Spacious room, and surprisingly quiet for as close to the airport as it is. We chose it because it's walkable from the San Bruno BART station - about an 8-minute walk, with sidewalks the whole way. There's a 24-hour shuttle from the hotel to the airport (I didn't ask about the other direction), but FYI that as of this writing it only leaves at the top of each hour.

Loved the staff! Wished however it had an elevator. We had 4 heavy pieces of luggage to carry upstairs. However, the upgrade took the workout upstairs away! Thank you !

This place is super convenient! There’s complimentary breakfast in the morning, a clean spa and pool, plus 24/7 access to the gym. They also have laundry and dryers if you need them. The rooms are clean and come with a kitchen and dishwasher, which makes the stay even easier. The staff are friendly and the common areas are well kept too. The only downsides are the plane noise, since it’s close to the airport—but that can also be a plus if you’re traveling and want to stay somewhere nearby the airport. The other thing is there aren’t any elevators, so if your room’s on the 2nd or 3rd floor you’ll be taking the stairs. Other than that, it really has everything you need for a comfortable

Overall, good stay at Sonesta San Bruno. The pool and spa were great, breakfast was nice enough and there was free laundry, bbq and gym on site. The only issue we encountered was with getting hotel charges almost daily for different amounts. Apparently the hotel system wasn’t seeing that all was booked and prepaid with Expedia, so kept charging us. Hotel staff resolved it all but was a bit frustrating after the 3rd time. To end on a positive note, the location was fantastic. Very close to SFO airport and there was BART station under 10mins walk from the hotel that goes to downtown San Francisco. Price for a 8-night stay was great. Would definitely stay in here again if coming back to the area. Thanks!

The place was great. Very nice staff and service. My kids loved this place as it has a hot tub, a pool and a basketball hoop. We had a suite with 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room area and a kitchen. It was clean. The only thing is that some of the furnitures are outdated and was nosy because of the airplanes. But overall, we love this place.

The check-in was very efficient. The pool area was well maintained with sufficient towels. The two bedroom suite is very nicely designed for families. It would’ve been nice to have an elevator to the second floor. Otherwise we have no negative complaints.

The hotel was in a good location for what we needed, close to shopping and restaurants. We had a one bedroom which worked out well but the hideaway bed mattress was in poor condition and not very comfortable. The lounge chair in the room was in poor condition and was quite dirty. It should be replaced. We did not use the pool but it looked very nice. The grounds could certainly use a thorough clean up, as there were pieces of garbage and cigarette butts strewn amongst the rocks adjacent to the walkways. Parking was free so that was a plus!

There are 3 levels to this hotel and no elevator, so if there is no staff around to assist with bags, you will have to carry them. Traveling as a single mom of 2 small children, there was a lot to lug up and down. Our first room smelled horribly of cigarettes but luckily they were able to move us into a different room that did not smell bad. The pool was lovely though and the shuttle to the airport was punctual. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would stay again but would request a ground floor room.

We flew into SF airport and needed an overnight hotel and it has excellent reviews. I would not recommend it at all. It was extremely dirty and not well taken care of at all. The carpet was not vacuumed and there was mold in the bathroom.

Got the same room as a week ago. In the same condition as before. Red stain on the carpet...blood? Dirty/used furniture with stains and rips. Closet still smells like a million wet swim suits have dripped on the carpet. Bed is as hard as or harder than a rock. But hey, I did have a hot shower this time. Pictures attached.

Our room was clean and nice, but the area outside our room was filthy for our entire stay. Dirty napkins, a filthy towel, trash everywhere. Also the rooms are not soundproof at all and we were awoken by the family above us and next door. Our bed was comfy though. Not sure we would stay here again.

Loved their complimentary breakfasts. Our room was clean and pretty quiet (with the exception of the big planes taking off from the airport every few hours) for being on the first floor. Did find a few pebbles on our carpet in the living room area, but other than that the place was clean. Would come back again. Loved being near the shopping mall too.

This is not well kept. The first room smelled overwhelmingly of smoke. They sent someone to “spray it”. The second and final room was in the main lobby and the ceilings in public areas are soft with water damage. I had severe reactions to the mold and mildew overnight. Will never come back.

Great hotel, great location, surroundings were okay- not much walkable. Lots within 5 min drive. Only complaints: no recycling availability and walls were pretty thin. Could hear the neighbor’s cell phone when it vibrated.

Lots of space. No soundproofing. I could hear the man in the apartment above walk across the floor to go pee. The people talking outside were as loud as a tv in the next room and of course airplanes. White noise app helped but sleeping here was difficult.

We had a great stay at Sonesta ES Suites San Francisco Airport San Bruno. The room was a very good size, comfortable, and well-equipped with a full kitchen, which made things really convenient. The location was ideal—close to the BART station and a supermarket—and we always felt safe and secure. Parking was also reasonably priced compared to many other hotels in the area. The only downsides were that our room had a bit of a musty smell at first, likely from a previous guest who may have smoked, and the pull-out bed was only really suitable for a child, not an adult. Overall, though, we were very happy with our choice and would stay here again.

The room and facilities were dated, with haphazard remodeling that cheapens the overall quality of the interior. Most aspects of the room were "renewed", but it is obvious the building is showing its age and some odd items were not renovated: toilet, TV, clock (who still uses CDs?), stained chairs. The room is large, but since the interior didn't feel cozy, clean, or inviting, I did not want to stay longer than I needed to. Location was not as convenient as I had hoped, grounds were messy with trash, "pet area" was a real joke (landscape island with a fire hydrant and some poop bags), and this hotel is on its last legs.

CHECK IN: Upon checking in, the staff appeared annoyed. I wasn't sure why-I got in at about 8:00 PM but they seem to want to get off shift. CLEANING: I asked for cleaning midway through my stay and that was not done. I also communicated I would like a 12 noon late checkout time. The front desk neglected to relay my departure time to the cleaning staff, resulting in multiple disturbances. NO ELEVATORS: This hotel is NOT accessible and has no elevators. I had to carry my luggage up three flights of stairs to reach my room on the third floor, which was quite challenging. FOOD: Breakfast was very early and there was a significant time change for me, so I never actually made it to the 8:30am cut off. I suggest that breakfast be open until 10:00 AM. The snacks were both scarce and costly. I would recommend that at least a bottle of water be given to the guests. GENERAL: The hotel upgraded me to a two-bedroom, despite my earlier decline. The room was "non-smoking," however, I could tell the room had been a smoking room not that much earlier, and it reeked of smoke. When I first entered the room, one of the fire alarms was beeping. They fixed that quickly, however. Despite the issues, the beds were very comfortable. I would likely go back, but prepare for the above problems before a stay.

They wouldn't let my wife check in even though I called the night prior to confirm if she can check in and I was told she can check in as long as she had her ID and credit card. They didn't let her check in until she contacted me and I contacted the hotel and threaten to contact corporate office if they didn't let her check in. They also held a larger Deposit .on our credit card, then the company policy required. As we walked two, r, they were cigarette buds all over in front of several room.Doors.

The property itself was horrible and infested with bugs. My daughter and I came from Seattle to meet her surgeon. The hotel was all paid for in advance and staff confirmed this on check in. When I checked out I was charged almost $700, this was done in 4 charges. I called the hotel and was told it was a glitch in their system and I would be refunded in 5-7 Days. I spoke to the manager who was extremely rude and actually raised his voice at me. Being a single mom I don't have this wiggle room with my bank account. I'm extremely disappointed with this situation and will not recommend this place to anyone.

We had a comfortable room and EXCELLENT service from the team at this hotel! A few to call out were -Maria making sure everything was stocked and ready to go for breakfast. -Emirose and Khalil at the front desk who were quick to act on any concerns we had about our stay or additional needs! Great location for us...convenient to a grocery store, a few department stores (Marshalls, the mall, and Starbucks). Drive into San Francisco was about 30 minutes so we had the comfort of being remote without being too far from the action. Would definitely recommend!

First of all, the location is convenient if you travel through SFO. The area has a lot of dieting options and shopping centers. The parking is convenient although when I was reviewing it, it wasn’t very clear. How much parking fee is an actually one previous reviewer mentioned that Parking was free. In any case it was $10 a night which is appropriate for San Francisco. The place is quiet and has a number of private entries into the property. We took an apartment suite and we managed to keep it clean for the several days that we stayed. The staff is very helpful as we interacted with them mostly during breakfast. Also, the BART station is walkable in case you don’t have a car! Strongly recommended!

We've stayed here before since it's only 5 minutes form SFO, and next to San Bruno BART for easy access into the city. Spacious rooms, clean and well furnished. Plenty of places to eat nearby.

Great value, large rooms. Waking distance to Bart station to ride into SF and sightsee at Fisherman's Wharf! Free shuttle rides to and from airport. Continental breakfast was good as well. Highly recommend if you don't mind riding the subway to sightsee or see a Giants game at Oracle!

Friendly check in. Location is in an isolated strip mall, but we were staying one night before our flight, so it was fine. Shuttle runs once an hour and breakfast starts at 7:30am.

check in was easy, front desk was helpful, when I told them the ice maker in the refrigerator didn't work they, immediately gave me a bag of ice Prefer a firmer mattress no guide in the tv, you have to use channel up button to go through all the channels to see whats on, no info button either breakfast was good, cheese omelets, sausage patties and breakfast potatoes, cereal and pancakes also available on Saturday Sunday was scrambled eggs, and ham Monday was scrambled eggs and sausage links every day there was yogurt, bagels , toast and muffins,juice and coffee

This was the perfect property for our weekend stay. Staff were very friendly, informative and helpful at all times The breakfast was great – sometimes hard to get a place to sit so just mentally be prepared for that- if the weather is nice you can sit outside. The bed was comfy, the shampoo and conditioner leave little to be desired so you may want to bring your own better quality shampoo and conditioner. There is no body lotion provided (as most other hotels do have) so bring your own. The BART is maybe three blocks away and in our opinion the best way to get into San Francisco – it is extremely efficient, clean and safe and only $5.05 one way per person to get into San Francisco, it took us only 20 to 25 minutes for the BART train to arrive at our destination. The hotel shuttle to and from the airport was great! We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was very comfortable for a family of 5. It gave us privacy, and we had everything we needed. They even offer a complimentary laundry area. The mattress was too hard for me, but everything else worked out for us. Convenient location with easy access to 101. Breakfast was very well prepared. The area was clean and the lady helping us did a great job.
