelled like mildew. Come to find out it had a water leak and they gave us new rooms. Our next set of rooms weren’t too bad and they were on third floor. Although the had a little stench, we worked through it. On the last day, as we were getting ready to leave and catch our flight back home, we noticed something moving on one of the beds and shined a light on it and OMG it was a bed bug. We immediately called management to have them come and look and they agreed it was indeed a bed bug. I was furious and luckily my husband, and I didn’t sleep in that bed. I checked on the other room I booked that had my girls in there and when we pulled there sheets off we saw evidence of bed bugs. That was out last straw, and my husband was furious and told them we should be compensated for the cost of the rooms. They did a report and haven’t heard back yet. Needless to say, I would not recommend booking there until health codes are taken care of.

Staff is friendly. However, our room smelled old and dingy. There for a basketball tournament so apparently there weren’t any other rooms to move to. There for 3 nights and our room was never cleaned. Housekeeping did enter the room and only from our dirty towels from the bathroom. Hallway carpets and stairs were dirty and stained. Wouldn’t stay again.

It was clean and convenient to everything

The tub didn’t drain and the cleanliness was subpar.

When checking in, the staff member was very nice, but the amenities were not! The hotel is dingy and not clean. The hallway on the first floor was dark and like walking into a basement. The carpet was very dirty and stained. I’m not sure the room was cleaned well as there was crumbs on the floor and desk looked like it had soda or something on it. I read all the reviews and they all said how clean this place was except a few, but the few negative reviews were spot on. I paid for 2 nights and checked out early and they have not refunded me the 2nd night.

This hotel has seen better days. The room was clean enough but the bathtub was chipped and stained, the common areas were well worn and the walls were cracked. It was fine for one night but I honestly probably wouldn’t stay again.

Bed very comfortable, only problems with smell in the room.

No hot water the entire stay. We were on the 4th floor and spoke to others that had no hot water as well. Tried to call the front desk but the phone cord was frayed so the person could not hear me talking. No one was at the desk when I walked down but it was late. The fire alarm went off a little after 1am and scared everyone. We evacuated with our kids and spent about 30 minutes outside. One of the Cobb County firefighters stated this was the fourth time they had been to the property for an alarm in less than a month. There was no fire. Definitely was not a good experience all around. Would not stay there again.

Room definitely could use an update. The air system is really set up on an automatic system basically. So it cuts on and off frequently. May not be a problem for most, I just like to sleep in the cold with the air on.m at all times. The shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed, it kept sliding open gradually. The bed had a railing out on one side of the bed so had to be careful walking in between the space of the AC and the bed ( wasn’t much room in between ). Could hear running above us but that’s only because I believe some kids had were staying for a sports game, We didn’t mind it though. Other than that, it was an Okay stay.

Wifi is not good.

This hotel has a good breakfast selection They had waffles, a variety of cereal selections for kids and adults, oatmeal and grits package to make on your own and variety of juices and hot drinks. I love my room it was nice and spacious and we had a good time. We enjoyed the indoor pool and exercise room too.

The air conditioning wouldn't turn off and ran a little loud.

No thermostat and the A/C unit wasn't keeping up well, we couldn't complain because we apparently were given the last available room, so we just had to sweat it out. Area was nice, grounds are well-kept. Pool was closed for maintenance and with four kids it would've been nice to know ahead of time. Could've been better, could've been worse.

The Comfort Inn was quiet and we had a lovely view of a green space outside our window. The room was clean, breakfast was decent, and the front desk representative, Tina, was amazing!

Staff so lazy, had to change the door keys 6 times in 3 days. Breakfast you cant call that breakfast. Bathroom clogged, just bad .

The staff especially Travis at the front desk. Very polite, helpful and Caring. I was comfortable, safe and enjoyed my stay! I will definitely be back when I am in the area.

Very welcoming and helpful at check in. This is our third time coming here because the service is wonderful.

This room was ok for the price and it was pretty clean. My only problem was the staff was always outside smoking. I would leave the property to go do what I needed to do and they would be outside smoking. When I came back, they were still outside smoking. I couldn’t even check out because no one was the front desk because they were outside smoking. Just laughing and talking with other people clearly not staff, and yes, smoking.

Great stay, the staff was extremely accommodating and very nice.

Front desk clerk was rude. Pretty much all the staff was rude. They acted like they were doing me a favor. I will never stay there again

Overnight stay was pleasant. We had everything we needed. Very friendly staff! Quiet, convenient location. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend trip to Atlanta area for a volleyball tournament for our kids. It was clean with friendly staff. It is also in a great location for restaurants, stores and gas just off I-75.

Just off the interstate and easy to get to. Friendly staff and excellent service.

only stayed 1 night on way to FL, very nice hotel, room was large, mattress was good, breakfast was very good with lots of options available, would not hesitate to stay here again in future

The front desk was friendly and the room was nice, however the breakfast was terrible. Was very disappointed in the quality of the food.

We arrived at 2PM and told there could be no check in until 3PM. The bathroom in the lobby was very dirty. The room had only been halfway cleaned. Then the breakfast bar was not good. After we took one bite, into the trash it went and we checked out. Went across the street to Cracker Barrel and had a tasty breakfast. Will not be staying at Comfort Inns again.

The Internet barely worked. The TV was not connected to the Internet. The parking was inconvenient. The pool was stated to be heated but cold. The stairwell was dirty. There were no blinds in the room right next to the very bright Street light. The eggs were definitely powder and not edible.

Everything we wanted was in walking distance. Breakfast was excellent very clean and friendly service.
