I really like this hotel and tend to stay here whenever I visit Boston. I have one *super* minor complaint. I love the fact that they have a peloton bike. However, it has been broken for my last two visits (since April 2025). The censors that record the RPM and resistance is broken (the screen works, the pedals spin but there is zero feedback). I've mentioned this now twice to the front desk so lets hope by my next visit its fixed. They just need to bring in a technician.

Easy to walk to many of Boston’s sites, restaurants, and shopping areas. The hotel itself is very clean and has the friendliest staff. We arrived early and they offered to see if our room was ready, and if not, offered to hold our luggage. Take advantage of the parking garage discount they offer.

I had a really great stay here. The place was super clean, and every staff member I talked to was kind and easy to deal with, just genuinely nice people. They don’t have on-site parking, but they pointed me to a parking garage about five minutes away that was super clean and convenient, so it wasn’t a big deal at all. Overall, everything felt well taken care of, and I’d definitely stay here again.

Only negative here was that the parking was offsite and it was kind of strange to get to due to construction. Otherwise this hotel was awesome. Really stylish, comfy bed, and the location was amazing - it’s so close to the library (which is my favourite place in the city), the Boston commons and good shopping. The subway was just a short walk. It was also a great price compared to other Boston hotels, which I find to be outrageously expensive. We got a room with a shared bathroom which I thought I would hate, but I didn’t mind it at all - it was completely private and they were cleaned regularly throughout our stay. The staff was also really friendly and there is a place to get coffee on site. Would totally recommend this hotel to anyone!

Absolutely loved my stay at The Revolution Hotel! It was in a great area, the hotel itself was modern and trendy, the room was cozy, the staff was friendly, and it was super clean. Was wondering what the shared bathroom situation would be like, but it was honestly great; the bathrooms were cleaned very regularly and I never had to wait. I'd absolutely stay here again!!

Fantastic price. Lovely decor. Super clean. Super staff. We stayed 3 nights. Found plenty of restaurants nearby. We also had dinner at the on site restaurant, which was very good. Thought the shared bathrooms would be a problem, it never was. Nice touches we the robes and shower bags. Easy to get carafes of fresh water in the hall and ice. Will stay here again.

Place had a fun vibe but the down the hall bathrooms were not kept clean which made taking a shower difficult. There was a clogged toilet in one that I told the cleaning staff about but they didn’t seem to care. They just kept talking to each other. By the time I checked out it was still clogged. I wouldn’t mind giving them another try. I did like the overall vibe.

I would highly recommend The Revolution Hotel. The staff were really helpful with any queries I had and very welcoming also. There is a great vibe in the hotel. I was a little sceptical about the communal bathroom prior to arrival, but it couldn't have been a more positive experience. The cubicles were serviced so frequently. In fact, there was nearly always an attendant in there each time I went in. The location is also super - very central and within walking distance of everything. I would 100% recommend and if I am ever back in Boston, this is where I'll be staying.

The communal bathrooms were spotless, and I never had to wait to use them. The hotel was convenient to all the great Boston neighborhoods and parking was easy enough. The neighborhood felt safe at night. Definitely recommend for solo women travelers.

Very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms down the hall were close by and private and clean. You choose one and it has everything you need- sink, shower, toilet, hooks, and place to set your things. Delicious quick breakfast at the coffee shop in the lobby.

We enjoyed our stay! Staff was very friendly and the room was great. The only thing we had an issue with was the shared bathroom. Reviews made it seem like they stayed on top to make sure it was clean but we found the bathroom quite dirty most of the time. You’d see cleaning staff in there but half the time they didn’t actually clean the bathrooms, they’d sit for hours in the same condition especially in the morning.

I think the idea of the hotel is cute. I’ve stayed at a few boutique hotels, but sadly this one was not one I’d recommend. The woman at the front desk when I arrived had a kind disposition. The room was awful. I had to pay $40 for a bathroom in my room bc I didn’t realize I booked a shared bathroom originally. The new room had a toilet inside the shower - it smelled like feet and poop in the entire room as a result. There were boogers on the walls next to the bed and hair nearly everywhere. The heat was slow to work, the lotion bottle was completely empty upon arrival. It just looked like the room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly. The parking was a 10 min walk and about 6 blocks away for $35. There were no instructions provided so I almost didn’t get the hotel discount bc the hotel didn’t provide a voucher. This was more a boutique hostel then hotel and I think the nightly rate is indicative of everything being overpriced in Boston.

The hotel property was great. Modern, cool art. The location was wonderful. Staff was nice. Cute area in Boston with many shops and restaurants and a little bit more residential, which was really nice compared to the bustle of the locations of some of the other hotels. Unfortunately, the rooms were tiny. I get that the hotel is trying to be different and i appreciate that it was a converted Y. But guests should just be aware that the standard rooms are tiny and that some rooms do not have a bathroom. The shared facilities were modern and it could work well for some people.

Room was cramped with just enough room to fit the bed and all of my luggage inside. The air conditioning and pipes made frequent wet noises throughout the day/night. TV went out repeatedly. There was a safe which was nice. The shared bathrooms smelled like a public pool, one shower had good water pressure but no heated water, another one had heated water but poor pressure. The bath bundles were not checked for quality because one bathrobe was ripped and the other one was missing a waist tie. No on-site parking was a pretty significant hassle although the hotel vouchers did lessen the parking expense by a small amount. Was only an 11 minute walk from a reliable garage. However, beautiful area to be in and the lobby and restaurant were nice too.

The room was extremely small with no usable space. It consisted of just the bed, a sink, and a combined bathroom area with the toilet right next to the shower. There was no place to sit and relax other than on the bed itself. It felt quite cramped and uncomfortable, with no designated area for luggage. Upon entering, you’re just a few steps from the bed, and there’s essentially nowhere else to go within the room. Oh and parking is a few blocks away! You can’t go in and out they’ll charge hourly as opposed to daily!

The loft room was very nice, stylish, quiet and roomy with a large bathroom and a kitchenette which was very handy for me. The location was great too, in walking distane to the central area and not far from an subway station. The other rooms available were small and not suitable for what i needed, however, they are a lot cheaper and i had to pay premium for the luxury of a loft room.

The door to the bathroom was stuck! So hard to open and close! The Wi-Fi/tv didn’t work either, no connection to anything, which was annoying. But other than that it was a great stay! Those lofts are adorable!

Nice hotel , stayed in the loft apartment. Room lovely at first glance, couple of issues-sliding bathroom door would only shut just over halfway & wallpaper starting to peel off in places,also felt like the duvet cover was too small for the size of bed ? Not sure if it was coming from the aircon or the plumbing system but some sort of annoying clanging noise.

Staff members are kind and friendly. The room and the bathroom are very clean. The first night there was noise from the AC and I couldn’t sleep but the next day after telling the problem they changed the room immediately and I thanked for the prompt action and felt satisfied with the new room.

I didn’t like my stay. I was locked out of my room one night because my key card wasn’t working, and the receptionist was quite rude. However, a security assistant helped me and accompanied me to the room to check if it was working. I also asked for a hotel receipt because I needed an invoice, but they didn’t give it to me with the information I requested."

Best feature is the location. The neighbourhood itself is very nice, and with lots of fun places to eat. It's easy to walk to downtown/the Public Garden as well. I didn't take advantage of the amenities, so can't comment there. The wifi worked well. Easy bus/train options nearby at Back Bay. Parking is difficult (street parking not possible for more than 2 hours Mon-Sat, practically no available spots on Sundays, although there are garages a short walk away). Depending on what you intend to do during your stay, you might be better off not bringing a car. The bathroom situation might not appeal to everyone, but they are very upfront about that. Bathrooms are regularly cleaned, and in good condition. In general the hotel is clean and well-maintained, and everyone is friendly.

This hotel was fantastic! In a prime location for exploring Boston. We used it as a Boston and walked to everything we wanted to see. The staff at check in were so kind and they wished me a big happy birthday when they found out it was my birthday. We had the room with four beds and it was very comfortable. I love the character of the hotel too, it has such a fun brand identity. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It’s in a nice walkable neighborhood. It’s 10-15 min walk from Amtrak and 15-20 min walk from the first stop of the Freedom Trail (Boston Common). The place is nice and hip, and surrounded by several bars if you feel like late night drinks or small bites. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Decent amenities. The staff were wonderful and friendly. Fast check-in & check-out. Love the decor and the history of the hotel.

Great experience. The hotel was in an authentic Boston location near the subway and copley square. the lobby was inviting and sold good coffee. The front staff were helpful, kind and answered all of my annoying questions. I had to cut short my trip and the hotel has a policy to refund you if you let them know ASAP. Thanks Kim. I would definitely stay here again. Rooms were immaculate as well as the bathrooms

Unique decor, very good restaurant, awesome neighborhood, super comfortable and clean, love the fusion of history and contemporary artifacts. Look to cafes outside the hotel for coffee in the morning - several very close.

Hotel was conveniently located and had its own (paid) coffee bar, restaurant and bar (only open on Thursday, Friday & Saturday FYI). Had gym but didn’t use. Big comfy bed with an amazing tv. Quiet room. Free working wifi. Thoughtful bath amenity kit available in each room.

I loved this hotel! The staff were so friendly and i loved the decor and vibe of the hotel. The room was fine i feel like the price is a bit much for what you actually get but it i still enjoyed it. My only negative was the coffee at the shop in the lobby was undrinkable it was not even being dramatic the worst cup of coffee ive ever had in my life. But i would 100% stay here again!

If you're a traveler who does not need a lot of the super amenities of the higher end hotel, this is the place! Great staff, even the shared bathrooms were emaculent! Near to the local transit, share ride pickup was a breeze! Two great restaurant/bar options on site!
