We had a wonderful stay at Mandarin Oriental Hotel. They upgraded us because the room we booked was not ready yet. The hotel is safe and connects to the Prudential mall for shopping and more dining options. The staff and service were exemplary. We will definitely stay again.

The shower depicted in the photos was quite different from what we encountered, and the beds were significantly smaller than anticipated. Although we raised these concerns with the hotel, we were unable to switch rooms until our third night. This was particularly disheartening as we had been looking forward to this long-awaited break. When we finally moved to the room we had expected, it was a relief, but unfortunately, two of the nights still fell short of our expectations. Overall the location is great,hotel is clean and we enjoyed using the spa. If we had been allocated the final night stay over the 3 nights there would be no complaints.

The hotel is beautiful and located in a very desirable area. Back bay is one of my favorite places in Boston. The staff were great, very professional and always trying to help. If there is one thing that needs TLC is the carpet on the hallway and especially the first floor.

I had been to the spa before but not the hotel. I had a room for one person thst had a sofa, king size bed and table with two chairs. They offer turn down service at night and the maid gave me two chocolates with a small card the had a beautiful line from a Bob Dylan song. The food was perfection. My only negative is the spa. They don’t give facials of manicures or pedicures anymore. The services all cost between $300-$450 each. They should have a slightly less expensive menu of services for people staying there

Location is excellent. Found hotel a little tired. Sometimes a door man - other times not. Staff is so-so friendly, will respond if spoken to but not outgoing in any way. Room was disappointing - very small, painted white walls, too much furniture, etc. Just seems like they’ve lowered their standards a bit.

Had an exceptional stay at the Mandarin. Hotel decor is beautiful and staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Our room was spacious and bathroom positively palatial. Due to a misunderstanding over time we arrived at Ramsays 2 minutes before end of breakfast service and were graciously seated and served without fuss or the feeling of being hurried. Bravo Mandarin.

I have stayed in top hotels all over the world, and I have to say, the Mandarin is the first hotel where I can say, they really thought about their guests and how they occupy a room. Things as simple as all the light switches at the bedside. Every convenience you could think for the room was carefully planned out and offered. It really made me realize that this hotel was a standout because they cared about ultimate comfort and luxury for their guests.

Great hotel in an amazing location of Boston. Staff at the front desk were polite and helpful, but I can't say the same for the doormen. There's usually three men standing in front of the hotel and non helped to open the door or assist my daughter and I as we tried to roll our luggages out the revolving door and once we were out they did not even help or ask if we needed assistance to load our luggages onto our uber.

This experience from checking in to the quality of the room and the incredible concierge service that helped us with restaurants in our entire experience was unbelievable! It was probably the best experience I had with a luxury hotel in any city I visited. We will definitely be coming back!

Overall stay was good but having to wait 30minutes after the guaranteed check in time (3pm) in the lobby for the room to be ready was not acceptable. We were meeting friends at Abe&Ls across the street a 3:30pm and ended up keeping them waiting until 4pm b/c of this delay

Add in the incomparable location within Back Bay Newbury St. With Gordon Ramsey as its “hotel restaurant”, there really is nothing further to be said. The best of Boston.
