Staff excellent. Rooms spacious and well cleaned. But no amenities. Pool and jacuzzi closed. Featured coffee shop not even started. Breakfast so so. No walking. Wifi poor.

the room was ok and the cleaning staff was very efficient. the problem was that most of the items in the room like the shower head, hvac, refrigerator, and microwave was old and should be replaced. then there was the problem of onsite parking which was limited and to make things worst, offsite parking was also hard to find as the surrounding streets have limited legal parking hours. on our first night stay, we had to park a block away and lugged our property to the motel where late at night was no fun.

Delightful, reasonably priced, beautifully appointed small hotel in center of town, close to everything. Super clean room and property. The spa and pool were temporarily closed but we were there for just one night so not a big issue. Excellent breakfast in very pleasant setting, only competition might be the close proximity to quite possibly the best donut shop on Earth (Rolling Pin Donuts, open 24/7 and AMAZING assortment of donuts and other baked goods). Would definitely stay again and again.

I loved this little hotel! Everyone was so nice and it was very pretty. My only complaint was the pool was not in service, but seemed to be a health dept issue and not their fault.

Comfortable, safe, and nice facility, very convenient to SFO. Only 5 minutes to/from Airport Car Rental facility. We were disappointed that the advertised 'Spa/hot tub' facility is no longer functional. The bed was a bit 'long in the tooth' for my comfort. Being a bit charitable, perhaps the COVID era caused stress and the property will bounce back. I certainly hope so since from the photos and reviews from a few years ago, it has been better. I would stay there again -though with now slightly reduced expectations (No Spa/hot tub, No Exercise Room, No usuable roof deck.)

Hotel was cute and clean. Staff were super nice. The only thing I was disappointed about was the pool. It’s closed, this was one of the main reasons I booked here. So that was a bummer. I would suggest that it be updated that their pool will be closed for a while from what I understand.

This is a really nice hotel. Not your standard plain hotel. Has nice design elements. Easy parking in a bright garage. Nice breakfast room. Large rooms and comfy beds. Very clean. Microwave, fridge and lots of coffee for the coffee maker.

Bathroom had poor ventilation and mold on the wall. Freezer didn’t work and my ice cream melted v.v. Would not recommend the iron/ironing board. Staff very friendly. Parking structure and area is safe.

The hotel was lovely and Christian in reception was exceptionally helpful. All this being said we did have a problem. Both my son and I found ants in our rooms. My son had them in his bathroom and Christian gave him another room without hesitation. In my own room they were on the writing desk so not as big a problem. We brought it to the attention of the manager, who was new to the hotel. He told us he was working on the problem so hopefully it will be resolved by the time we stay there again. The hotel is very well situated. Both San Francisco and the airport are easy to get to by train or taxi. The area is also very well served by restaurants and bars. ……and a casino if you dare!

The place was fine it was clean the beds were ok,one had ripped sheets and comforter. The bigged negfor us was the A/C unit would only stay on for 1-5min and shut off makeing the room hotter than outside. Luckly the window does open for the room so we could cool it off a little.

Stayed for 4 nights and every morning the breakfast coffee is always cold. Do not plan to use your laptop or iPad on their Wi-Fi. HORRIBLE experience. Was only able to connect ~15% of the time. Keeps getting kicked off the network. Staff said to just keep trying. Very unique decor. Hallways lighting feels like Dracula’s castle.

The hotel room itself was just okay. A little worn out but clean. However, I was given a room on the west side of the hotel facing El Camino Real, a 6-lane main road. The traffic noise is extremely loud in the room and very bothersome when trying to sleep. I requested a room on the residential facing east side, but none were available. I would not stay here again because of the traffic noise.

Property is always very comfortable in a quiet safe area. We did have a little trouble with the internet - its very slow and therefore our TV experience was less than perfect. Other than that I would recommend this hotel.

This is an old property with character, that has been maintained well, and has been furnished and decorated true to its history. The king room we stayed in was very small, with very large furnishings. It's very convenient to the airport and easy to drive in/out of San Francisco. WiFi is good, and parking is convenient. It sits on a main street that is busy and you can hear planes and street noise, so if you're highly sensitive to noise, this is probably not the place for you. My biggest complaint was lack of pillows. The king bed only had 2 standard pillows. Pillows are cheap...if you don't want to stock the rooms with more, at least have them available upon request for guests like my spouse and i who regularly use 2 pillows. This hotel is good for a short stay when you don't plan on being in the room much other than sleeping...and don't foget to bring your own pillow.

The front desk upon checking in was rude and immature. There was a mix up with the name checking in and she was almost accusatory to my boyfriend. Then when getting in the room and needing to use the sink later that night, it was clogged and had molded tape circling the entire pipe underneath. Other wise the stay was fine.

The room was nice, fresh sheets & towels. Bathroom is fairly new, AC worked very well. The only negative feedback was the front desk personnel. My check-in was a bit off. She was not welcoming & no pleasantness in her voice. I felt like she was “bored” with her job. John was much better.

Great location wirh food and shops around the corner. Near airport but not close to Bart so u have to take a taxi. The property is dated and you can hear TV in other rooms. Not a very professional reception. Check in seemed to be with a cleaning lady.

Hotel was very nice, on the fancier side but affordable. There are a few restaurants near by. We walked to one for dinner. Room was clean, comfortable beds. Our room was right above the highway but it was quiet. The airport is a few minutes away and it was easy to drive to.

What a find - if you ever need a value priced place close to SFO, stay here if it's available, I certainly will! Decor is beautiful in lobbies as well as room. Super clean. Great beds. Full bathtub. Safe feeling neighborhood, really being gentrified. tons of good nearby restaurants and food delivery. Microwave and fridge in room, coffee maker and bottled water. Covered parking. Very happy.

Visiting at the hospital down the street and this was a perfect location. Friendly welcome and underground parking! Felt very safe for a solo stay! Would stay again for the same reason or even an early flight out from SFO!

Nothing to do with property. It’s just near the airport and a busy Main Street so traffic can be bothersome. Perfect spot if you need an overnight next to airport though!

The hotel had alot of character, victorian style hotel. Older but beautiful furnishings, chandeliers, and decor. They offered a light breakfast which was nice and free underground parking. I gave it a four because the wifi kept dropping and the ac was old and didn't get cool enough leaving the room stuffy even after having the fan on throughout the day. The young gentlemen who worked the desk during the day was very helpful and respectful with all guests as I witnessed,. This made up for the young lady in the evening that I had asked for help with local transit and she replied, "Just google it, thats what people do".

The hotel is clean, spacious room, staff services was great. The location of the hotel is on a busy road & you can here the noise of cars passing by. Also, the continental breakfast is all carbohydrates, no eggs or bacon.

The air conditioning system is not good, a/c stopped while we go out & when we comes back, we have to turn it on but there’s no cold air coming out . Breakfast doesn’t include eggs, we prefer eggs are included Please hoping , if would improve more on those mentioned.

Great location and reasonably priced. Our rooms were clean, and the public areas were also clean. Staff were friendly. Breakfast choices were good (no meat or eggs available, though). The property is on a main road, so it does get noisy during the day. But, it does quiet down at night, which matters most. Close to San Bruno's downtown area where there are excellent restaurant choices - Korean, American, Filipino...to name a few. The only downside to our stay was that the spa pool was closed due to a recent code imposed by the DOH. We will make Villa Montes our goto place if we are in the Bay Area again. Thank you, for a pleasant stay!

The property listed is all that it was said to be. Room was clean and the towels/soaps replenished daily. The continental breakfast offered a variety of foods.. to go and option to eat there. I enjoyed my stay there, it felt safe and staff was pleasant.
