The room wasnt the cleanest: im fairly certain there was mold. The outdoor pool also had a ton of algae in it, which made (even my) daughtet not wanna stay in it tooblong. It used to be The Residence Inn, and it was in much better condition when it was.

Will not stay here again. Arrived at 3:45 pm and was told I would be charged $15 fee for checkin before 4 pm. They also charge a $5 parking fee per night on top of room charge. $2.50 for small off brand bottled waters. Feels like owner is trying to nickel and dime guests. Rooms are “clean” enough, but everything is stained and dingy from carpets to furniture . Don’t look too hard or you will find greasy food remnants and an old hair comb in the warming drawer of oven and an old beer cap in the sofa cushions. Mildew on the shower curtain. Screens on windows shredded and flapping in the wind like some kind of post apocalyptic scene. One pot in the full kitchen, nothing else to cook with. Halls and elevator carpet are atrocious and smell musty and like cigarette smoke. No linens for pull out sofa bed in room. When I called at 7pm, I was told the linens were in the laundry and they would be ready in an hour and a half. They should have been ready at check in. No blankets on beds, only thin coverlets. Cops were called to the property several times. The overall feel is shabby and shady. Did not feel comfortable or safe. Feels like a sinking ship. Room rates are too high for the conditions. The positives: comfortable mattresses, spacious room, we enjoyed the breakfast, pleasant staff.

The elevator carpet was the same and it had a horrible smell. The ash try by the door wasnt emptied in a few days and it rained so all the butts were swimming in a disgusting sludge. There was no room service and minimal towels. The workout room needed updating. The bench was so worn the foam was showing. Only stay here if your desperate or if its only for one night.

I was traveling for business and with 3 kids the room was great. Very large with kitchen area. Table was very wobbly, no trash can, dirty shower, mold on shower curtain, bathtub doesn’t work. WORST PART -chose bc pool was advertised just for it to be chain locked and STAFF COULD NOT GIVE AN ANSWER AS TO WHY. I asked for an extra pillow and STAFF told me no but the manager got me one. IF THE POOL IS CLOSED FOR THREE DAYS AT LEAST SAY WHY FOR THE KIDS.

First off i use sonesta a lot when i travel. This particular visit started off wrong with a error in my reservation with the front desk checking in. Fortunately there was a nice older lady that assisted and got us checked in correctly and even gave fresh linen and extra towels. We proceeded to our hotel room around back ,upon entrance there was a strong smell of dog urine by the elevator, which set of my allergies, luckily there was a cvs at the corner. The room appeared to be cleaned but the carpet not so much. Is wasnt a bad stay for the price. Breakfasts was ok not too much of a variety, the cook came out too bring out the food and was very nice. The kitchen in the room could of used more pots, pans and utencils. All of the residents was real nice. The pool was open and clean. There were multiple gas grills by the pool area which was awesome. Then there is a billing issue where i paid for the trip through hotels. Com but somehow my card still got charged, ive called the front desk spoke to a john who stated, he didn't see anything in my account. So now i have to go through the whole song and dance to get my money back. Oh yeah, i came back with pink eye

This hotel was awful. The property is in need of a complete overhaul. Major stains on the carpets in the halls and in the rooms, dirty couches, broken and animal chewed furniture. In addition the cigarette and marijuana smells were overpowering. I had to move rooms because it was so bad in my first room. Even though they have a no smoking policy, it’s clearly not enforced. I would absolutely never stay at this hotel again and maybe never another Sonesta ES.

Walked into room smell of cigarettes hits hard. Called front desk lady says your the 3rd one to complain about this? Why? It's non smoking. Lots of hair on bathroom floor walls and tiolet. Lady at front said I had to call hotels.com to complain because I guess it's their fault the room is dirty. Hotel lobby is deceiving looked nice. I didn’t expect it to be perfect based on other customer reviews and price, but the carpet in our suite was covered in grease stains, the bottom of the bathtub was grey with old dirt, and — this was the kicker — I opened a closet to look for sheets to put on the pullout couch and inside the closet was a heap of soiled linens, hair-covered towels, and stained pillows from a previous guest. I went to tell the (genuinely) nice woman at the front desk about it and she asked if I would be able to put the linens in the hall for housekeeping to pick up. I guess they don’t come into guests’ rooms. I did that, pretty much gagging the whole time. Also, I kept my shoes on the entire time I was in the suite to avoid touching the foul carpet. The toilet and bed were both clean, thankfully, but I couldn’t get home to shower in a clean bathroom fast enough. I’ll never stay there again.

The outside of this property is in good shape, but I think it is completely under staffed because the front desk person is apparently also the breakfast staff so everything is unable to be taken care of as it should be. The first room we were given didn't seem bad at first, it was definitely spacish, but then after really looking at things the cleanliness of both rooms we stayed in was quite disgusting, the second room definitely was not cleaned in between the last guest and us

As I opened the door to my room a pungent smell of cigarettes greeted me like a slap in the face. I did not expect the unappealing setting that met me. The room was so dusty my husband and son started sneezing immediately! I was already disappointed by the short walk to the building my room was in and the walk in the lobby. Everything is outdated and looked unclean. Inside the room the tv didn't work, there was no toilet paper, and there was no wifi. When I returned to the front desk the lady laughed and said,"I'm alone here". I thankfully brought my own disinfectants and proceeded to clean the toilet and the tabletops. The bed was not hotel crispy and it's usually at an upscale hotel. I checked the bed for bedbugs and when I failed to see any went to bed. My sleep was disturbed by the itching I felt all night. Although I didn't have bites I can bet there was something on there. The pool was murky and seemed like it wasn't cleaned in a while. This place had free breakfast but we didn't bother. If the rooms were kept in that condition I can only imagine the food. For the price I paid it was not worth it. The worst $325 I've wasted ever!!!

The staff s super nice and friendly but the hotel needs some work. Our door didn’t look sturdy or like it closed. And you can hear EVERYTHING including the person who ran around the room above us at 11:30 pm. Not necessarily hotels fault but you can hear EVERYTHING. So don’t look for sound proofing. The bathroom needs updating, the bed covers are paper thin and the carpet felt gross. So wear shoes

+ place is HUGE! easily the largest hotel/motel room ive been to (ive been to around 10) + The room i used had a full sized refrigerator, sink, and microwave + i stayed 2 nights and both nights when i went outside, there was a police car patroling the area +- Cheap and affordable, but bear in mind its basically a motel (you can see your car in front of your hotel window) ~the couches were very scratched up and used ~the shower faucet kept dripping even when turned off ~The only thing seperating you from someone with ill-intent, is a thin large window, kind of unnerving. I looked it up and it seems that bedrooms in PA legally have to have full sized escrow windows in case of fire, so this isn't the hotels fault. Just be sure to ask for a room not on the first floor. +Room smelled fine (you have no idea how often hotel rooms have a musk smell to them, but this one did not)

The room was very dated and not what I expected for almost $300 a night. We had a two bedroom suite with a sofa bed which was deplorable. The sofa was sunken in and stained the mattress was also stained and rusted. Had to go to the local store and purchase an Air Matress because the sofabed was unusable. There was a loud noise that was coming from the heating system and the fridge started making loud noises in the middle of the night that caused us to unplug it just so that we could sleep. I really dont understand how you recieved such a good rating on such a terrible property. I would never suggest that anyone should stay at this property until they fully remodel there units, this was totally unaccectable

The rooms are kinda clean for how old they are. Nothings been updated in the rooms, beds, curtains, etc. noisy in the halls. Tons of foreigners and their entire families living here. Saw the police here busting drug dealers. Strange people in and out. Reminds me of the hood or somewhere near the projects. Food and garbage all over the halls and elevator. Dirty needles by the dumpster. Room service never comes and cleans or asks to change your linens. They give you an issue when you ask for clean towels and blankets and pillows. Way over priced for the poor condition and atmosphere. Also ask for a $250 deposit with no leniency even if you extend your stay, you’ll have to pay an additional $250 even if you haven’t gotten your deposit back yet. Crooks. They have a Mexican who barely speaks English standing behind the desk with the women to intimidate customers.

The public areas were dirty and smelly. Worst of all was that the electronic key card access did not work on any doors! We couldn't get into the building where our room was, and then once we got in there (front desk person let us in) we couldn't get into our room (front desk person let us in)! This happened every time we left the hotel. And it wasn't just us, other people we saw were having the same problems. Very frustrating (even the front desk person, who was very nice, said she is covering for someone else and will never do work at that property again). Stay somewhere else!

It was “fine.” No real problems. The room keys never worked to get into the building I had to keep going back to front desk. “Breakfast” was super limited. They had no more coffee cups during both of my days there, so the boy working the breakfast said to use the plastic cups? What a horrible idea. The same boy said he wouldnt make more coffee because he would have to make an entire pot. He seemed real annoyed to have to do his job when people asked for things because nothing was stocked. The room had a lot of stains on the carpet, but did appear to be clean. I had a bunch of dirty clothes under my bed from a previous guest. The air conditioner was great. The pool looked super clean. Hotel was pet friendly, but it was still very clean. I would stay here again for a short stay, but just expect minimums.

I booked this hotel in March 2023, for a July stay (Lacrosse tournament) and PAID IN FULL. When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed at the front desk that Expedia cancelled my reservation and they were fully booked. The woman at the front desk and the manager jumped in to help me and we're able to get me a room at the Sonesta sister site next door. So I really can't comment on this hotel, but wanted to say how helpful their staff was.

We did not have a great check-in, and the woman who was at the counter was very rude to us, and other customers behind us. Then once we got into the room, our television didn’t work. It would shut down randomly and the channels wouldn’t load. After a long day we wanted to just relax and enjoy staying in a hotel but were made to feel like more of a chore than a valued guest which was discouraging.

You pay $5/night for parking when there was plenty of spaces available. Just another way to buckle and dime the customer. The telephone in the room did not work, so every time I needed the front desk I had to walk to it. There were no linens in the room for the pull out sofa bed. I had issues with the key card. First it wouldn’t open the door to the building my room was in; and once they fixed that it didn’t open the room door so I had to walk back to the front desk to fix it a second time. It’s located in the back of an unsafe section of town. The room was spacious. I’m not sure that I would choose the place a second time. It was very empty for a holiday weekend

I travel with kids and pet. The place is dog friendly they even supply bags for the poop. The breakfast is ok but in case you need extra thier is a mini mall at about 5 minutes walk plus a Applebee's and gas station next to the property

We stayed here a few years ago when it was a Residence Inn and were very pleased at the time. Sonesta bought this (as part of over 1100 hotels that they bought up in 2021, nationwide) and they need to spend money on this property. Old dirty public area carpets, needs new interior paint jobs. Lots of cigarette butts around the exterior. The room itself was nice and clean. Very nice people though and a nice breakfast included, with very friendly breakfast crew. I don't think that I'd stay here again until Sonesta put some money back into the property and refreshed it.

I didn’t like that because we arrived an hour early we couldn’t check into our rooms without paying an additional $50 per room so we waited in the lobby with all our bags and dog. It wasn’t because the rooms weren’t ready # 2-The elevator was very dirty, especially the carpet-hadn’t been vacuumed in days #3- the clerk put an additional $250 on my bill “just in case” I purchased something which brought my bill to $479 initially. I have never had such a “pre” charge billed to my credit card during any other hotel stay #4 there was a leak in the bathroom sink
