Easy and personable check in. Friendly staff. Cool location.

Great location, comfortable bed, good in room amenities. The property seems older but it’s a better value than other options at which I stayed in the area.

The property does not have an elevator and has 3 floors. The receiption office closes at 11:00 pm. I arrived at 10:20 pm but there was no one at the front desk. I honked once (it was late and I did not want to wake up anyone) but receptionist did not arrive. I called their number after googling the property's address. Receptionist arrived some time after that call.

I booked this room for the balcony view and it did not disappoint. I spent my time working form the hotel room desk but very much enjoyed the view and location while doing so. A few hiccups that make this review 4 and not 5 stars. Upon check in there was not anyone at the front desk. A sign said the staff member would be back shortly as they were helping a customer. Ok, fine. There was a # to call for an emergency. No big deal. I can wait a few minutes. I went to my car and after 20 min went back and called the #. The staff member was away eating dinner. So I arrived at 5:15 but didn't get to check into my room until 5:40 or so. I unpacked and headed to shower as I had arrived from an 11 mile hike. I go to get in the shower and there are NO towels. I call the front desk and ask if someone can bring me towels. Nope. So needless to say this was not a great start. Honestly, I think I should have been comped for my inconvenience, but the next day I only saw the same worker at the desk and I just haven't got around to calling about it. I ate dinner at the Pho restaurant across the street. It was delicious. I walked to town and if you continue to the totem pole you hit 1 mile. There were about 10 deer on the beach in the morning also. Sadly they were scared off by motor boat the pretended to head their way and some noisy kids.

Old school road side motel updated reasonably well. Right on the water, clean, and helpful staff.
