Motel 6-Tacoma, WA - South

Air conditioning did not work, door seal was non existent as there was a 1/2 and larger gap around the door. Has a WIFI network but did not get any internet access. They are renovating the hotel but have sea cans and dumpsters taking up parking spots. Room was completely renovated but they left the old cigarette burnt tub in the bathroom.

Pool & ice machine broken. No stoppers in sink or tub making rinsing contact lens scary and bath impossible. There were no coffee cups so the clerk didn’t make coffee and would not make coffee for us to use our own cups without management approval. Said she couldn’t call her manager until 10 so as not to wake them up. Squeaky mattress/box springs. Overall a frustrating experience. Don’t recommend unless the manager starts prioritizing maintenance and customer service. the afternoon clerk was innovative trying to come up with a solution to the stopper issue.-impressive The morning clerk, however, couldn’t think outside the box and was not customer oriented.

The pool was closed for the season as well as thee hot tub. This was late june. I was very disappointed since it didnt state tate on the website and i chose this one for the hot tub and pool.

Parking was tough chains over driveways large dumpsters in parking lot, work crew yelling at 8am. No light in outside walk ways, domestic violence issues every night New remodeled rooms are greasy Travelers should have been warned of issues,

cigarette smoke everywhere, ice machine broken, office often unmanned, small freezer in small refrig didn't work lots of construction but not a factor in poor management and conditions

This place is a run down motel not well kept the pool was closed the vending machines were half empty and overpriced, the ice machines didn't work and the washers and dryers had been ripped out. The front desk was frequently unmanned with a 'be back in 15 mins' sign on the door. I locked myself out of my room and waited 20 mins for someone to come back and assist me with a new key. There were a lot of shady characters hanging out and / or parked in the lot, prostitution and drug use/ dealing quite common.

Clean rooms, affordable, exterior in need of repairs and pool didn’t look clean

They're in the midst of a renovation so I can only guess that our room was yet to be renovated. Parking in front of our room was blocked by a dumpster that the crews were there to remove and then begin reloading again at 730 in the morning.

They are very accommodating I needed to extend my stay a few night and they where great about it and gave us same room didn’t have to move rooms that was great looks like they are doing some upgrade to the outside which is great only negative was pool wasn’t working but they did say it was being fixed and available next week thank u again was amazing

The floor in my room turned my feet almost black from walking barefoot the whole time. They DO NOT MOP! No freezer. A/C unit was totally busted open & barely blew any air. Pool & hot tub were still not open. Microwave did not spin.

My hotel room had bed bugs and neither Motel 6 nor hotels.com would refund me for the two nights I could not stay there BECAUSE OF THE BED BUGS. Do not use this hotel, and book from somewhere besides hotels.com. They will not help you get your money back no matter what happens.

The room smelled like pee. Blood in the sheets and the towels had hair.

Door had holes in seals so small insects, flies, mosquitos and moths could get in to the room. Floors were filthy. Sheets were stained but smelled clean. Motel is allegedly about to be renovated, hopefully that will improve things.

I killed three brown roaches in my room. That's not a good thing so this motel has roaches.

I reserved on hotels.com and when i got there to check in the front desk girl couldnt find my reservation, it took forever for her to pull it up. Eventually she found it with my booking number. Okay cool, head up to the room. Non smoking yet theres 2 ash trays in the room and it smells like someone just now put a cigarette out inside the room. Whatever its to be expected at a motel 6, okay. The toilet looked to have drops of blood in the bottom of it, had to pee anyway and flushed it it went away. Big hole in the ceiling above the beds around the fire sprinkler We got the room bc we were going to a show at the Tacoma Dome and didnt want to drive all the way home after. We ended up coming back to the room afterwards, laying on top of the covers for a while and then deciding to drive home anyway bc none of us would have ever gone to sleep listening to whatever was going on outside and the cigarette scented bed sheets. The AC made the room frigid and dry. Switched to heat and the air felt wet and humid it was weird and uncomfortable. I've stayed in some crappy motels before but this was disappointing enough to not even stay after paying $140 to ? Basically store my backpack while i went to the concert. Blah

Roaches and bedbugs

The first room was assigned to me, was dirty, trash everywhere and the bed wasn’t cleaned at all. They assigned me the second room, it smells cigarettes and the bedsheets was stained and it’s not cleaned.

The rooms lack cleanliness. The hotel room / bathroom smelt of mold and urine. There are no amenities. The beds were small and very uncomfortable. There were strange stains throughout the walls and definitely could use some cleaning. The room did not look nor feel clean. I am pleased though that the house keeper nearby came with no hesitation to give our room another cleaning. Towels provided were extremely small meant more for a child. Our stay was 2 nights and 3 days and asked for room service which we did not get. Will not be coming back.

There were roaches in my room. I should be able to get a night freeze since I slept uncomfortably worrying about the roaches crawling on me.

The heater unit makes too much noise and the mattress is too old

First room smelt like cigarette smoke badly.Staff provided a new room no problem.2nd room was better but walls are very thin could hear sinks and toilets and people talking.

The room was recently renovated and was fantastic! Only complaint was that the bed was very lumpy and worn out. Plus there was not enough handicap parking spots or wide/long enough parking spaces. Some sketchy people around but we had no issues. Nice place to stay and we'll be staying there again!

Newly remodeled rooms but our room was in desperate need of repair. The shower and toilet leaked water all over the floor plus the new lights didnt work. Plus parts of the room were dirty. The staff ws very nice and we like the remodeled rooms. Convenient plug ins too.

Everything in Seattle near my event was booked, and to make things worse, this room was not cheap. The mattress was horrible it had a significant dent/ sink-In hole. Woke up with back pain. The room smelled of smoke, I thought, although my husband thought it smelled like feet. I Would not stay here again. Several of the guest looked sketchy. Check out counter was still closed at 08:30am the next day when trying to check out.

The property was relatively clean, the room was clean and had been updated some years before, but the bed was absolutely wore out and the A/C made the room damp.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The location was terrible. Took a walk and there were crack pipes on the sidewalk. The heater/air conditioner cover was broken. The outside of the door looked like someone tried to break on. The floor was dirty and couldn’t walk around without socks or shoes. No in room coffee. Bed was comfortable.

Front desk Reyna super efficient and handles customers very well. Alot of rude customers in that area. Front desk handles them well.

Staff was never in the office to check in or check out

the front desk staff kicked me out of the hotel even though i had paid online (through expedia) and didn’t check in with the front desk. i attempted to call the front desk and the phone rang on and on no answer. it’s freezing outside with sideways rain and wind and these so called staff have been keeping the lobby locked and forcing customers to stand outside in the cold and communicate thru a night window DURING THE DAY. so instead of phoning my room and letting me know i needed to fill out more paper or something (it still wasn’t made clear to me what exactly i was supposed to do) these lovely staff people kicked me out. they sent a homely little man to WATCH ME pack my things while he stood in the doorway of the room (that i’d PAID FOR) with the door wide open with the wind and rain coming in acting like i was some sort of criminal. the beautiful staff of this gorgeous establishment then lied to me about when the manager would be on duty and refused to give me a means of contacting said manager, actually repeatedly shouting WE WILL NOT GIVE U THE MANAGERS HOME PHONE NUMBER, which i wasn’t asking them to do in the first place. later after getting in touch with expedia, this paradise of an inn then refused the request for a full refund. so after treating me like a criminal and a dog and kicking me out of a room id paid for, these god blessed children of christ also thought they were ENTITLED TO MY MONEY. jesus take the wheel. dont ever stay here.

I went to check into my room that I already had paid for and they said they wouldn't check me in due to my visit with them but I didn't have any issues and when I checked out they gave me my deposit back so I was very confused and since I used the rest of the money I had to buy the room I couldn't go anywhere else so I was outside in the cold for the whole time

I was denied my room after I already paid for it and they couldn't explain to me why I was denied I was stuck outside in the rain all night due to me spending the last bit of money I had to book it

We waited for 20 mins in line to check in cause the reception lady was arguing on her cellphone with someone telling them that they can come compensate her personally for dealing with an unruly guest! Then proceeded to talk to him laughing while there was 6 people in line trying to check in! Then in the room we had to go back and forth to the office and store to get items that should have already been in the room (soap, shampoo ice bucket) it was awful and then we had to unfortunately get another night and it cost 129$ for a 1 star place! Very disappointing

Rude ignorant staff, i could not understand anything they said it took 20 minutes to get checked in, they could not find the reservation, the they wanted a cash deposit, then they wanted more paperwork filled out, it took 30 minutes to get to the room because of the incompetent and rude arrogant staff

It was a good stay , friendly staff at check in. Not the best area , but all in all a fine stay

It seemed like a few homeless people were impacting this area…as in many areas. Everyone was very nice, the dog that barked all night next door was frustrating…and we have and love dogs….the room was newly renovated and really nice!

I liked that I was able to get checked into my room, late at night, fairly quickly and that I had a ground floor, corner room. Also loved the bed and pillows as they were so comfortable. What I thought was a little put off was that the micro fridge in the room was not working, even though it was plugged in. I need to use it for snacks. Microwave worked just fine. The biggest problem I had was a lot of sketchy, street people hanging around the sidewalk in front of my room and there was too much drama going on late at night such as people street racing, car alarms going off, and people in the room above me kept jumping up and down on the floor like a trampoline.

We didn't feel safe. There is homeless people all around the property, drug dealings happening around the property. Uncomfortable beds. Construction going on to the property that was disruptive to our stay, they shouldn't book the rooms around that.

It was inexpensive and close to my destination for a wedding, not too far from Sea-Tac either. I stayed with my siblings and the bed was comfortable. I did order a non-smoking room and ended up with a room that stunk of cigarettes with burns all over the bathtub. But otherwise it was still clean and the front desk attendants were friendly. If you want shampoo, bring your own unless you want to pay $3 for a tiny bottle haha. Vending machines sadly didn't work either when I tried. But it was worth it for the money, no big complaints here. You get what you pay for! Would stay again if I end up back in the area.

Elmers is good food really close by. There seemed like there was a lot of tweakers staying there, the tv didn’t work well but it worked. Still better than super 8 other then the tv

Easy check in and out. Friendly staff. Room was right by the dig walk area so perfect for my pet as well. Close to everything in town and even got a discount at IHOP for breakfast!

A coffee maker in the room would have been good. Tea bags in the coffee station in the morning would be an improvement.
